I have taken 3 of my vehicles to Midas in Roy. The team there have been open and honest with me every time. Price is a bit steeper than other places, but they have fixed my Ford F150, BMW 328, and our Toyota Avalon. They are easy to work with, stay in contact throughout the process and work hard to communicate issues. I read these reviews and truly believe that many are bots, scam artists, or customers that do not understand vehicle maintenance. Instead of removing the skid plate, they tore a great big hole in it. Not even a clean cut. Just a ragged mess hanging to the ground after. I would give them a 0 star if I could. I took my Vehicle in to get an estamate for front and rear shocks and struts. I waited for over an hour. I watch them hoist it up, but never took all the tires off, to inspect them. I watch a mechanice drive through their parking lot, sweaver back an foarth, slamming on the breakes. Going in revers as fast as he could and slam on the breaks. He drove behind the shop and drove it really hard, trying to make it worrse. They they took me under to show me show me $2,300 of repairs they could find. I've owned many older vehicles, and I new what it needed, I just wanted the cost of the repair. There was absolutly no need to drive like an idiot aroud the parking lot and making worse or destry the old parts even more. My alignment was off when I left there. They also quoted over $150 for for that. I've taken cars to Les Schab and local shops, that have never tried to make the car worse and then charge me more. If I hadn't have been watching, I wouldn't be writting this review. They said I needed $515 for brake and rotor that "might" be worn out, but they never checked. They're estimate was $400 hundered more than other lacations for the shocks/strutts. Plus they were just digging and hunting more to repair. I will never ever go back. I already told them it need shocks and struts. But they tried to make the conditions worse when they drove it around. It it need CV Boots or was clacking, I would have tol them that.. That is my second time going there. I thought Midas reputation back in the day. I'm disapointed and will never return. read more

Took my truck in about a month and a half ago to get my front brakes done. I picked it up later that day. Seemed fine. I noticed on the invoice they wrote "needs alignment". I thought "what are they talking about? It's fine. Few days later I hopped on 89...as sons as I get to 60 mph, the truck starts shaking. Take it to get it diagnosed...the alignment is all messed up. Before going to this Midas, the alignment was PERFECT! Now, not so much!! read more

Took my classic car in for a new muffler and when I got the call to come pick it up the engine was blown and had grease marks in my back seat #1 why were you in my backseat to change a muffler and apparently they red lined my tachometer!!!! Got there & they "conveniently" didn't have it, BUT, they DID have the pricier ones in stock. WTH? That along with a "checkup" of the vehicle. Service was seriously the WORST I have ever had with a shop! First took them 15 minutes to acknowledge that I was in the front wanting service! Than to get an inspection of my brakes took almost 2 hours.. They came back with both front and back brakes need to be replaced and rotors!! Lies!! I had them change back brakes.. Couldn't be any better. Lots of noise from the rear of my Honda CR-V. They quickly repaired a broken exhaust hanger while I waited 20 mins. Still had noise from the suspension. Honda replaced the rear swaybar and bushings which was causing the suspension noise. But now I had even more noise coming from the exhaust. Return to Midas thinking now I need a new muffler. They take me under the car and show me that Honda installed the swaybar incorrectly, so it is hitting the muffler and making all that noise. I just had Honda fix their repair. Both times these guys were fantastic, patiently going over my vehicle to solve two instances of noise. Dennis is a great guy and his staff are fantastic too. I used to be a dealer only guy, but I'll be coming here for all exhaust, alignment, brake needs etc. read more

I needed a joint welded after replacing an exhaust section ("Y" tube and flex section) myself. The two pipes where I cut them for a joint were in great shape and I ground them to butt up against each other nicely. I called Midas ahead was quoted $20. Dropped the car off and was told I would be called with a price quote. I thought that was kinda weird since I needed a simple weld. They called me in a while saying they couldn't weld it, couldn't weld my stuff because it needed to be replaced. I declined, that B.S. said I would come and pick it up. When I returned to pick up the car I quizzed Daniel the front end guy and the shop guy. When I tried to pin them down, neither of them could say what exactly it was about my exhaust that was defective and not repairable. Seems like the real issue was there was no big money in it for them. I really quizzed them because I was planning on this post if they had nothing. I then took my car to Master Muffler & Brake in Layton, Utah. After a few minute wait a guy pulled my car into a bay with a pit under it. We had a short conversation, he went under my car welded it up perfectly in a couple minute and then told me to get in and go without any charge. Now that's lemonade! read more

I had to go back after a muffler failed after 2 years. They looked at my paper work ordered the muffler and made an appointment for the installation. The part was there when I went in to have it installed. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I paid the labor charges and was on my way. I would go back. Great job! read more
