I am writing this to warn the Tucson community about severe, deceptive service violations and potential vehicle sabotage at this location (333 W Valencia Rd). If you value your vehicle's safety, do not bring it here. I brought my meticulously maintained 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe here for routine oil changes using a Groupon. On my second visit, a manager tried to scare me into a $700 passenger-side CV axle replacement that I didn't need. When I returned for my third visit on April 11th, that same manager doubled down. After I confronted him with research proving CV axles don't magically fail between oil changes, things took a deeply alarming turn. I went outside and discovered my car was not on a lift or in the service bay, it was parked completely around the back of the building which the current manager, Joseph, has formally admitted on the record is a direct violation of official company protocol. Another manager, Angelo, checked the car, confirmed the CV axle claim was completely false, and the shady employee was apparently let go two weeks ago due to a pattern of dishonest behavior. However, the damage was already done. The second I drove off the lot on April 11th, my radio, dashboard presets, and vehicle settings were completely wiped and reset to factory defaults. Shady mechanics do this by disconnecting the battery or using a scanner to force-clear error codes and hide warning lights. Worse, they failed to even give me a new windshield mileage sticker and I had to go back to get one. Since that exact visit, my vehicle has suffered from a severe "dragging" sensation upon acceleration and odd shifting. It is highly probable my car went without oil, was refilled with completely incorrect oil, or was physically tampered with during that unprocedural time around back. On May 22nd, I took the car to the Oracle Rd. location to redeem my final oil change, only for them to put it on the lift and suddenly point out a massive, active turbocharger oil leak. The Oracle location may very well be covering for the Valencia site's liabilities. Corporate customer service (Case Reference: 4373693) has repeatedly stalled, and the District Manager, Mike, has failed to contact me. When I brought the vehicle back to Valencia for a manager walkthrough, a technician who was present during the April 11th incident conveniently pretended to have amnesia. They never offered to make it right or even to compensate for gas to come in. Because this business broke protocol, handled my car in an unmonitored area, and effectively compromised a major mechanical system, I am demanding that the corporate office immediately preserve the back-alley security camera footage. I am completely uncomfortable letting this company touch my car again. I am invoking my right to an independent, third-party diagnostic teardown at a certified Hyundai dealership, and I expect this company to cover the towing, direct dealership repair costs, and a rental vehicle. Until they take accountability for their technicians' deceptive and damaging actions, stay far away from this network. I am allowing for opportunity to make right what has been done by this company before I proceed with a lawsuit. I am a mom who is now out of a vehicle, at no fault of my own for trusting a company to perform a service that was paid for and I expect this to be resolved swiftly. read more

Fell into this honeypot after a sour experience at Brake Masters. I guess it happens a lot. They took my car within 15 minutes, diagnostics in 15 more, parts 45 minutes to get to the store and the clerk and manager made the wait right and the clerk updated me regularly, and threw in an oil change. Was the worst place to go ever !! They charged me $654 to fix a censor so I could pass emissions ... but the check engine light turned on in two days after I left the shop. I don't recommend anyone going there. They charge a lot of money. I took my car to another mechanic and he said the censors had not even been changed. They're very dishonest and not a good place to go beware do not go there!!!! when I went back to speak to the manager who is named Chris. He lied about everything very dishonest. Came in for the $18.99 semisynthetic oil change and inspection/rotation with no appointment. The final price was great only added tax and $5.50 shop fee. There was no hard sale. Just informed me of minor issues. I listened to others and there was, also, no pressure or attempts to up sale. Only issue was having to listen to employee issues, people not working out and being moved. No anti covid action going on. No wiping things, no social distancing lines or moved chairs. They try to rip people off! Let me first preface this by saying that my son's engine and battery were all in very good order. My son's car needed an oil change but they put some thing on his battery to make it look as if it were corroding and made it sound that if he didn't get a new battery right away, his car would not start at all. After further inspection, it was some other white substance that they did remove and they still continued about getting a new battery or it would not start. So we said that we would just take our chances and go to the dealer if we need it. There has been no corrosion sense and it continues to start and this is been four months later. In addition, while we were waiting for them to fix the supposed corrosion, we overheard them trying to sell a lady a battery for over $800 -$900 .... tell me that doesn't sound like a rip off. read more

I had the them check the brakes and they reported the same information my previous mechanic had reported 2 weeks before. So they were honest, friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. Once again I got totally ripped off. I should have know better. For less than one hour labor t weld on 2 muffler which I supplied, they charged me $160. Afterword I checked with other shops. They said should have been more like $85 max. I hate these guys. read more

I wish I could rate them negative cuz they almost killed me and my brother!!!! I took my car to them to change out my control arm and boots cause no one just changed the boots anymore. After they told my at first it came off when they was test driving it but it was good now. After driving in the high way I was getting vibrations on my steering wheel. I thought maybe it messed up the alignment so I took it back to break masters and told them the problem and they checked it and told me the alignment was still good it was the control arm bolt and nut. They guy who worked on it remembered it being their and I told them I took it to Midas behind them to put that on. He said they maybe lost the original screw and but and put some other screw on and cut it to fit. When I found this out I went to the dealership to get the original nut to put on it. I went back to them to make this right and they put it on and test drive it and told me it was fine. There wasn't any vibration so I thought it was good. I drove to Phoenix and back no problem. Drove to California and back no issue but when I was driving back from the grocery store my tire broke off. The screw was stripped! I'm guess from vibration until it finally came off!!! My car never been in a serious wreck or had any issues I didn't get fixed right away! I will be going to the store first thing today and if they don't make this right I will be reporting this to the BBB and contacting a lawyer on the matter!!!! BEWARE!! Do not get any work done here! They punctured my hose and just tucked it out if the way when doing a simple oil change! My vehicle overheated within 1 mile and coolant was pouring out like a waterfall! They do sloppy work at best. Idk if it was intentional or not, but either way it was pretty obvious and very unprofessional and negligent on their behalf. I can't believe they just let me leave without saying anything! (See picture) I'll start by saying I walked right in and they immediately greeted me and took my keys. My keys were quickly given to a mechanic and my car was being worked on in less than 3 minutes. I was just there for a simple oil change. They pointed out a few things I should be concerned about. Cool. No biggie. I wasn't pressured to have them fixed immediately. My car was finished in about 25 minutes. Speedy service. Great! I rarely drive the car so I barely noticed yesterday (after a couple weeks later or after approximately driving 150 miles) two small drops of oil on my clean driveway. So I opened up the hood to see if I can figure out where the leak was coming from. I was shocked to see my oil cap upside down just sitting on top of the hole where you pour the oil into. Nobody uses this car but me. I keep it locked. It would be impossible for anyone other than Midas to have done this to my car. I am lucky I noticed the two drops of oil on my concrete. This is insane. Can you imagine what it would have cost me to replace my engine if I would not have caught this??? And I'm sure Midas would have told me to get lost. The car was a gift from my late father and I used the car to help care for my late grandmother and my late husband in that car. I am in no position to get a replacement car. So I can't even work. I knew I needed more work but just couldn't afford it at this time. He understood and said they would just do the work I asked for. Perhaps the last customer did not communicate effectively. Had some issues in getting warranty work done, but he manager made it a point to get this resolved and got my truck fixed up. Still had to pay for the install, but the parts were covered. They worked with me to get price down to a reasonable level. I will be visiting them again for oil changes and tire rotations. It means a great deal, when they help out like that. read more

Had some pesky leaking problem with my car for over a year and no one seemed to nail it. Chad at Midas was running an oil change special and I stopped in. When handling that, he noticed the leaks, showed me what was happening in several areas. After a generous discount on estimated services I agreed to do it. While it did take longer than expected (2 days became 6), IT WAS FIXED with NO further problems. The most important thing to me was the quality of the work, not the time. Customers beware! If there was a way to give this business zero stars- that is how I would rate it. There is a huge banner on this location that says it is under new management because of the horrible reputation that it has. To say that they ripped me off would be an understatement. I took my Ford diesel truck in because it was close by when my engine started smoking. Biggest mistake of my life. They kept my truck for over a month- sold me used parts and charged me as if they were new parts. Charged my bank card unauthorized charges and to top it off, after paying over $7,800.00 my truck still wasn't working. I finally took it to the Ford dealer where they documented everything that was wrong with my truck and even confirmed that the wrong type of USED turbo was put on my truck. The manager Ray at the time was also just on channel 13 news because he was arrested for doing this to other customers. Seems like Midas transferred him to another location after too many complaints. I will be contacting a lawyer and the District Attorneys office. I should also mention that during this process Ray hired me to do Landscaping upgrades to the business and I never received payment. I would absolutely give this place ZERO STARS!!!!!!!!! I took my vehicle here after it had stopped running in the middle of the street. I had it towed to Midas and they supposedly checked it out also ensuring they were going to do everything it takes to have it fixed for me! It was obviously a crock of BS because when they called me with diagnosis, they informed me of needing a whole new engine. Ranging cost $3000 used, $5000 new. That was the best they could do. Immediately I decide to have it towed out to get a second opinion and to my surprise, all it was was the FUEL PUMP. THAT IS ALL! Oh, not too mention, at the end when i had my vehicle towed one of their own employees comes and whispers to me that, "To be honest with you, no one even looked at your car. its been sitting here all day. If you want, I can do it for you on the side." Why would i trust him? They're all dishonest people. The best part? My vehicle was broken into as a result of being at their shop. Hi my name is leanna i took my car into midas for an oil change they come in and say to me that my rear back breaks need to be replace so i give them they okay fo do so i pay them and so fourth after they wrk on my car i started having issues that i didnt have prior to me taking my vehicle to them so I call and I asked the guys if they can look at my vehicle I take it back 3 times still having the same issue finally I take it to Brake Masters because obviously Midas didn't have any clue on what they were doing to my car or what was causing the squealing noise turns out Midas didn't do a proper job on my vehicle as they promised to do so the brake pads on my car were really damaged Midas on Valencia is by far the worst Auto Repair place I've ever encountered I would never ever take my vehicle to them again they refuse to pay me my refund that I've spent for them to do the job that they did not do Chris Sanchez over at Brake Masters on 22nd and Kolb was very amazing he fixed my car in a couple of hours my car runs a very good very pleased with his work couldn't ask for better completed the job on my vehicle that Midas could not complete very pleased and I would recommend for customers and people to go see him it's worth it very pleased with the outcome Brake Masters did for me I will truly appreciate thank you Chris read more
