It's a franchise and each location has its quirks. If you have never done reformer pilates - TAKE YOUR TIME. It can be intimidating. Once I got myself into the studio, it was an interesting experience from there. Expect everyone to be delicately lean and know what they are doing (to a fault) when it comes to pilates. Other skills... well, we all are different. As a latino, I felt odd. As a 12 year zumba instructor, a lot of the mechanics were second nature to me, albeit the instructor for the day tried a "little too hard. Kudos for keeping safety at the forefront. It's not cheap, so if you are looking for price, this isn't the place for you. Given the drive and off of Route 9 (MY NEMESIS), I have some considerations. But I'd like to at least try the 4 pack one on one training sessions to get into the groove and see if this is something I can commit to longer term. As with any other program - work your way into it, unless you are one of the young superfreaks of nature (me, 35 years ago!). Pilates can be a gentle and effective way to strengthen, tone and lengthen, improving posture, balance and overall functional fitness activities (aka life in general). I have mixed feelings but I wasn't totally put off (chime in here F45 Wakeforest, NC area...). It's a logistics thing. If you are mainstream, middle income - you'll find yourself a great place to take your fitness to a new challenged.

I always leave class feeling more calm and regulated and have gained a lot of strength and mobility, as well as better posture. I have taken fitness classes at other places before, and I love getting to take classes with different instructors who all have very different teaching styles. if you are a beginner to Pilates, Koni and Mary are amazing at teaching proper form and very proactive with corrections. Koni is also very high energy and her classes are always fun. My favorite instructors are Beri and Angela, who both explain moves very clearly and teach with a clear progression. I see another review mentioning that class wasn't challenging enough for them. I have found that different instructors have different styles and some are more intense and fast paced and others focus on going slow and mind body connection, so it might take a while to find the instructors whose styles you prefer. And in all classes instructors provide options to make it more challenging. You can also take Cardio Sculpt classes which are super fun and use the jump board, and Center and Balance which focus on stretching and recovery in addition to the regular flow classes. They have added higher level classes in the months since opening. Although it is a little pricy, Club Pilates is more affordable than other reformer Pilates places in the area, has awesome instructors, and if you attend classes consistently, is a solid investment in your health!
