Honestly would give them -1 stars but seems like i cant on here but ive left a review prior to this stating how they left my drain plug loose and all the oil came out of my car and how the district joke of a manager decided to compensate for my issues by offering me another oil change for free which i felt disrespected after they almost blew my motor thinking i would be comfortable letting them try again. Well i am the fool here today because ive done my oil change earlier this month over at midas in Alpharetta just to find out today while getting my brakes inspected somewhere else the mechanic informed me its pretty wet under my oil pan just for them to find out my drain plug was barley hanging on a thread. Yet again midas can't perform a simple oil change. And i wont even get started on their brake jobs. Well I'll share a little. They will cheap out on the pads and rotor's and you will hear squeals ands squeaks the up coming month after you change your brakes at midas. STAY AWAY! On July 8/2025 I have a toll truck took my 2006 Acura TSX to this shop due to a blinking check engine light and overheating issues. After a few hours Justin told me after their diagnosis that luckily, the engine was fine, but a specific part needed to be replaced due to the overheating. He gave me a repair estimate of $2,300, after the negotiable we're both agreed for $1800. ( At the time there is another blonde hair guy with Justin at the front deck) I left the car for two days. Then Justin called to say the car was done, it running but it was still overheating. He gave me two options, but I immediately refused to continue, because it was clear they hadn't fixed the problem. I asked for my car back, but Justin refused to release it unless I paid. I asked to speak to a manager, who finally called back and told me that the engine actually needs to be replaced and would cost $6,000-$8,000--even though my entire car is worth about $4,000! Clearly, the diagnosis was wrong, and they proceeded with repairs that didn't resolve the issue. I have since filed a court claim and am preparing to take legal action. read more

I scheduled an appointment yesterday for Pep Boys to have my alignment checked and possibly adjusted because I just bought a brand new set of tires from Costco. When I got to my morning appointment, on time, they said they won't be able to get it in for a few hours basically like my appointment didn't matter and that they overbooked themselves and to top it all off they had with a terrible attitude about it like I was the one inconveniencing them! So I told them I'm going to take it somewhere else and left super frustrated thinking I'm never going to pep boys again! On the way home I see a Midas and decide to pull in, I receive a very friendly greeting at the door from Jacob and Leo, I asked if they do alignments and if they could get me in today. They were happy to accommodate me and said I can get you in right now and got me checked in and my car on the rack immediately. Within 15 minutes they come in and very honestly reported that my alignment was good and that I didn't need an adjustment after all. They could have tried to sell me the alignment but on top of being very friendly, accommodating, and professional they were honest and trustworthy. Definitely recommend! Don't bother with Pep Boys just go to Midas! read more

Well in all honesty, I was ripped off. I needed my muffler welded back on because it fell off. At first, they tried to get me to pay around $1500 to get the whole exhaust system up to the resonator replaced because of some rust; not including muffler replacement. I said no because I didn't think I had to do that. I definitely didn't want to pay that. I just wanted my muffler to be put back on. Eventually they agreed to just weld it back on. I ended up paying $575 for that and went about the rest of my day. After some research of the procedure though, I found that I actually paid a little more than the average price for an entire exhaust replacement which includes replacing the muffler(for my car). Yes, even when they put MY OWN muffler back on and kept the whole exhaust system the way it was including the resonator. I believe they had to cut off a couple of areas that were a little rusty to facilitate the job, but it wasn't anything crazy. They are scam artists. They pretend that they are looking out for you when really they aren't. The manager Eric was totally in on it. Don't trust him nor his colleagues. read more

Trevor the manager who told us he was a mechanic for 17 years , tried overcharging us for a repair that he completely did not diagnose correctly. he quoted us $739.00 for a pan gasket and 8 quarts of transmission oil! asked Trevor why so expensive? he replied, ATF transmission oil was "special stuff" wanting $39.00 a quart when all of us can buy it for 10.00 a quart. This place deserves 10 stars for their honesty, and great communication. I took my vehicle there for a steering noise. They did a complete safety check on it and made sure it was OK for me to drive and told me the recommendation for my problem. It could've cost me a lot of money if they wanted to be dishonest but they where not and I thank them for it and I highly recommend them. One star only because Zero stars was not an option. After more than a decade of using this store, I was told that "company policy" prevented them from plugging two holes in my tire. I explained that I have new tires arriving on Friday and so the tire only needed to hold up two days. They didn't care. Guess there are other tire and muffler shops in town. And even if there weren't I wouldn't give them a nickle more of my money. Hope you avoid them too. read more

Stopped by for an oil change and to get a tire checked for nails. They had me in and out in record time with fresh oil and a new tire. In addition they noticed some wiring in my car that had been left unrepaired by a previous service shop and got that fixed for me. My car was making a loud "screeching" sound and I was told it was my breaks. I paid $1000 for pads, rotors, and calipers. I drove off after the repair and the loud screeching sound was still there. I was then told it was the tension on the fan and paid another $500 for this repair. However, I said, up front, that this needs to be the problem or don't do it if you aren't sure. They said this is the problem. I picked up the car and the screeching sound is still there. Obviously, nobody bothered to test drive the car. I have given you guys thousands of dollars in business and I feel I deserve better service than this. If you don't know what is causing a problem, then say so. This $1500 ate up most of my social security check this month. Before I publish this on yelp, I am giving you an opportunity to rectify this in some way. read more

I took my 1999 F150 in to get a new muffler and tail pipe. after getting an change at another location about 1.5 months later, it was noticed that the tail pipe was installed too close to the back shock. It melted the shock housing. I went back to Midas to show them the problem. The mechanic agreed the mistake was made, but they would have to get permission from the regional manager, Erik Passaro, before they would correct problem and replace the shock. Expecting a call the next day, never happened, In fact, Erik never called me, so after stopping by to get he issue resolved and waiting 2 weeks, I had to call Midas corporate and got a case #, but was told to give it 10 days for a reply from Erik. Again no reply. I called back corporate and they said the repair was approved, and they were a bit surprised I had not receive a call to schedule appt. to fix. Finally, after about 6 weeks from my initial notice to Midas about the mistake, Erik did answer my phone call and we schedule an appt to fix tail pipe position and replace the one shock. I made the request that both shocks should be replaced, (a common practice) and that would be will to pay for the part cost for the one shock, but felt the labor portion should be covered by them. Midas agreed, but then went on to tell me the cost of one new shock would be about $250. I said that seemed pretty high. So they said that a medium cost would then be $150 for one shock. I ask them the brand and type shock, and then called an auto part store to get my price for two and my assumption was correct. $190 for two Monroe Performance shocks at local parts store. At this point, I felt like I was at their mercy to get the problem corrected so agreed to pay the $161.63 (after tax was included). When I looked under the truck to see if both replaced, the shocks were two different colors. I mentioned this to Midas and their reply was that they came that way. At this point I just gave up and left. Bottom line is the customer service here was some of the worst I have ever experienced. This could have all been avoided if when the mechanic realized he installed pipe wrong, he had the authority to set up appt right then. I'm not sure what the regional manager's job is, as he never called me once. I I never met him even though he was there at times (but always busy) I would give 0 stars if I could. read more

I have been going here for routine service and maintenance for over 7 years and with 4 different cars have spent well over $10k and always been happy with the prior management team of Brian and Matt. They were straight shooters and always did exactly what they said they would do when they said they would. After their departure the management has turned over and now it's just like any other quick lube+ with questionable ethics. Guy today told me it was going to be $145 dollars just to hook the diagnostic tester up to my car. I know that for a fact is not true as I have had it done there many times before for nothing. Brian the manager was friendly, and very business like. Today I find out that he left. I have been going to the Alpharetta location on Mayfield ever since it became a Midas. I made an appt to get lube, oil, and filter at 8:00 AM for this morning. The appt was made last week. After being there at 7:50, first customer, about 10 minutes in to the service , I was told they cannot do the work, the lift has been broken for a few weeks and Midas does not care to fix or replace the heavy duty lift. The man at the counter with his nose ring and man bun was RUDE and extremely NON professional. I told him that he knew when I made the appt he would not be able to do the job. I then said delete all my information from the computer as I will NEVER be back. His answer, sorry to here that. What a way to run a business. My father and I have done so much business with this company and they were always amazing but then again, that was when the old manager was working. Anyways, I was offered an alignment by a boy that works here and I was told it was perfectly fine and while I was there I was talking to someone else that works there, who i thought was the manager about a job too. NOW i know that that was not okay and that person must not have been the manager but the boy didn't lock my steering wheel and left me dragging to the right so badly that my steering wheel shakes. I called back to see if this could be fixed and they told me that I would have to pay for the full price european alignment even though I was offered one by THEIR employee who left my car the way it is now, and is still working here. My daughter took her Jeep to Midas for an alignment. Shortly after dropping it off, they called to say the tire rods needed to be replaced for $700 before they could align the tires. We took the Jeep to Main Street Automotive for a 2nd opinion and they were able to align the tires for under $100 and said the tire rods did not need replacing! Watch your wallet at Midas! read more

I've had nothing but good things to say about this Midas until my last visit. Went in for a 60,000 tune up, slow leak in my tire and ended up needing front brakes. Two new tires purchased and the old ones expected to be rotated to the back on my front wheel drive sedan. Two days later, my dashboard said I had low tire pressure. Come to find out the staple found during my visit was still in the tire on the rear and still leaking slowly. Although the manager agreed to buy one of the two tires I now needed to buy, I still have to buy a new tire that I thought I bought two days before. I'm skeptical about mechanics in general, so this didn't help and had me questioning how much of my 60,000 tune up was completed. I'll go back, but not without looking for other recommendations first. read more

I went in there asking about an alignment and then talked tires. I felt a little guilty because I didn't buy tires from them but it didn't matter. If I could give a lower score, I would. Terrible experience. Caused me to miss two days of work now and I'm left with a squeaking truck. I went in for a simple oil change. They came out and told me that my back break pads were getting low and asked if I wanted them done. I had Zero trouble with my brakes prior to coming in. I hesitated and said no at first, but came back the next day and said do it. Again No problems with my brakes before going in. Immediately after I left Midas with my new back pads, my truck starts screeching/squealing bad after almost every time I hit the break. I bring it back the following day and they said they put some compound on it and it's fixed. It didn't take me going two miles before they start screeching again. I don't know what to do at this point. I had no screeching problems before having them change my back pads and "Matt" says he doesnt know why this happened. Oh Yeah, they Quoted me $139 and when I went to have them done they said it's $169. This place stinks and now I'm left with a squeaking truck. Embarrassed and feeling helpless! read more

They didn't try to sell anything to me and they changed the oil according to my preference. I 100% will be returning here because of their customer service. Took my 2013 Escalade in for brakes cause one rotor was trashed. Couldn't figure out why only one. Nasty grooves. They looked it over and found the right caliper was seized causing brake to always be on. Fast reasonable and great service will definitely be a repeat customer. Went in to see about having just my muffler replaced on my 2002 toyota 4runner. Note: the muffler is a bolt on muffler. Talked to a young man, he might have been the manager but I don't know, about my problem. Well he looked at the muffler and told me that they were going to have to do a bunch of cutting and welding to replace the muffler. I might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I do know if it's a bolt on muffler no welding is required. The young man gave me a price of $730.00 dollars to fix it. I went to another garage and it cost me a little over $200.00 to have the muffler changed. My recommendation is to stay as far away from these crooks as you can. read more
