I had a AMAZING experience Milton and Ronnie are above and beyond. Customer service are EXCELLENT I truly recommend MIDAS.

I needed my catalytic converter replaced because it was stolen. Tony and his Midas colleagues went above and beyond in getting the part and replacing it the same day!!! Thanks for the great service!! read more

My husband took my car here to get a tire patched. When he returned home my YSL sunglasses and my coin purse with spare change and $25 were nowhere to be found. Not a huge monetary loss, but my husband contacted the manager several times and he never even bothered to respond. Beware, if you're planning to have work done here be sure your car is empty or your items could be stolen. As for me, I'll continue to hold this over my husbands head for not removing my items from the car lol. And we definitely will not ever be back. read more

Took my car in for an alignment and oil change. Was told that I also needed coolant.... I don't know but said ok. My car stearing wheel still wobbles when I break to slow down. Now 2 days later my car won't start! Additionally this (!) -- light for tire pressure miraculously comes on... 2 new issues that I hadn't had prior to going in. I'm really suspicious of taking my car there because the last time I went in for new tires one was not put in correctly and had to return. I received an apology but that should not have happened in the first place. No more Midas for me I have to say. read more

About a couple months ago, my rear passenger tire blew out. The guy at the front desk was very helpful in trying to get my tire size and even offered to put it on for me if I could find one in stock at another shop- since my tire size was very specific and aftermarket, and they didn't have one at the time (they'd need to special order it). I ended up having to order another tire and wait for it which arrived next day, but the service was EXCELLENT. read more

I do not recommend this place. The service crew are rude and unprofessional. They will charge you so much and still not get the problem fixed. read more

We came in first customers at 9AM to have our brakes pads changed, and brake fluids flushed and replaced. What should have been an hour or 2 hour service turned into 6 HOURS WASTED of our day. I REPEAT 6... HOURS.. Let's start with the first mishap, shall we? Allen ordered our replacement brake pads right when we got there are 9AM. They had the original parts that were in our car sent to their supplier. Come 10AM, the parts they ordered were incorrect... I mean come on, you already received the EXACT EXAMPLE of what should be ordered. 10:30 AM comes around, ROUND 2 of our brake pads were ordered, and guess what? SECOND SHIPMENT arrives at 1PM and, the parts were ONCE AGAIN, INCORRECT. Given we had already spent 4 hours of our day, we decided to scrap the whole idea of having our brake pads and rotor replaced. We had them bring our original parts back, install it, and only utilized their service to flush out the brake fluids. Needless to say, they did such a horrible and inconvenient job. Had I known my time would wasted, I would have gone elsewhere. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AT THIS LOCATION. read more

I took two cars to Midas Daly City last week, and got great service both times. From Ronnie, Tony and Milton at the front desk, to Jose and the other mechanics, they had the cars up on racks within minutes of my appointment time, and finished sooner than I could have hoped. Spacious waiting room, clean bathroom, killer coffee! read more

I was looking for an honest mechanic workshop that doesn't scam or cheat you to get more money. I went to a couple of mechanics in Daly city, I usually get a cold response from the front desk, but I didn't here at Midas. They will tell you what you need to fix. I'll be coming here as my primary mechanic!!! Ps my car been running smoothly. read more

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE! PABLO THE SERVICE TECH IS HORRIBLE AND EXTREMELY RUDE! I came in on 09/21/20 to drop my vehicle off for a basic conventional oil change as i parked my vehicle i was told to move my vehicle so of course i asked the car tech which of course was PABLO could i run in to sign my paper work and be gone and before i could finish my sentence he turns his back and walks away so i replied please don't turn your back to me I'm asking you a question and that's when he threw his hands up and continued to walk away. I can't understand how a company could hold on to a employee who DRIVES Business away! Someone please give PABLO a refresher course on customer service before i contact the better business bureau read more

Very good shop! My honda had an oil leak and worn out break pads and rotors. Midas replaced them all around and fixed my oil pan leak fast! I recommend this place for anyone trying to get the job done same day. read more

Full brakes service. Reasonably priced and I'm gone to them in the past I really don't know why they have low ratings on Yelp but they are amazing they're honest I don't feel like I'm getting ripped off like some of the other places that I don't even want to mention. All I know is I will be coming back for more work and oil changes they are amazing. I finally gonna stick with something that feels right. read more

Beware! George, the front desk receptionist, is rude and dismissively arrogant. I brought my Tesla Model 3 into the shop to get a flat patched. He said the shop doesn't service Teslas, but doesn't know the reason why. Then, I mentioned my tires (Michelin CrossClimate+) are used on non-Teslas as well, and he responds by saying that my tires were incompatible with my vehicle and the ONLY tires that were compatible were the factory-installed tires. I reached out to Tesla service, and this is patently incorrect. Even a quick Google search shows many tires (including mine), that are compatible on a Model 3. I left by thanking him and saying we could agree to disagree, and on my way out, he responds, "sorry you can't understand I'm right." There are many tire shops on Mission. Do yourself a favor and don't patronize this one. I eventually got my tire patched at Sunrise Auto in less than 30 minutes, but you can also go to Hillside Tires, Golden Auto, and Goodyear, all less than 1 mile away. read more

Brakes need a change and they wanted to charge an 40 dollar inspection fee saying the rotors could be bad, when I know they aren't. Wasted my time driving to this shop. Learned today to stay away from corporate companies like this. read more

The worst. Stir away from this shop, 2x I got my oil change here I was told that my tires has nails. When I came here to have them service my Jeep all 4 tires has nails. I came here a few years after, they told me that my Corolla has nails. Idk if these are coincidence or this is a scam to get more money. When I came in those front store guys are ALWAYS up-selling me more than I need. I was quoted $599 for tires and alignment that I "must" have. The guy who helped me was aggressive and got mad when I said I'll come back. I ended up going to America's Tires for $360 altogether. My advice is go to other shop. Car maintenance aren't cheap so don't go to shops like this that will steal your money and scam you! read more

Set up an appointment a week in advance. Confirmed with the scheduler that it takes a couple days to get the tires. I said great because I am not coming in for about a week. Plenty of time to either order the tires or let me know you don't have them ahead of the appointment. Had a price request with a quoted price which I can understand isn't always accurate to actual costs. Come in for my appointment and they don't have the tires and they weren't sure when I was coming in. What? I had an appointment... They tell me they could get two of them tomorrow and not sure about the other two. Also the cost of each tire is 35% more than the quote I received. The guy at the counter was nice enough and sensing my frustration tried to see if there was a comparable tire that they have on hand and that there was a promotion. Boss man overhears and immediately says that deal expired. Look, I understand costs are rising and the price on the website isn't necessarily up to this particular location's control. I understand supply isn't what it used to be and you may have to wait to get the products you want. I understand you missed that task to call the customer ahead of their appointment to let them know the tires they want are not in stock. These things happen but, too many flags for me. Not coming back. The business platform for this place is: Step 1) Provide terrible customer service, (i.e. disrespect, mislead, waste time, etc.) Step 2) React to specific negative comment Step 3) Change nothing about your customer service Step 4) Repeat read more

We came in at 3:45pm with two oil change appointments for 4pm. There were two guys at the desks but we still waited in line. We approached the first guy available and instead of taking care of the both of us at once, he did it separately. It would've been faster if we just stayed in line and went to the two guys separately... My paperwork was not even finished until about 4:15. We sat on the couches as OVER AN HOUR passed for a simple oil change. The staff was also completely unprofessional. There were many times where our cars were not being worked on, but the mechanics were eating pizza and many even came into the office to chat. We also witnessed a lot of the mechanics mixing up and confusing customers. Once the cars were finally done, they broke down a bunch of other stuff wrong with my car, even trying to convince me that the police would impound my car if I do not get my tires fixed. Googled a while and found NOTHING about such thing. By the time we were out of there, it was 5:20 (yes even with an appointment). I guess what more could you expect for a $20 oil change. Showing up early and making an appointment does not make any difference. One star for the price, but I'd rather spend a bit more at a Pennzoil, where they actually REPLACE your fluids as well (all in 15 minutes with the oil change too) rather than Midas just checking and reporting. Better yet, I'd recommend going anywhere else (Valvoline, Jiffy Lube, dealership) than wasting an hour and a half of your time here for a simple oil change. read more

I filled out an appointment request yesterday for an oil change today. I provided all the car info and my phone. In the morning I got a confirmation for my appoint at 4:00. I arrived at 4:00 and this arrogant guy behind the counter ( he said his name is Johnny- probably a lie- But you can miss him short, fat, short hair and terrible teeth's)- and the first thing he says is that he does not have the oil or the filter for my car. I asked him why did they sent me a confirmation for the appointment :See confirmation from Midas below "Thank you for scheduling your service with us. As a reminder, your appointment for your 2015 VOLKSWAGEN JETTA is confirmed for Thursday 9/15/2022 at 4:00 PM. Thanks, Midas of San Bruno 700 El Camino Real San Bruno, CA 94066 650-588-5576 He said the lady who makes the appointments, does not know about cars. My next questions was " why is she making appointments if she doesn't know what she is doing" Then I asked why dint they had the courtesy to call me, and tell me not to come in. He did not answer. When I arrive the whole place was empty, no one was working on a car. That should had been a clue- no customers- something is wrong here. The obnoxious guy behind the counter has not only a horryble customer service manners, but is also running this place into the ground. Horrible customer service and bad attitude equals no customers. Watch out for this place. I went in for a 25 dollars advertised standard oil change and the front desk REP was trying to charge me $50. They said its not synthetic(which is more expensive usually). I told them I know and I just want regular oil and they tried to play it off if synthetic should be cheaper. go somewhere else if you want better service and better rates. read more

Their customer service was great but when they finished the free brake inspection they quoted me $1,400 for new brake pads/rotors. They told me they all needed to be replaced and that they needed to be done immediately. This quote seemed pretty high to me so I left, called around, and got some quotes for nearby shops. One quote from a shop down the street came in at $800 for labor and the same parts but the same thing was $450 at Jiffy Lube. So of course I went into Jiffy Lube the next day, and it turned out that I didn't need all the work Midas was trying to charge me for. I've heard alot of shops try to push unnecessary repairs on women because they assumed we wouldn't know the difference but this was the first time I've actually experienced this. Reading the other reviews this seems to happen more than it should. I will never come back to this shop. read more

I went to Daly City Midas for an oil change for my 2010 Prius on a Friday afternoon. They did the oil change and told me that I desperately needed a "belt" that could break at any time. I also needed tires and that was the more pressing need and I went to a nearby tire place because I had to take a two hour drive the next day. I called a few weeks later, referenced the work order for the belt and made ab appointment for 3:30. I showed up, sat in the waiting room for more than two hours before the desk attendant tells me that Prius do not have this belt!!! I went to speak to the mechanic who showed me this in the engine, but I wasted those hours sitting in their waiting room while the attendant apologized to lots of folks with appointments about how understaffed they were. What were they trying to sell me/scam me when I came for the oil change? The attendant apologized profusely, tried to give me someone else's car key, and promised that the manager would call me. Three days later, no call. Avoid this place. read more

They don't patch tires. They will try to sell you a new set of tires even if all you need is a $10 patch kit and basic literacy for the instructions. I brought my flat directly into the lobby and showed one of their grunts the hole. All I needed was a patch because I had gotten my Bridgestone tires from Costco 6 months ago. The tread was far from worn and they tried saying that because they "sand down tread" to patch, there wasn't enough material to work with. I get it. You sell tires. But don't ever waste my time. You could've just said "we don't patch tires" and I would've respected that. Instead, "Come down and let's take a look at it. We won't charge you anything if it's looking okay" (Employee name redacted: R_ _ _ _ _). You think cleverness makes good business? Honesty makes lasting business. This is why people go to Costco. Summary: Go to Costco for new tires or buy a patch kit from O'Reilly down the street. read more

Came in on a Sunday morning while the rest of tire service stations are all closed. A couple nearby that are open had a 2-3hrs wait just to patch a tire. Midas - 2016 Dodge Challenger RT/ScatPack - Auto Repair Near Me - Daly City, California

Under new management and after a few years renovation, this place has opened back up again. The prices are a little too high in my opinion and they should work on their costumer care (the real hit and miss problem). Management has no problem sharing your issues with our costumers (with total disregard of both privacy and respect of their costumers). Their estimates are thorough and they did call me back with a quote pretty promptly. I am still not entirely sure I will be using them to fix my car, though. But they did help me out in a few situations I didn't know i had with my car I thought that was nice of them, but like I said earlier if you need to talk to the customers, do in privately about stuff not in the open. When I have the time and money I will be going there to have them look at one of the repairs I need done and see what discounts thank you give me cuz apparently they have coupons and stuff so you might want to check that out before you pay any full price. read more

Dropped my car off for an oil change and alignment at 8:30a. Walked to Starbucks for an hour and got back to find my car hadn't moved. 9:30 my car goes up. Waited another hour to find out they can't do an alignment because there's 2,800$ worth of repairs before they can even touch the alignment. Quickly asked for my car back not even sure they did a complete oil change. Save your money but more importantly save your time and do NOT come here unless you want to be taken advantage of. read more

I was able to get an appointment today and bring car in this morning. The price was right for an oil change around $89 for my Nissan Rouge which is $10 less than Jiffy Lube. They did recommend an alignment and replacement of tie rods (which would run $600) as Costco doesn't do alignments. I will need to shop around and see if this repair is even required and what the true cost would be. I was done in about one hour. read more

$2O OiL CHANGE! They will print out recommended projects on your car. Take the recommendations, study them, & compare prices at other places - ha ha. Cheap oil changes are a LOSS LEADER. They get you in, then FIND what else is needed on yr car. Milton is knowledgeable, but I'm homeless & unemployed. Midas recommended: Spark Plugs (6) for $362! Coolant exchange for $129. Wont be coming back to Midas this place has ruined it for me. Made an appointment for 2pm today showed up early but they did not even start doing the oil change until 230pm from their it took an hour and a half. All the while I had to listen to the front office people talk trash and compare photos of customer cars. On top of that Doug is a little brash when dealing with customers. The upselling of trying to convince customers to do all sorts of additional work is ridiculous here. You can keep that $20 oil change that takes two f$&@ing hours. read more

I have to give it to this Midas. If you are around the area and looking for any service on your vehicle, id highly recommend this shop. I know mine was a simple fix, tire patch for my Mazda 3, but having to not pay for the service had me flabbergasted. I was shocked and couldnt not believed what i heard. Best service, warmth welcome from the workers, easy going and fast service. One thing I noticed which had me trust this shop was when this employee used a torque wrench to tighten up the lug nuts after using an impact gun. Most shops i know just use the impact gun and off they go but NO. This shop makes sure their customer is safe when handing back their vehicle. Top notch service. Check them out and you will not be disappointed. read more

Great price for synthetic oil locally. The ETA is 45 min to an hour vs. 10 min at places like Valvoline (which, btw, is waaay overpriced, more than double the cost), so bring work or whatever to keep occupied. Because they need more time per car, make an appointment. read more
