3 years ago we moved from Maryland to Houston and were looking for a reliable car service center. We are soo happy to have found Midas. Eric and the other mechanics at Midas worked very hard and were successful in reviving our old Toyota Sienna back to life. Robert was very courteous at the front desk and helped us through the whole process. Midas is very reliable, service is excellent and the staff is very friendly. We strongly recommend Midas to all those who are looking for a reliable and friendly car service center. Manoj read more

I came the day before and they had a few cars ahead of me so I made an appointment for the next day. I had an oil change as soon as I showed up. It took about 20 minutes. The owner was very nice. Make sure you make an appointment and you will be fine. I will be back. read more

Went in to get an oil change yesterday and I must say they are great. The process was very fast and I even got a chance to look at something going on with my vehicle. Looks like dodge has some explaining to do. Seriously they are great and offered other services which I can look forward to in the future! Thanks so much read more

Midas - Auto Repair Near Me - Houston, Texas

So I came here a while back for an oil change and they said my head light was out. I paid and went on my merry way only to find later that night that the light was still not working. The guy told me to bring my car back and they would probably have to keep it. I never got around to doing so and instead, took my car elsewhere. Cut to today I come in for an oil change and I tell the lady at the front desk my story and she easily and happily refunded my money for the light. Keep in mind she has no way to validate my story. It made me feel good and valued and most of happy at this time of year when Christmas and my kid's are breathing down my neck for gifts...this was one less stressor for me and I'm so grateful. read more

Highly recommend this location. The owner and receptionist were very friendly and professional. A thorough check of my vehicle was completed. They recommended the priority of repairs needed and fix my car in a timely manner. I also notice a lot of very satisfied returning customers, that had nothing but good things to say about the services provided. I will definitely return for more repairs. read more

Amazing guys , very helpful!!! So if you're looking for a good and fair service stop by!

This is my go-to spot for all my truck needs. I've brought my 2004 Chevy Avalanche here for years. It has quite a few miles on it, and I like to keep up the maintenance. I've received oil changes, new tires, horn repair, tune ups, fluid changes, to name a few. The key thing to remember is this: they will not try to sell you something you do not need. It's always nerve-wracking to pull into a new shop if your knowledge of car repair is little to none. You are in good hands here! Walk-ins are welcome, but they do get fairly busy. I recommend making an appointment if you can. If you have to wait, the sitting area is super clean, including coffee, a restroom, and free Wi-Fi. Please give them a try. You'll be greeted with a smile and treated with the utmost respect. And your vehicle will thank you! read more

Came here after I had a problem with an oil change that was done at another place (oil leaking out of my car). Eric was great! Helped identify the issue (whoever changed my oil didn't cap it back on correctly which caused the cap to come off and oil to flow out). Showed me what happened and explained everything thoroughly. He helped fix the issue and had me in and out within the hour. Great service! Recommend to anyone in the area. read more

I've been coming here the past year to get my oil changed, since I get their coupons in the mail for $19.99 for oil change, filter, rotate tires, check fluids. Not too shabby! They seem to be pretty helpful and reliable. They have let me know about two times that I had nails in my tires. I haven't gotten any other service done here, so I couldn't say how they are on identifying and fixing other car problems. They have a tv in the corner so you're not bored out of your mind waiting for the service. And plus free wi-fi for your smartphones to keep you entertained. However, they don't seem to be that thorough or pay too much attention to detail - as one time they didn't close the cap on my windshield fluid, another time I noticed one of the caps on my tire air thing was missing, and after they checked my cabin air filter, they didn't properly turn the knob back in place and the glove compartment came open while I was driving. Minor inconveniences, but still !!! Get your sh*t together. read more

I recently had issues with the type of service I was receiving at Firestone and decided to find another car service provider. I had been using Firestone and dealerships for my car maintenance for the last 25 years. I did my due diligence and research. Midas Total Auto Service & Tire located at 2500 S. Dairy Ashford, Houston, TX 77077 was the one I decided to take one of my cars to have a brake inspection and transmission fluid flush. The attitude and professionalism of *** at the front desk was excellent. And *** the owner/lead mechanic was very professional. I was satisfied with the service and will be taking my car(s) to this location from now on. Erick L. read more

My husband and I took our cars in separately and they told us both cars had oil leaks. We repaired one car with them and took the other to a few other mechanics and no one has mentioned an oil leak. Feel like we were probably lied to and got unnecessary repairs done. Nice staff though. read more

Eric and his team are honest, fair and good at what they do. It's always a bit nerve wracking to take your car to a mechanic if you're not mechanically inclined. If thoughts of "will they rip me off", or "I have no idea about cars" have previously flooded your mind when car issues arise, then I'd highly recommend Eric and his team, straight shooters. read more

Came in for an oil change. Didn't make an appointment, but they were about to do it later that day. They were really nice and helpful. They also fix my cooling tube. I do not know what's it's call. It was crack and they said if I didn't get it fix, my car will keep over heated. My car has been over heating lately but I didn't tell them. So I was happy that they were able to see it before they put in cooling. I was planning to fix my cooling other time but since they were able to do it right there I was happy. Over all very satisfied. They seem to know their customer very well calling them by names. read more

Eric and his team are top notch. I went in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. I was presented with a couple of other issues during the 19 point inspection with courtesy and respect. One word, AWESOME!!!!!Eric and his wife are the owners, I've been coming to this shop for all of my car needs since 2010 and I am always treated and greeted with respect and a smile. This is a very prestigious Midas, I would refer anyone to come here for their vehicle service repairs or maintenance. I have been coming to this Mida for about 7 years and can say there is never any pressure. They inspect my vehicle every so often and guide me to the things that have priority and the things that can wait. They are very professional and treat the customer as their priority. I purchased a home in Spring, Texas and still will travel the 52 miles to them. I have tried the Mida's in my area but just not the same feeling of trust. This Midas has always been honest and dependable. My vehicle now has 131k miles and still runs like new! Thanks Eric. read more

My breaks went out, and this Midas took really good care of me! The manager kept me updated, and gave me a really good price. I would recommend the service here, not customer service and labor. I never post reviews but really wanted to for this Midas because Eric at the front desk is awesome!! Oh and my car is running smoothly thanks to the staff. Eric is so personable and really someone you know you can trust. I know nothing about cars (and I look the part), but I didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of. Also, yes I have to agree with the comments about how this place has a super clean and nicely kept bathroom and keurig coffee machine. I had to pump my breastmilk and I was so comfortable doing it there haha. I guess it's a great place for new mothers. On top of that, Eric and I had a nice chat about our kids and it reminded me of how grateful I am everyday. I think he should charge extra for motivational speaking read more

This place is outstanding. They go above and beyond at this replace. It is the best auto repair experience I have ever had. Everyone was so friendly and courteous which made me feel very comfortable. The waiting room was very nice and clean and the bathroom was much nicer than you would expect. Most of all, Eric was genuine and honest. I didn't feel like he was trying to sell me anything except what was absolutely necessary. I highly recommend this place and I'll definitely be back!! Outstanding service!! read more

I don't really do reviews but I can honestly say that I was provided with extremely good service at this Midas location.. The service guy Robert was very thorough with his explanation of what repairs were needed.. He made me feel very comfortable with having my car repaired and the pricing was extremely reasonable.. they didn't throw a bunch of words around to confuse the customer nor did I feel like they were trying to get me to spend any unnecessary money.. I can't believes at 38 yrs old I have never had any repairs done to my vehicle by Midas!.. I will be returning in the near future for any & and all repairs.. thanks a lot guys ???????? read more

First visit was okay, the owner and his wife seemed like nice honest people. I got my oil change and they suggested a coolant flush. I had 82,000 miles on my ford, the manual recommends at 105,000 miles. I told them I would consider it and get back to them. It had been bothering me so the next time I went back for an oil change I told them to go ahead and do the coolant flush. This time the owner was not there it was a guy named Robert. He came to me after the oil change and said they would not do the coolant flush because I had a leak. He showed it to me and yes there was a small leak from the temperature sensor. I asked how much to repai and he told me that I needed a new thermostat housing unit and the elbow hose is only 7 dollars and possibly a new temperature sensor, so $170 for parts $100 for labor and another $100 because they still have to flush after repair. I told them I would get back to them and I could clearly see the leak was only coming from the temperature sensor, but it was still reading temperature okay. A quick google searched suggested that the o-ring may be bad. A .50 cent part that was given to me by a nice guy at O'Riellys. It took 2 minutes and the leak stopped. I am far from a mechanic but it was a simple and literally cost next no nothing. These people are crooks and will sell you parts you don't need. I regret coming back here and will not be coming back. read more
