I went to another tire place and they told me my leak couldn't be fixed and i needed new tires. Said i only had about 1000 miles of tread left. I was shocked but they said EVs go thru tires very quickly. Anyway went to Discount and they not only fixed my tire for free they said i had about 5000 more miles of tread life. I came here to get a new tire after getting a nail in the side wall of my current one. When I came in the guy checked out my wheels telling me I needed to get all of them replaced to which I refused and said I just wanted to get a new one for what I needed. Then when I was paying for the one tire he said it would be $330!?! I then asked to see his computer to see the breakdown and magically and it was 280 to which he responded that "the system messed up" and then I had to ask for the mandatory warranty on the tire because I originally bought it from this company. After "checking" and "making sure" he added the base warranty to make the total cost $252. So yeah make sure you know what your paying for if you come here because they will try to up-charge you if your not aware. Went from $330 to $252. read more

I did something so stupid. I blew 2 tires out on my car. They were under warranty via another unnamed. The tires were no longer available and I needed my car. Chris at Discount Tire helped me get the tires ordered and there by 2:30 PM. Then they worked me in and in 4 hours I was completely on the road! They were busy and did not flench. What a crew.. only 4 men in the bay. Chris joined his team to get it done. That is customer service at its finest. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I got two brand new tires from this location. When I left my car was shaking and rattling I knew something was off. I brought it the next day, they said it was their bad they weighed it wrong. Ok.. back on the interstate STILL rattling. I took the car to another location and they found out the inside of the tire was practically broken to pieces (I'm not a car genius but something to do with the tire piece to reduce noise when driving). Another location took time to look at every single thing to make sure everything was good. Alpharetta location, do better. That was the biggest waste of my time. read more

**BEWARE**SCAM** Came in with my car to have tires rotated and balanced. I was informed that my tread was at a "4" on 3 of my tires and a "5" on the other and needed all 4 replaced soon. They even recommended to keep the best tire on the rear. The issue: tires are only 25K miles old and when I checked the tread depth they are at 60% tread left. In no way needed new tires for another 20-30K miles. As well as working on cars for the past 25 years...I have never been told or heard advice to keep your best tread on the rear of a front wheel drive vehicle. You need your best for steering and power. This smells of a very dishonest practice and meant to take advantage of people who don't know better. Aside from that their techs do a great job and torque everything to spec which is great practice. But I question their management and sales team greatly!!! read more

Donovan was very condescending and rude when my family did not want to go with the discount tire brand. We had already paid for tires and he wanted us to switch. I will give him credit, he did want me to leave with tires that would keep me safe but he was not very kind. He also told me that only one of my tires was at the legal limit and needed to be changed. When talking with my father on the phone he told him that three of them needed to be changed. Additionally, it was the end of the day and they did not give me an alignment with my tire change and told me I'd have to come in another time because they were closing. Doesn't seem very safe to me. Ended up costing us $242 extra dollars. As a woman, I did not feel safe being there by myself with 5 men that were upset they had to stay after 6 PM. I insisted on sitting outside to wait for my car. It was not a good experience and I do not recommend to other women. read more

If you ever find yourself in need of tire/wheel service, please visit Austin, Thomas & team at Discount Tire in Alpharetta (or any location!) They were such a blessing to me today. I got a flat tire 51 miles away from home. I arrived at the tire shop at 5 PM, they closed at 6 and all bays were full and no appointments available. Austin (Senior Mgr) assured me they would look at my car before they closed if I could wait. They got to it rather quickly... GOOD NEWS: I had the road hazard warranty, a new replacement tire will be covered - no charge BAD NEWS: my tire size out of stock, needs to be ordered (but...I don't live nearby) GOOD NEWS: we patched your tire & over inflated it...you can drive about 50 miles before it will go flat BAD NEWS: I was 51 miles away from home. The whole team then sprung into action to help me...they came up with several potential solutions and ultimately Thomas installed a run flat to make sure I got home safely. Austin went above and beyond and called another location closer to my home...and had them order a replacement tire for me...the same kind I had originally (that went flat). All of this was done after hours...they stayed an hour past closing just to help me & make sure I was safe. I read about Discount Tires history and the founder Bruce T. Halle would be proud to know that the same philosophy he used in 1960 to transform his 1 shop (with an inventory of 6 tires!) into a thriving business "through respect, fairness, and a willingness to always pay it forward," is alive and well and still present 62 years later! My daughter's tire had a nail in it. I called around to find availability and pricing on her tire, and Discount Tire gave me a no haggle great price with no pressure or bs. The tire was ordered, Discount Tire followed up with a call saying the tire was in, and the tire was installed two days later. The complete transaction was the way it should be, and my daughter's car was on its way, with both me and my daughter happy. It's amazing how often a simple purchase like this can get messed up these days. That's the reason for the review. While the prices may be good. Their scheduling is certainly lacking. In addition, I found out doing my own research while waiting over two hours that there was $110 rebate on the tires that I ordered that they did not offer me. That in addition to their poor, scheduling and excessive wait time I got a refund and will take my business somewhere else. I had a tire replaced several months ago, and had all four wheels balanced at the time. Recently, I discovered bad vibration in the wheels. I popped in to Discount Tire on my way past, and "complained". It really wasn't much of a complaint, though, because Joshua simply said, "No problem. We'll fix it." He squeezed me in, and I had a very nice lunch next door at Cracker. Steel while I waited. What's NOT to love about this place? Answer: The name. we love our local Woodstock discount tire so we booked an appointment to inspect tires. My wife came out here with a screw in her tire. She said they claimed it was non-puncturing they wrapped up her visit and she left. What she didn't realize and what I didn't realize until she got home was they left the screw in the tire... I ran water on it and it was in fact punctured. I ended up taking it elsewhere for removal and an eventual patch as the screw was significantly longer than it appears. Why they would leave a screw in a tire is beyond me. Puncturing or not it needs to be removed. This is the last time we come to Alpharetta discount tire not a good experience. read more

They never mentioned that they couldn't do alignment when we purchased tires, now we have to go and get that done separate. They also told me it would take just over an hour with an appointment, which we made, but it took 3 hours. They called to let me know it was ready, and when I arrived I had to wait another 25 minutes just to get my keys! I will not be back! not worth saving a few bucks , Ill go back to Mavis. read more

This discount tire is always fairly busy. Normally, that would be a bad thing, but in my personal opinion, it specifically reflects the quality of work that this location gives. I'm not sure if the other locations are this good, but I don't ever really want to take the chance. These guys are always fair and often times don't even charge for quick fixes. On Friday I made an 11:15 appt for Saturday morning to have one tire patched due to a nail. Arrived at 11:10 and by 12:10 they still had not taken my car into a bay. Being that it is relatively new (less than a year old) it is cleaner than most hospital operating rooms. The waiting room is spacious with lots of natural light and offers coffee and bottled water. I've been here several times, purchasing two sets of tires for two different vehicles as well as custom wheels. They will work with you to order whatever you need (if not already in stock) at a competitive price and will keep you updated on shipping status. They are a no frills tire shop and only deal in new tires, tire repairs and custom wheels. They don't do any other auto related repairs which is good that they specialize in just a few items and do them quite well. They are quick and will get you in and out. Called ahead. They weren't busy and said there wasn't a wait. Said it wouldn't be more than an hour to rotate tires and check a slow leak. Told them I was ten minutes away and arrived at 2:40. There was one person in front of me. Shortly after I got a text and said my arrival window was 3:39 to 3:59 - AN HOUR AFTER I ARRIVED and gave them my keys! And time to complete was 4:34 - TWO hours after I showed up. When I noticed my car was still in the same spot after 3:30, I asked if they were done and they hadn't even started. Yet the woman in front of me was already in her car and driving away. Must have been those skin tight bright pink hot pants and stilettos that got her prompt service. And they were pulling other cars in the bays while mine still sat there. I've always gone to DA for tires and wheels on hwy 9, and they were great, but now closed. I'll pay to have someone else take care of my DA tires before I ever go back to this customer serviceless store. read more

At 2:30, one hour waiting, I could not waited anymore come told him that I got an appointment 1:30 but my car even not started yet. 15 minutes late they started do my car. Pulled up to their check-in station for my appointment and no one came out. After seeing other people pull in and park and go inside; I figured out that was the thing to do. After waiting in a long line, I was able to get my car set for a rotate and balance. Unfortunately, in their rush to complete my car; Discount Tire overtightened and stripped one of the bolts on my tires, so that when I went to the Discount Tire in Marietta 6 months later for my next rotation, they had to remove the entire stud to get the tire off, which I had to pay to get replaced. Make sure you keep copies of your reservation confirmation, as Discount Tire is no longer giving out receipts just for a rotate and balance. I would not recommend this location as it is so busy they may not be able to spend the time necessary to perform the service on your car properly. read more
