I arrived at approximately 11:22 AM and dropped my vehicle off. Because I did not have anyone available to pick me up, I planned to wait nearby and went to the Dunkin' next door. At approximately 12:30 PM, I noticed that my vehicle had been taken into the service area and had apparently been there for approximately an hour. I assumed that the oil change was either being completed or that the vehicle was at least being worked on. At approximately 1:27 PM, I went back to the service counter because I was under the impression that my vehicle was finished. I was told that it was not finished. At this point, I also observed employees in the garage eating pizza while my vehicle was still sitting in the service area. I waited approximately another 30 minutes before getting back in line at the service counter to ask when my vehicle would actually be completed. The employee went into the back to check on it and returned to tell me that my oil change had not even been started. At that point, I requested my keys and left. I had been there for approximately three hours for an appointment that was scheduled specifically for an oil change, only to find out that the service had not even begun. I am extremely disappointed by how this was handled. I understand that automotive services can sometimes take longer than expected. That is not my issue. My issue is that my vehicle was apparently taken into the service area, left there for an extended period of time, and I was given no indication that the work had not even been started. Had I been told upfront that there was going to be a significant delay, I could have made an informed decision about whether to wait or make other arrangements. Additionally, when I retrieved my vehicle, the protective plastic and paper that had been placed inside the vehicle had been left behind. I had to remove it myself before leaving. I have used this Firestone location previously, which is why I returned. After today's experience, however, I am seriously questioning whether I can trust this location with my vehicle or my time in the future. I would like this complaint escalated to the appropriate management/corporate team and would appreciate an explanation of what happened today, why my vehicle was left in the service area for approximately an hour without the oil change being started, and why I was not informed of the delay. I am not asking for special treatment. I am asking for basic communication, accountability, and respect for my time as a customer. I look forward to hearing from someone who can properly address this situation.

Doc Motor Works Auto Repair truly saved us on Black Wednesday -- the Wednesday before Thanksgiving…read more-- and I can't say enough good things about them. We were on our way out of town when one of our tires suddenly lost pressure. It was around 5:30pm, most places were closing at 6, and panic quickly set in. We first pulled into a nearby Tuffy to try filling the tire, but as the air went in, we could hear it coming right back out. Frantically looking around, I noticed Doc Motor Works next door and ran in about 10 minutes before closing. They must have seen the desperation on my face because Scott, the owner, was incredibly kind right away. The two gentlemen working with him were just as wonderful. They immediately took our car back and discovered not one, but two nails in the tire -- thankfully both were in spots that could be patched. While they worked quickly and efficiently, we waited inside where they have the coolest kids' area. My son literally said, "This is the best day ever!" The entire experience felt like one of those moments that restores your faith in people. Scott and his team were fast, professional, compassionate, and genuinely caring. Walking into this place completely changed what could have been a very stressful situation. If you're looking for honest, kind, and reliable auto repair -- this is the place. Amazing service all around.

I had a terrible experience at this shop and want to warn other car owners…read more I came in for a simple oil change on my car, which was supposed to cost $50 with a coupon. Before starting, the shop tried to upsell me over $1,000 in "recommended" repairs, including belts, battery, and spark plugs, which I declined. Then, after they drained my oil, they told me the oil filter cap was broken and said they couldn't finish the job unless I paid for a replacement. They claimed it had been "previously overtightened by another shop," but provided no proof that the damage wasn't done by them during the oil change. The oil filter cap is right next to the drain plug, so if it was really broken beforehand, they should have noticed that before draining the oil. At that point, my car had no oil and couldn't be driven, so I was basically forced to pay over $200 just to get my car back from a regular oil change. This felt like a pressure tactic and extremely unprofessional. If there was truly an issue with the part, they should have shown me before touching anything. Instead, I was put in a situation with no choice but to pay more than four times the agreed price. I will never return here and strongly recommend that others avoid this place if you want honest, transparent service.
