My dealership notified me that I might be due for a brake pad replacement. I went to Midas expecting them to tell me I needed new pads. However, they offered a free inspection and told me that my front pads were almost new and my rear pads still had another 8K-10k of use before needing replacement. No charge at all. I was very impressed by their honesty and will definitely return when I need the rear pads replaced. I definitely recommend this Midas for your auto servicing needs. read more

Great service. My appointment was for an oil change and an alignment check, which could have taken some time if work was needed. They gave me a ride back and forth from my home to the shop so that I could drop my car off for the service. Suggested other items of work that will be needed, but did not hard sell or push me to do the work that day. Very honest and professional staff. read more

Requested a diagnostic appt online for a possible muffler issue on a Sunday evening. By early Monday I had an appt for noon that only took a few minutes but I couldn't leave the car as they needed to order a part. Rob suggested I bring it back first thing Wednesday morning (my preference) for the install. I got there at 8, was on the road again at 8:45. Everyone was polite and explained what was needed. Cost was reasonable and there was an online coupon available. Waiting area is clean and comfortable. There is complimentary coffee and water if you like. Glad I don't need service often but these gentlemen made it a pleasant experience. Highly recommended! read more

The polite professional service was very appreciated. The oil change was fairly priced and was completed in a timely manner. Thank you.

Every time I go in here, they tell me there's a major issue. It's different each time I don't trust these guys. Overpriced also.

I have lived in the Naperville area for about 25 years, and have taken our vehicles to 5 or 6 different places for service over that time before discovering this Midas location several years ago. Rob and the rest of the team at this shop are top notch - honest, helpful, courteous, willing to go over and above to get the job done right. They are the best I've found in this area, and I won't be going anywhere else going forward. read more

I got in quickly and repair done just as fast. Staff were taking all precautions necessary which made me feel comfortable doing business with them. Real professionals This should be your go to car repair shop read more

I've taken my car for brakes twice and both times has been a great experience. They explain everything in detail before getting approval for the work and recognized that I was a returning customer. Discounts were applied without having to ask and they did not try to sell me on any additional services. The guys working here just seem honest. Happy I found this location through Yelp. Would recommend this place for auto service. read more

Midas always does a Great Job!! Mike the service advisor is honest and never tries to up sell! He is knowledgeable and answers any questions that may come up! We have been going to Plainfield Midas for 10 years. They are trustworthy and fast. Always tell us like it is. Thanks to all there for years of great service! ! read more

I had this Midas install an aftermarket cat-back exhaust system for my Mustang. Very professional, price seemed reasonable. When I went to pick up my car, the stock exhaust (all one large piece) did not fit well in my SUV. One of their guys threw it in the back of his personal pickup truck and followed us the 2 miles home for us. Now that's customer service! read more

Great service. Knowledgeable. They gave me info and didn't try to up sell me on anything. I will for sure do business with them again. I went for an oil change. It was completed in a timely manner. read more

This team (Mike, Jim and Jim) has been servicing all my vehicles for over 15 years. They always explain and when needed show everything that has happened or is going on with the vehicles. Trustworthy and with good/fair prices and discounts/coupons. Highly recommend. read more

I have been going to this Midas for years. There is low turnover, they have a rapport with you and most important- they know cars and trucks. They tell you how it is and take great care of you. Most importantly I feel they don't up sell you or try to get you purchase more then what is needed. Ask for Jim read more

Incredibly nice people all around! I really appreciated the explanation of the work that needed to be done on my brakes. Honest and direct, and the warranty is great. read more

Friendly, quick, competent Auto service is such a headache and you never know if your getting taken. Needed to get my brakes done badly, and did a mid week walk-in here. Had it right up on the lift, with a diagnosis with price and service options in under an hour. Diagnosis is $24.95 if you do nothing, waived if you get work done, They take you out and walk you through the diagnosis. They had me in and out in under 2 hours. No bullying, arrogance or upselling...refreshing...they are a full service garage, not just brakes. Very user friendly, fair pricing (half what VW wanted for the exact same work)...simple, easy, efficient....will definitely go back read more

I've been going to this Midas for years and overall a good experience. The guys there are honest and will take good care of you. The reason for my low rating is that I took my car in for an oil change and I was informed that I needed another repair. Over the phone I was quoted $200 and initially declined the service. In the afternoon, I decided to get the service and when I came to pick up my car they charged me $300. They explained that they had to balance the tires which is an additional $100 dollars. This was never explained over the phone which the manager there denied. It's the first time I've seen him there so maybe he's new? Regardless it was an unethical business practice. All he did was give me $20 off after I had to pay an additional $100. This may be my last visit to this location. read more

First time visit after a long term center disappointed me. My experience here was first rate. My service was a coupon special of full synthetic oil change w/filter, tire rotation, and visual car check overall. They were quick, efficient, thorough, and reasonable in pricing. I had qualms since my friend, Brittany, was burned there last year. I took a chance because my oil change was due and I got irritated when the warning signal came on each time I started the 2010 Prius. Midas were the ones who called me back to fit me in quickly the next day. I'm glad I trusted them. read more

It is refreshing to deal with a shop I can trust. Knowing that Jim and his techs will take care of my problems and not try to oversell me, is priceless. read more

The team at this location is great. I have had my oil changed, tires rotated and wipers replaced several times at this location, each time greeted by a friendly accommodating staff. I drop my cars off and pick them up when they call. Smooth and hassle free. Highly recommend! Jim, Danny and Kerry are all a pleasure to work with. All three of these guys are top notch and truly understand customer service. read more

Quick and friendly service. Scheduled an oil change and needed my tires replaced. The staff were courteous and helpful. Prices were competitive with other businesses, overall a pleasant experience. read more

Tried Midas for the first time ever for a synthetic oil change and tire rotation because we found a great coupon deal online. I couldn't be happier with how easy it was to drop off and get stellar treatment all with contact-less service. I also appreciate how helpful Jim was and the detailed print out of service/multi-point inspection. I will definitely look to use Midas for future car needs. read more

Stopped in to get my oil change and tire rotation. Was a great experience. Mike was very helpful. They didn't do the tie rotation because I need a new tire. Mike didn't pressure me into getting a new tire, but gave me information I need to make a decision. He also recommended new spark plugs but didn't hard sell them. I appreciate the way he gave me the information and let me make a decision . I will definitely be back. read more

I've been coming here for 12 years now. Jim and Mike has always been very professional and honest. The price is great and very convenient to where I live. I called in and asked if there were any openings for an oil change Mr.Mike Ward (I'm assuming store manager) said no there are no openings but bring your truck in anyway I will work you in. Only 2 or so hours later I was getting a call that my truck was ready. Absolutely fantastic customer service! Mr. Boeset the owner of the store actually came out front and introduced himself to me as if I'm someone special. I have now found the place where I will get my work done on both of my vehicles. Thank you as well to the guys out in the shop making it happen. Truly a great place. read more

I needed to get my brakes done, and chose Midas because it's super close and the guys are friendly. I went in, and asked for an estimate, and they said it would take 3 hours before they could see me, so I asked if I could schedule an appointment, which was made for the next day. When I finally made it, they were very thorough and helpful. The estimate was $25, but it's waived if you get your car fixed that day. The waiting room was clean, lots of reading material, and the whole staff was so nice. read more

After being told by another quick service business that they can't replace my lightbulb, I called Midas and spoke with Mike, who said of course they can help me! Made the appointment for the next day and I couldn't be happier with the service. The waiting room is clean and bright and the staff is pleasant, knowledgeable and professional! This is my go to place from now on for oil changes, brakes, tires and just about anything else related to cars! read more

Mike was welcoming and attentive as soon as you walk in. While I waited for my car to be services on a busy Friday he took care of customers with the same care and respect he showed me. It was my first time coming to this location and I will be back! read more

Jim at Midas is great. I brought my car in for a repair. They quickly diagnosed the issue and although I didn't have the money for the repair at that time they just charged a minimal fee for the inspection which would be applied to a credit towards the repair. They gave me two quotes, one to fix the essential and one to replace everything related to the issue my car was having. A couple weeks later I schedule the repair. So after the car was fully repaired I was a little surprised because of the higher price - I had originally explained when I received the original quote that I could only afford the essentials. Jim worked with my to find a solution that fit within my budget. Jim didn't have to do this, but he recognized the miscommunication and took responsibility. This will keep me coming back to this Midas. read more

Recommended for four-wheel alignment; did the work, for exactly the price advertised, without trying to sell us anything more. Was very pleased, and would definitely return and recommend them without reservation. read more

It's been a while since I felt confident that a shop knows what they are doing and not just ripping you off. Keep up the good work and Thank you! I'll be back for sure. read more

My parents have been using this place for years, and they are always honest about what needs to be fixed. I used to take my car to a mechanic closer to my house, and when I'd go to Midas for a second opinion, their quote was always a few hundred dollars less than my other guy. I appreciate how they tell me what is urgent and what doesn't need to be fixed right away. The Jims are great guys! read more

We've been taking our cars to this Midas location for years & have never had a bad experience. We always get good explanations regarding repairs, and prices are definitely better than going to the dealer. We often utilize the after-hours night drop off option, which is really convenient. Several times - including as recently as today - when we have asked for brakes to be inspected, they've told us that the pads were fine & didn't need replacing yet. An unscrupulous service location could have easily said they did & charged us for unnecessary work. This level of honesty and good repair work are what keep us coming back. Thanks, Mike & Jim! read more

Jason and Glen are great mechanics. We stopped in because of a strange noise that we heard in my car. They squeezed us in, checked it out and repaired it while we waited. They are honest, have competitive prices and we highly recommend Arrowhead for your go to service repair shop. read more

This is not a car repair place, because they are not mechanics, its a charge for estimates, then if the estimate doesnt fix it, you still have to pay these straight up scam artists. The mechanics from National Lampoons Vacation had more honor then this shop posing as a car repair place. Speed away from this shop quickly. read more

I've been going to this Midas location for years & then switched to another local mechanic ONLY b/c my Dad had credit established at that particular shop; which I hated going to. However I finally made it back to Midas twice the past couple of months & I'm never going anywhere else again. They're super friendly & they don't talk down to you (I'm a woman & this is so important to me), they immediately remembered me & were so helpful. They never bullshit me, are always professional & get the job done right!!! I HIGHLY recommend this Midas location to anyone & everyone if you want to get the job done right! read more

Couldn't get my rear hatch open on my Volvo and they showed me a trick to get it open that was easy and didn't cost me anything!

Jim and the other employees of this shop are awesome. They take you in when things fall off tow trucks and I run them over and make sure that the car is okay without charge. I was in the other day for repair and he took the time to see if the car was still under warranty and I was able to get the repair for free. These days, I think it is hard to come by honest mechanics! He also got the car so I could travel to the dealer with worry about anything coming off for no charge. I will always do business with this shop! read more

We don't take our cars anywhere but Midas on Ace. Jim and his staff are fantastic! With 5 cars in the family - we are always bringing them in for issues or just a simple oil change. With two of our kids off at school - when they come home with car trouble we don't have alot of time - Jim gets them in quickly and gets the job done! My daughter just brought her car home with a frozen lock - they kept it over night to make sure it dried out and she was back to school. They really care for the customers - they are like family!! Thanks Jim!! read more
