At a recent Wednesday farmers market at Blaisdell I wandered around until deciding to try this pop up stand. I love middle eastern food but had never heard of Kosharee, which was featured on their sign. It was essentially a grain and pasta salad, which spices and other things. It was something fun to try, but would've loved to have had some fresh veggies with it. Regardless, I had a great experience here; the people working at the stand were welcoming and friendly. When asked if I liked spicy, he included a green and red sauce to have with it. Both were flavorful and delicious. Prices are reasonable for large portions. I would love to try something else from them next time!

Ordered delivery for lunch today. Brisket Moco was on sale...$3 off...and was awesome. Brisket was soft except for some of the ends but not negative in any way. Very flavorful with two eggs on top of beef brisket and basmati rice. Also, requested the Mezze Box sampler: Hummus and Toum were the options that I chose...also included olives and jalapeños. It comes with falafel ( amazing), Haloumi cheese, fries ( soggy ) , and pita. Nice selection and mostly excellent.

What a love hate relationship we had with Middle Eats! When we were waiting outside the building for over half an hour we told ourselves "we will never come back again!". But after we took the first bites of our food we were like "why is the food so good?! Fine we will suck it up and deal with the wait next time!" The reason for 4 star review is strictly due to the wait time. I would give 10 stars just for the food. We ordered our food around 5:30pm on uber eats and was told that it would be ready close to 6pm. We arrived 55 Merchant Street. You wouldn't see any storefront I believe they are located inside one of those commercial buildings. Anyway we let them we have arrived and they said food almost ready and they will bring it out. Nothing happened at 6:15pm. We called again. They apologized and said coming down now. Another 15 minutes passed. We called them again and they just said the same thing. So we finally got our food after 6:30pm. And the food? Omg I haven't had Middle Eastern food this good for a long time (or ever?!). We ordered Kofta wrap (lamb and chicken) and I don't know what seasonings they have used but the flavors were so rich. I usually like lamb more than chicken but the chicken was seasoned really really well and wasn't salty at all! And I didn't know falafel can taste so good with rice! We were literally crying with joy because we didn't expect the food would be this good lol. Hopefully they could iron out the kinks so this won't happen again because their food is just too good!

Food was delicious but it's difficult to find as there's no markings anywhere (it's a commercial virtual/ghost kitchen). YOU MUST text them that you're here along with your phone number and name. A handsome man will come out with your food. Just wait near the sidewalk across from the old Kumu Kahua theater.

Gotta change it up every once in awhile. Deviating from my usual Thai food plate, i decided to try Middle Eats. Their plates are priced reasonably, in the $16-$18+ range and their service is good. Everything is made to order so it takes about 10 minutes from ordering to pick up. Just enough time to browse the fruit stands! The kosharee is like Egyptian comfort food: lots of carbs (rice, pasta), beans, lentils, & a spicy sauce. A nice vegan change of pace. It comes with garlic vinegar sauce (very potent!,...bring gum!) and a very spicy red sauce. It hit the spot for me! The chicken kebab plate had a large mound of long grain rice, cooked in a booth. The chicken was tasty and tender. This plate comes with a small salad, pita bread, and sour cream. Portions on both plates were very generous, and we had enough leftover for a smaller 2nd meal. Overall, it was a nice change of pace and a good value, too!

Grabbed some food here while at the farmers market at Blaisdell. It did not disappoint! The workers were very nice, and since my friend and I got the food at the farmers market, we just sat on the curb to eat in the fresh open air. I haven't been to the storefront, so I'm glad Middle Eats is at this farmers market. There aren't a lot of places to get Middle Eastern food in Hawaiʻi, so I was stoked to get some shawarma and kosharee. That sauce for the kosharee is fire! Haven't had kosharee since being in Egypt 15 years ago. The portions are generous, so you won't leave hungry. Glad my friend and I got to share two things. I'll be back!

Exploring lunch options downtown, I stumbled on this option. It's not a storefront so I had to find it on UberEats for pick up. They also offer delivery. There's clear quality in the food. It's also pretty consistent across the board. They have a great variety and really fun packaging/marketing materials. We love a good lunch box.

Absolutely fantastic. Can we talk about their new branded takeout bowls and boxes?! LOVE! We've been fans since the pop-ups at Capitol Modern and it's so great to see how they've grown. Our family got the mezze box, kibbeh batata, lamb kofta and shawarma brisket bowls, and a salad bowl with chicken. Everything was 10/10! The mezze box was a great way to sample everything. I'm obsessed with the cumin fries--they were so addicting. I'll be getting a full order of those next time. Great babaganoush and we loved the garlic toum--put it on everything. It was our first time trying kibbeh so we didn't know what to expect and were blown away--flavor bombs! Highly recommend. As for the bowls: The brisket was super tender, the kofta was juicy and flavorful, and the portions were so filling--we'll have lunch for tomorrow too! My mom loved the salad and dressing--super fresh and they gave a lot of chicken. Generous portions, fresh high quality ingredients, bold flavors, and you can tell a lot of care went into it all. Thank you for a great meal! We'll be back soon.

Food is delicious and portion size is great! Downfall, only 1 out of 3 times my order was ready on time. I ordered online and a time is given as to what time it will be ready. My order pick up time is 12:10pm. It is now 12:30pm. I texted when I arrived with no response. Called at 12:20pm and the person who answered the phone told me I have to call when I arrive so they can have it ready. Hmmmm, didn't hear that the prior times I've ordered and why would there be a time to pick up the order if I still need to call the I get there.

Absolutely delicious. Finding a spot to wait took me a while. I should've read reviews! Pickup is in a residential building, but on the first floor where there are other businesses. Everything I ordered was vegetarian. I wish the sambusa was a side order! I could eat way too many. Baba ganoush has great Smokey flavor and very smooth. Green tahini is delicious too.

I was at the village market that happens every Saturday night at Pearlridge. After walking around,…read morewe decided that one of the vendors we will try from would be Pelmeshki, which serves up pierogis, which is a type of dumplings. We order an order of half beef and half cheese & potatos. The vendor recommended us get panfried (between the two options of boiled or panfried). We got to choose two sauce which we went with garlic and shoyu chili. We had to wait SO long, I think it was around 15-20+ minutes. Overall, the pierogis were just okay, my friend didn't like the potato & cheese one and the beef one was just mediocre for us. The wrapper were thick and the sauces weren't very flavorful which just made it all taste bland. The shoyu chili was NOT spicy at ALL, like not even a hint. I personally don't think I would want/try this again.

Dumpling lover…read more.. Honestly I am and when I first discovered Pelmeshki which usually has been in the back end of the Village Night Market at Pearlridge Center I had already bought something to eat and with the amount they sell in one order there's no way that I can do it all by myself lol! These are Russian dumplings which looks like tortelloni or even some won tons that are round but are super cute and is filled with beef and pork you can have it pan fried or steamed and though I usually like pan fried I chose for steamed as it felt it would be more light and soft textured. A paired with a choice of sauce it was spicy shoyu for me. Placed my order but be prepared to wait as it's made to order though it did give me time to look around and see if anything else would capture my attention but before my eyes speak for my belly I headed back and was excited to see it was ready. Let me tell you these pillowy beauties was delicious though the dough is a bit on the chewy side as it was thicker similar to like a mandoo but it was delicious and with 20 for an order it's totally shareable and the sauce was on the thicker side and wasn't really spicy but is nice and flavorful to give a bit of kick to the Pelmeshki. The vibe at the night market is very festive and vibrant with lots of seating under the tent and a few cocktail tables for a quick bite making this a great place have some food, fun and freeing enjoyment. Thank you!
