SCAMMERS!!!! Do not waste your money there. They wanted $650 for a full break replacement, I found 3 other quotes for HALF the price. I called Midas and told them not to complete the service, they confirmed on phone nothing including the oil change had been completed. I got there 5 minutes later only for them to say they had started the oil change. Ok fine. I get ready to pay and ask if that includes the first time use discount. Mike the manager lies and tells me they don't do oil change discounts (despite telling me last week they do and despite the woman who I saw earlier who got a first time discount). So I bring this up and he says well I was going to discount your breaks, and I say ok I'm not getting breaks so you're telling me that bc I found a cheaper place I can't have an oil change discount? I explained to him how good customer service is consistent and fair across the board. Just rude, and not right. I am a full time graduate student, you don't just take people's money. Now you lose out on any future service. Boooo mike! read more

Awful! Never been there before was trying to get an oil change .Place was empty and the two guys that worked there were rude and not helpful at all. So I left and went to Jiffy Lube. When some that has never been to your establishment you should be a little more helpful and not so RUDE read more

Had to do an alignment and replace 2 threads on the wheels from being stripped. I tried Cassidy tire and they weren't able to get me in on a Saturday early morning. Plus they were not that accommodating. So I called up my juice, and they were able to get me in right away. The cost was very fair and they provided excellent customer service. read more

This guys are the best , great customer service , great prices , fast service , and the most important thing is they are very honest .

It's not pleasant to get a flat in 0 degree weather, so finding a nearby shop with excellent customer service and a good price was a real pleasure. They repaired something small for nothing when they could have got more money out of me. I'll be back. read more

Mike and the entire team at 510 W Roosevelt Road are awesome. Special props to Efrain who straightened out my idle which was causing my car to die in the middle of 4 lanes of heavy traffic on 94 heading into downtown. Phew, Roosevelt Road Midas to the rescue. read more

Great! We took our car in 30 minutes before they closed and they still took a look at it and even drove around the block with us so we could show them what was wrong (our breaks pads were totally gone and it sounded horrible). They had to order a part so we left our car there. They had it fixed and ready by 2pm the next day. read more

Everytime I call to make an appt for an oil change no one is never available so I went online to schedule an appt and everything went through and also purchased a Groupon and they call me on the day of my appt and said they don't have any openings. Very upset and no pleased at all. I would never refer anyone to this location. No professional. read more

This Midas has the most talented group of mechanics I have ever dealt with! Jimmy, the manager, knows all about cars. They are direct and straight to the point with providing estimates and completing the work. This Midas is convenient to the downtown area. Phone calls were made to me during the repair of my truck to keep me posted as to how things were going and if there were any problems incurred. I will continue to use this Midas for all of my repairs! read more

I CANNOT emphasize in a post how terrible this place is. I went in for a simple oil change that ended up costing me $560 when it was all said and done. When I received my car back after my oil change my power steering was shot (not 5 minutes after driving it, IMMEDIATELY when I received it). When i took the car back in to have them look at it, they told me power steering coincidentally was damaged at the time of the oil change. I have a 2001 BMW, where the power steering fluid is right next to where the oil is held, so I believe that whoever was fixing the car accidentally damaged the power steering. It's one thing for this to happen, it was another to see how poor Midas' customer service was. The store manager, Jim A., could provide me no financial remedy to this problem, but conveniently provided me a printout from his web "research" that supported that the power steering could faulter (Thanks Jim...very helpful). I then had the honor to talk to the regional manager Joe W.. This guy is a real treat, our conversation brought me back to when I was 5 years old and arguing with my sibling about who broke it. Our conversation turned into a screaming match over who caused the power steering to be damaged. He has no idea what the definition of customer service is. I encourage everyone who continues to have a problem at this location just to give him a call to see it with your own eyes, you will not be disappointed. He ended up giving me $100 off of the original $580 that was quoted to fix my power steering (whoopie!), reducing the cost of my original oil request to $480. Since Joe was of no help at all, I called corporate customer service, which they could not do anything except tell me that a regional representative would be calling me back. I specifically told them that I did not want to speak to Joe, in which they assured me that a guy named Walter would be calling me back. Sure enough, 2 DAYS later, good ole Joe calls me back. At this point, it became more of a customer service issue then the underlying issue I originally had. I had to take time out of my work day during these couple days to continually call Midas since I was not hearing anything back. A company that tends to a customer complaint 2 days after the original call is embarrasing and Midas should be ashamed of themselves. Whether my complaint was of merit or not, when you deal in customer service, the customer is of your utmost concern. These guys have no idea how to treat customers, it's a circus. No customer should ever be treated this way. I will continue to fight this until I receive a full refund and will use all available resources until this happens. This is not the last that they have heard of me. I encourage everyone to stay away. read more

Had to drop my car off for an oil change while I was at work - they told me I could pick it up after work which was really nice. Great car and customer service! read more

I found this morning that I had a flat tire. I had many choices where to have it fixed and chose Midas. They said it would take a couple of hours. No problem because I live half a mile away. Anyway I got a call from them to pick up the tire a couple of hours later. When I arrived they said would I like to have it installed. I said I could do it but sure why not. They installed it and then told me that I was good to go. I said "what!" incredulously and said I needed to pay. "No payment required, off you go and have a nice day". I am not saying that this is what they do with all customers but it's a hell of a good way to get customer allegiance! read more

Ummmmm the verdict is out on Midas. Based on the YeIp reviews I was happy to encounter Mike and Martin, both were very professional and took the time to explain the problem. They were 100% correct in the diagnosis. I brought my vehicle in for an oil change. During this time it was discovered that spark plugs (for BMW X5) were needed and to the tune of $415. When asked if this was the best offer the price was then reduced by a few bucks. In my mind, I'm thinking why not give me the best pricing option from the start. This made me a bit skeptical. While initially agreeing to having the work completed, my gut told me to cross reference this cost with my regular automotive shop. Lo and behold the same parts (not aftermarket) were priced considerably lower. I mean considerably lower. Needless to say, I cancelled the service and went back to my regular shop to have the work done. I was really hoping to have an alternate automotive repair shop in the area. However, I need a shop with haggle free/spot on pricing. I really wanted to give 4-5 stars but when it came down to pricing I didn't like the HUGE disparity in cost when compared to shops in the area and for a simple issue. read more

I am very impressed and appreciative of the honesty of the employees at this Midas location. I was told by another mechanic that I needed to get a new battery. So I took my car to this Midas location. I also thought I might need an oil change so I asked them to do this as well. After a few minutes, the guy at the front desk called my name and told me that they checked my battery and it was actually working just fine so I didn't need to replace it. He also told me that I am not due for an oil change yet. I clearly do not know much about cars and it was probably obvious to these guys - they easily could have gone ahead and changed the battery and the oil and I wouldn't have known the difference. A lot of times people write reviews to complain, but I was so impressed with their honesty that I wanted to make sure to write a review to convey this. The next time I need work done on my car I would definitely feel comfortable taking it here. read more

Brought my car in cause it was simply overheating, was told I just had some blown out fuses, simple fix. Started driving the car, didn't get too far before I realized car was still overheating. Returned the car. Now I was told I needed a thermostat & since it was so hard to diagnose I had to pay the diagnostic fee plus the cost of the thermostat. Less than week later I could barely turn my steering wheel. Paid to have new steering pump installed. After having steering pump installed still had problems turning steering wheel - same ol problem. Was told, and even shown, I needed a whole new steering column & it would cost around $800. Went to a small mechanic shop, he simply sprayed some lubricant on my steering shaft and the problem was instantly solved. I don't trust this Midas. I originally brought my car in cause it was overheating & since then problems been snowballing. After driving home from having steering pump installed I started having completely unrelated issues, had to return the car & pay them to fix these other issues which I never had before. I simply don't trust this shop. Seems extremely shady. read more
