My dealership notified me that I might be due for a brake pad replacement. I went to Midas expecting them to tell me I needed new pads. However, they offered a free inspection and told me that my front pads were almost new and my rear pads still had another 8K-10k of use before needing replacement. No charge at all. They gave me a ride back and forth from my home to the shop so that I could drop my car off for the service. Requested a diagnostic appt online for a possible muffler issue on a Sunday evening. By early Monday I had an appt for noon that only took a few minutes but I couldn't leave the car as they needed to order a part. Rob suggested I bring it back first thing Wednesday morning (my preference) for the install. I got there at 8, was on the road again at 8:45. Everyone was polite and explained what was needed. Cost was reasonable and there was an online coupon available. Waiting area is clean and comfortable. There is complimentary coffee and water if you like. I've been going to this Midas for years and overall a good experience. The guys there are honest and will take good care of you. The reason for my low rating is that I took my car in for an oil change and I was informed that I needed another repair. Over the phone I was quoted $200 and initially declined the service. In the afternoon, I decided to get the service and when I came to pick up my car they charged me $300. They explained that they had to balance the tires which is an additional $100 dollars. This was never explained over the phone which the manager there denied. It's the first time I've seen him there so maybe he's new? Regardless it was an unethical business practice. All he did was give me $20 off after I had to pay an additional $100. This may be my last visit to this location. read more

Mike didn't pressure me into getting a new tire, but gave me information I need to make a decision. He also recommended new spark plugs but didn't hard sell them. Jim at Midas is great. I brought my car in for a repair. They quickly diagnosed the issue and although I didn't have the money for the repair at that time they just charged a minimal fee for the inspection which would be applied to a credit towards the repair. They gave me two quotes, one to fix the essential and one to replace everything related to the issue my car was having. A couple weeks later I schedule the repair. So after the car was fully repaired I was a little surprised because of the higher price - I had originally explained when I received the original quote that I could only afford the essentials. Jim worked with my to find a solution that fit within my budget. Jim didn't have to do this, but he recognized the miscommunication and took responsibility. I needed to get my brakes done, and chose Midas because it's super close and the guys are friendly. I went in, and asked for an estimate, and they said it would take 3 hours before they could see me, so I asked if I could schedule an appointment, which was made for the next day. When I finally made it, they were very thorough and helpful. The estimate was $25, but it's waived if you get your car fixed that day. The waiting room was clean, lots of reading material, and the whole staff was so nice. read more

We've been taking our cars to this Midas location for years & have never had a bad experience. We always get good explanations regarding repairs, and prices are definitely better than going to the dealer. We often utilize the after-hours night drop off option, which is really convenient. Several times - including as recently as today - when we have asked for brakes to be inspected, they've told us that the pads were fine & didn't need replacing yet. An unscrupulous service location could have easily said they did & charged us for unnecessary work. This level of honesty and good repair work are what keep us coming back. Jim and the other employees of this shop are awesome. They take you in when things fall off tow trucks and I run them over and make sure that the car is okay without charge. I was in the other day for repair and he took the time to see if the car was still under warranty and I was able to get the repair for free. These days, I think it is hard to come by honest mechanics! He also got the car so I could travel to the dealer with worry about anything coming off for no charge. Having worked as an engineer at Ford Engine, I understand the mechanical workings of most cars and these gentlemen have always provided exceptional service at a much more affordable price than going to the dealer. Besides, as I travel around the country in my car, their warranty is covered at all Midas shops. I have never required any warranty work, but it provides "peace of mind." They also keep impeccable records, so I can anticipate maintenance costs, such as tire replacement. By the way, they just rotated my tires which have 80,000 miles on them.
