Infuriating experience. Stayed home from work Friday for an appointment between 8:30am - 1pm. I call to confirm at 8:20 Friday morning and am told the technician had to reschedule. The epitome of a hot mess. Booked a week ago when I got my oil changed at my independent shop for my bmw. My shop said I'd need new brakes in a couple months so wanted to get in front of it now. Found NuBrakes online and decided to give them a try. With me working from home, having someone come to me would be amazing. Also the price looked very good. I booked for Saturday afternoon. Cleared my calendar and made sure I'd be there for it. The tech arrived and got started. Found out they came with the wrong parts. So they had to find the correct parts for my brake job. They stated they would need to go to the dealer and could reschedule after they found the correct parts. They found the correct parts and texted me. They asked when the tech would come and I told them to send him that day to knock it out. No response. I got another text from NuBrakes asking about me rescheduling and I told them I asked for yesterday with no response. That went unanswered. I got another text the next day from the original NuBrakes number asking when I'd like to reschedule. I told them I asked for Monday but they didn't respond. They said they never got it. I sent them a screen shot of my request. I asked them to come Friday. They said they were booked. I said next Monday. They said that works. They then said I'm confirmed for Friday. I told them they just said Friday was full. They within two minutes chanted their stance and said it's open now. I booked Friday. Today is Friday. The tech arrives after going to the bmw dealer for the brake pads and rotors. He gets started and guess what again? The wrong parts. They text me saying wrong parts sorry. Tech leaves to get the correct ones again. He returns and completed my brake job. The tech was amazing. NuBrakes customer service is sloppy, disorganized and chaotic. I used NuBrakes previously and everything was great. I had to use my warranty twice. I used them again in October of this year and my warranty was expired so I had to pay full price again. I wanted to initially do a split payment so I used a card online. I then decided to use a different card for the full payment and asked them to refund my other card for the partial payment which was 267.67. I spoke with someone on the phone about it and she assured me that my refund was processed. I waited a week and still no refund so I contacted them again through text. They apologized for the situation and said to keep them posted. I contacted my card company and they said to wait 10 business days. I waited again and still no refund. I contacted NuBrakes again to let them know I still hadn't received my refund and that I would have to file a dispute against them. They completely ghosted me after that, no response to my text messages, completely unprofessional and shady. I contacted my card company and filed a dispute and my card company issued me a refund within a couple of days while investigating the situation. They lost me as a customer! I will use a different mobile brake company next time. Also my brakes squealed many times after they replaced the front pads and rotors and they had to replace them twice. Caveat emptor! On day of service, tech was on time. The thing that gives me some hesitation is that immediately the tech said I needed new rotors and brake pads without looking at all the wheels first.
