Yesterday tried to scam me for $1000.00 !! Cory, says he is new manager, told me piece for my air conditioner was a near $1000.00. estimate. I asked him to spell the part needed. I called Marshall Mize and they gave me $425.00 quote. When I told Cory, he says let me work some numbers! (WAT!! work some numbers for $600.00 off!! What!) -- So then gives me a $430.00 es. BUT now I'm skeptical. So another call, he says he will "throw in" the oil change! (So now it's a $350.00 job) I'm thinking NO NO NO! Let me go get my Truck! - He tells me, the technician already ordered part, it's on way! He tried his best to get me to pay for "work to be done" -My Truck got there 1 out of 2 vehicles for 8:30am APPOINTMENT! I waited, then left walking at 10:30am to wait for a call for an estimate and come back) --- Cory LIED! Mechanic is also in on it! Mechanic left my truck in stall the hours I waited in lobby! - I left and Cory called me with this estimate! I say NO! it's 4:00pm now! I walk back to Pick up my truck and it's blowing freezing cold air, because all it needed was ...FREON! Mechanic put it in, thinking I was gonna pay for a part. So I picked up and all working fine! Paid zero for Freon and Cory says NOTHING about air is working when I pick up my truck! Ford F-150. This is NEW MANAGEMENT NOW! Not manager Gearth Rogers, whom my fam and I went to for years! Do NOT TAKE your vehicle here! I told all my fam and friends! I'm blown away! I called BBB - I have to submit complaint on line!!! I posted this to HELP SOMEONE! I feel awful this place is in Hixson!! = CROOKS. - I'm gonna call the police dept. also!! God sees ALL! Once upon a time, Hamilton County enforced that my vehicle passed emissions every year. When my car needed some parts for the exhaust system replaced, I had some trouble finding a mechanic that serviced exhaust systems. Then I found Midas, who will service about everything on your vehicle. There hasn't been a reason to go anywhere else for mechanical issues. Midas has taken care of my car whenever I need. I was coming into town, one sunny afternoon, when all of a sudden, a cloud of smoke came from underneath my car's hood. The coolant temperature gauge had gone past its limit. Ahead on the left was a Midas that had recenly opened, the one on 153 that I now go to. I decided to convenienly pull my car over to cool off and repair. I found the service to be great and the staff is very approachable and friendly. My car is a bit special, but system by system, from my engine cooling system to brakes, Midas made each system perform like new. They've even done an inspection everytime I visit to let me know the condition my car is in, which helps my awareness in helping my car perform at its best for as long as possible. I would recommend this Midas to everyone. If you've never been to Midas, or you're considering trying a different place to service your vehicle; this Midas will take care of your car troubles for a reasonable price. Absolutely fantastic service! They went above and beyond the call of duty. We had a premature failure on our Ford Flex on our way from Wisconsin to Florida due to a faulty installation done the week before at a local shop at home (the line on one brake was worn though due to the installation and we lost brakes just coming out of the mountains). Other shops in Chattanooga were backed up and unable to help by the time we had the problem at 3:30pm. I contacted Midas Hixson and explained our situation to the owner, Kent Childs. He said he could look at it and at least determine the issue right away. We limped over to his shop and he was able to quickly make an assessment: Worn though flex-hose. He said he could still get the part and get it fixed but would take some time to get the part in. He offered to loan us his car so we could go get some food while we waited which we did. We got our food, got back and even though the part came in an hour after he normally closes, as soon as it did he got us on his way. Huge Kudos to Kent and all of his Staff! read more

I have taken my truck to many shops in the Chattanooga area with mixed success. I recently took my 2002 Chevy Silverado to the Hixson Midas shop and was very pleased with the work that I have performed. It being an older vehicle that I do really like, it was nice to find a shop and can trust and really like. The staff that works on the vehicles have done a great job and I have spent over $3000.00 with them in the last 4 weeks and have been more that happy with the outcome on the much needed repairs. This shop actually fixed some things that another shop couldn't. I am very pleased and will return with my truck. Thanks guys. Also the waiting area was clean and had free coffee and in walking distance to a couple of places to eat. I really like shop, met the owner and was very nice to speak with. I had a total break job done on my truck that had been mothballed for about 9 years, also had the suspension gone over. Very satisfied with this shop and the staff. GREAT repair shop! I first came here for an oil change 6 or so years ago, and I'm still coming back today. In fact, while I've moved way across town, I now make the longer drive (past plenty of other auto repair shops) to get these guys to work on my cars. They've always been honest, friendly and fast with my service, and they've helped me diagnose hard-to-nail-down problems in the past. Further, my issues have always been resolved with a single visit -- and at a fair price. (In fact, in a couple cases when other shops have suggested I needed more expensive work, the Midas Hixson guys have left $ on the table by ruling out unnecessary "fixes" that just weren't needed.) Quick service to repair a degraded, leaking exhaust system. The Service Manager, Garreth, and his Technician Saved me time and money. Within an hour of arriving, They welded pipe and a coupling to replace the corroded leaking joint instead of a much larger cost for a complete new system. The general Midas inspection that was performed as part of the Midas repair was extensive and eased my wife's concerns about the weekends planned travels, I'll be back to this Midas the next time I need my car serviced; they did right me! read more

I came here a few days ago!!! I believe it was Saturday. Seems like there is new man with Daniel!!! I had my car serviced here with an oil change and he had me cracking and definitely gave me a good time. I don't recognize any of the workers in the shop seems like they have a whole new crew! Will only ever use Midas in Hixson!!! As soon as I walked in I was greeted by one of the guys up front named Cody. I told him I needed an oil change and some other things looked at and he handled everything. The guys in the back spent no time and pulled my car in and within 30 mins I was out and was told about anything I needed. They even send pictures to your phone!! It's crazy how different it is now.
