Perfect for the days of COVID-19 -- seriously. We ordered a loaf of gefilte fish, a little roast chicken, some broccoli kugel and some potato kugel, and truly excellent pastrami -- all to go. We stopped at a nearby bakery for marble rye and then took the whole megillah to a nearby park. BOOM! Instant picnic! I love eating on the fly in New York. They're stealing from their customers. Charging 43$ for 3 small containers of chicken. So many other great restaurants in great neck where you can get as delicious food if not better for a more reasonable price. This use to be a favorite of ours but this is insane and it's not okay. 3 addition even smaller containers of sides brought the total bill to 76$. This is hands down the best butcher in Great Neck, kosher or non kosher alike. The food is amazing, their catering services are awesome, the meat section is unbelievable. If I could put this any lower than 1 star, I wish I could because this is what this place deserves. This is one of most terrible service I've ever received in my life in regards to a delivery. Don't get me wrong, I loved their food. My favorite food are from there. I would come and order their famous "Popper's sandwiches" during my lunch hours. But to anyone who wants to place a delivery, will need to hear this. This had happen BEFORE in the past. I called them exactly 4:10 in the after noon, ordering their sandwiches. It was a woman who told me she had someone doing a delivery but the latest he will get here will be 5:30. Which at first I thought that was too long but I was in no rush. At 5:30, no one came by my door. Not to mention, this is a LOCAL deli that takes no more than 10 mins to get here. I call them again and ask if they forgot about my order. She said the delivery guy hasn't even return yet. So I decided to wait another 30 mins... No one came. I called them again to see if the delivery guy came back. The woman on the phone told me the he was on his way in "5 mins". Another 30 mins later.. no one came. I was already impatient And hungry already. It was about a quarter before 7 pm. I called again for the fourth time, and instead the woman who was on the phone was instead a guy. I was already raising my voice. (I was warranted to be this angry after waiting almost 3 hours). While I was ranting... I realized the guy on the phone but me on the phone without informing he would be put me on hold! The woman picked up the phone and she said the delivery guy was almost there. Another 30 mins came...it was 7:10pm... I called them and demand them to cancel my order. I was already extremely angry at this point. The woman begged me not to cancel and she was repeating the guy who was still on his way. I didn't want to hear it. I was yelling to cancel my order because it was just absurd and ridiculous having to say 3 hours for food! I didn't deserve this treatment, and frankly no body should ever either. I never got my food and will never call a delivery again. I hope this help a lot if you ever considering ordering this place. read more
