The positives of this experience were the ease of getting an appointment. I requested one online and someone from a Alabama area code called me back to confirm the appointment, the price was good for an oil change and tire rotation, especially since I only recently acquired the car and do not have a free rotation plan in my tires and thr last positive was the manager was personable with customers Things that could have been better include the following: I had to wait on an air filter to be delivered to the store that made my wait much longer. Had I been informed they did not have one in stock, I would have passed on replacing it. I am attaching pictures that show my mileage and the sticker showing when I need my next oil change it's only 2,000 miles 3,000 is common. I was also told I needed 2 front tires but the technician marked my tires were fine and they are. I do not recommend a female going here alone unless you something about car maintenance already. Worst experience of my life. Went in for a battery replacement, only to be told the cheapest battery they had was $400+ labor. Decided to leave my car for a diagnostic and then found a better shop, so I called less than 15 minutes later to find out if the diagnostic had been done yet, to which they said no, then changed their story once they realized I was taking my car somewhere else. I paid the ridiculous diagnostic fee (which, by the way, is free at several other nearby businesses), then they refused to release my car to me -- insisting that it "wouldn't take a boost" or go into neutral and therefore couldn't be moved from their garage, so I'd need to either "get it fixed or get it towed." They also tried to sell me an alternator I didn't need, once they realized they weren't going to get a battery sale from me. It took me three seconds to find a YouTube video showing me how to release the lock on the gearshift and put my car into neutral, which surely the mechanic knew how to do, but chose not to in an attempt to get more money from me. My fiancé and I rolled my car out of their garage, and wouldn't you know it, we jumped it with no issues after the Midas employees insisted that wouldn't be possible. After spending half my day dealing with these liars, I found another shop that did the job for a fraction of what Midas was demanding, and did it honestly. No surprise, there was nothing wrong with my alternator, either. If I could give Midas zero stars, I would. Most crooked, dishonest business out there. I would absolutely never recommend them to anyone -- and will NEVER return. read more

Stay Away!!!This place is a rip-off!! They Will try to get over on you. Chris and the other employees tried to overcharge me $1,200 for an oil leak. Then they told me it would cost $600 once I prepared to leave. They fixed the oil leak, and I got inside and plugged my phone charger up. The service guy asked me if it wouldn't start, which was strange. As I was pulling off, my check engine light came on once I started my car. It had NEVER come on before. I told the guy that fixed my car, and he turned the engine light off. He didn't check it or anything. My engine came on again as soon as I got home. On my way to work the next morning, my car wouldn't wasn't operating normally. I went back to Midas twice, and the manager blew me off and said they were backed up. They finally checked my car and told me it was the exhaust. It would cost me $600 plus to fix it. I went to KIA to get a diagnostic test. The employee told me there were a few censors unplugged, and a few things plugged into the wrong places. Nothing was wrong with my car, and it's driving normally again. New tires with warranty. They've already fixed one of my tires before when my husband hit a pothole so big it shredded my tire and wheel lol but Were finally upgrading the other 3. Ladies, this shop is female friendly! I feel that is so underrated. I've been neglected as a customer by other local shops in the past, not knowing that I am no stranger to automotive or aircraft mx field. I was given a 2 PM appointment time for an oil change. THEY CHOSE THE TIME. I arrived as instructed and waited. And waited. Finally, at 4, the manager informed me that they didn't have a filter for my 2016 Chevy. More waiting. There was a gentleman there getting brakes who had been there for six hours. He was still there when I left. It took THREE HOURS for a simple oil change with none of the extras this package was supposed to include. My tires were not rotated. I was most unhappy but I had no more time to wait so I left. The manager was friendly and nice but the rest of my experience was absolute trash and I will never go back there. read more

Allegedly around the head valves too. My father was an engineer on AMTAK for 35 years and maintained locomotives and rolling stock. He inspected the gasket - no leaking He inspected the engine top and bottom no leaking or stained. No leak patches on driveway or anywhere I park. 2. claimed all four brakes needed replacing. Went to Gateway Tires and they stated that I needed new pads on the front ONLY and they would resurface the rotors. They confirmed no evidence of fresh or old oil leaks on engine. TOTAL COST: $171! vast variance from Midas's $1300 repair. At Midas everything turns to gold - for them!!! read more

They got me checked in fast and in a professional manner. My car was serviced quickly and everything was done professionally and accurate. Don't usually give negative reviews; however, my experience here was nothing close to ideal. I had a groupon for a regular oil change. It took about 2 hours of waiting when I was told it would only be 30-45 minutes. Then, one of the technicians tried to sell me a brake job as he told me that my brakes were gone and I needed a new air filter. He later discovers that he was actually talking to me about a car that wasn't mine!! I spoke with others that even had appointments for oil changes and they had been there for hours as well. Negative experience. First, I am not one to speak poorly of businesses. I am understanding and would not like to hurt one's profits. In this case, my life was sort of at stake. In the very least, I could have had a bad car wreck. I had a coupon for a discounted oil change which included free tire balancing. (I had never used Midas before.) First, they charged me well over $15 more than the coupon advertised. (I'd not have posted on Yelp for this.) The big deal is, I almost had a wreck. Took the cap off. Only one lug nut left!! They all snapped off or something. Don't let them touch your tires. They will fix it for me for free, but I am scared. I will be driving (carefully) to my regular mechanic (please forgive me for straying) to double check my safety. Sheesh. 6/10/16: They fixed it. One mechanic was very apologetic and seemed astonished this happened. The other mechanic thrice tried to deny blame. (I was cordial the entire time.) The nice one said he checked each tire. This place will rip you off. They quoted me twice as much for a service. When I tried to leave they brought the price down to what it should have been from the start. Also they will try to replace or fix something that doesn't need to be fixed. If you are not knowledgeable of vehicles and the costs of repairs of certain things you will be paying much more than needed. I suggest you go somewhere else because they are not a reliable trustworthy company. Update! I guess it depends on who you are or what you look like. At 4 I called to check on my car and Brittney told me they still haven't gotten around to it but they were just about to call me bc I might need struts. So she called to tell me about parts that supposedly no one had even looked at yet but they never even got to my car for what I initially brought it in for. I went and got my car. The service here is ridiculously slow. I've had 2 oil changes here and both have taken 2-1/2 hours - with an appointment! - even after telling me it would be 40 min max. I also got brakes done with another 40 min promise. They were done in 90 min then it took another HOUR for me to pay. The first time I was here, it was the manager's last day b/c she was becoming district manager. She was a total Chatty Cathy which is a big reason for much of the delay I experienced. The facility had a water dispenser and Kurig coffee available. The next time I came in, 3 weeks later, the water dispenser was gone, no coffee and NO TP in the bathroom. Went in for tires and they pulled the usual you must have an alignment bull crap places like this pull. Never had any unusual wear on the tires but the guy wouldn't shut up and kept on about a more expensive lifetime alignment. I got so sick of listening to him I just said ok do it so he would shut up. Well, a little bit in and my tires are all screwed up. Now I have to find the time to take it somewhere they can correct the "alignment" that was done by a place that obviously has zero idea of to do an alignment or even the ability to check if it even needs to be done. Hard Pass on this place. It's really my fault though I guess as a friend wanted me to go here because he was friends with someone who worked here. I should have just gone to my normal place. Last fall I dropped off my vehicle for a simple oil change had my wife pick me up to run some errands. We got done sooner than expected so I went back and waited in the lobby area. About 30 minutes later I see my vehicle being driven off the lot by one of the technicians. I inform the manager there and he calls the guy a few times and when he finally answers he finds out that he had to run an errand!!!! They offer me a free oil change and promise that my next oil change would be free AND they would also provide a free alignment for me not calling the police. This promise is written up on my paperwork and I agree. I just went back today and of course, it isn't honored. I show the person at the desk the paperwork and he treats me as if I'm lying. She explained everything about the additional I would be paying with the Groupon which I was fond with. The wait was not excessive and I was quickly checked out and on my way. I made an appointment for 7:30am and still had to wait til 8:00am for them to even get the part. Why make early appointments if you can't even get parts until 8:00am? Then the oil change price is always different when I go in there. It's crazy how some charge a different rate than others. I had a coupon and it still was much higher than last time I was there. Last time they forgot to reset the light and put sticker in windshield so I told her to make sure he did it this time. So he brings car around and says he reset it through the button on steering wheel, that's not how and where you reset it. I booked an appointment at 8 AM. I thought I could wait for the service. It took 1.5 hours to get an oil change. And they charge 11 bucks a quart for my SUV that requires 8 quarts. Another customer comes in after me and I overhear the conversation of the customer asking had she lost her place. The manager Brittany told yes but not really. I patiently wait to see which vehicle will be pulled in first and sure enough it wasn't mine. I asked for my keys and asked why was I skipped. Brittany replies with her car had to cool off. If you have a schedule to keep, don't go here. Making an appointment is a joke. First off, they don't answer their phones. After calling a few times on 3 separate days after getting my Groupon, I finally had to drive up there since I couldn't get ahold of anyone. I had an appointment for 11:30 & didn't get serviced until 2:45 - for just an oil change. I watched a couple guys just shoot the breeze while I sat there waiting for my car to go in the garage. I also watched everything get done & it didn't seem like the mechanic actually went through their checklist - they also don't complete their "Midas Check" sheet. A lot of the areas were blank. My car was in & out in less than 10 minutes & the mechanic was not quick on his feet. My tires read all different numbers, but they didn't put any air in my tires to even them out. So I came and got an oil change from Midas on pleasant view rd in Memphis Tn. After that everything went down hill. I have my car serviced regularly and because I work and couldn't get an appointment in with my regular service place that change my oil I trusted Midas to perform an oil change for me. My car start having a smell to it but me not knowing anything about cars i surely didn't think it was anything dealing with my oil since of course i just had an oil change. As time progressed one night my car shut off. I was able to get it back running after boosting it and that's when i start hearing knocking noise. I contacted my technician to come take a look being that i didn't want to drive it and at this point i have no clue as to whats going on. His findings were there's oil sitting right here on top of your engine by the oil filter. I'm like wow i need to contact Midas they performed an oil change recently. After contacting I spoke with a guy name Brian he assured me that the people that were there are no longer working there and he's new there trying to change the place around. That was alarming! My words to him were wow really so they are not there anymore that's interesting. He did say that if its something they did they will take FULL RESPONSIBILITY!! Eventually i got my car there by him towing it and he did tell me that if its nothing they did i will have to pay the 75 tow fee. I agreed with lots of confidence that, that was ok i know i haven't did anything and it happens after i get an oil change something dealing with oil is wrong. Get the car there and it took every bit of 10 min to get a call saying they didn't do it. smh! It was my engine oil cooler and they were sure of that because they saw oil in the coolant supposedly. I am a single parent of 3 work check to check to provide and dont know much about a car so what the hell am i to do now. Well moving forward he quoted me the price on that getting fixed over $900 dollars SOMETHING I CANT AFFORD!! He even asked me to finance it. I did a little research and I'm just still stuck at why would all this happen after a oil change. Sure enough I've been missing work, late and on the edge of losing my job, had to change my normal shift just to keep from being late which caused me to have less hours which means less money and of course I cant prove anything differently from what they are saying. I ended up searching around for the part through dodge was able to get the part lower than what he quoted and got that replaced and a lower labor rate. I spent $376 for all parts dealing with the engine cooler which included the gaskets, I went and payed $75 dollars to get my car back from Midas for the tow fee. $42 for more oil and coolant to go back in the car and $125 labor fee. Guess what its wasn't even the problem my car is doing the SAME DAMN THING!! The reason for my car problem as they diagnosed ended up NOT being the reason and now I'm back without a car or money. So therefore my 900 with them would have went right down the drain and then they would of wanted me to pay more for something else smh. Brian even told me the good news its not your engine we were able to save your engine the engine is fine not making noises or anything we are 100% sure its the oil engine cooler. All of this is totally UNACCEPTABLE!!! Im meeting with my lawyer tomorrow to move forward with legal action. read more
