Discount tire damaged my AMG wheel, handed car back as if nothing happened. When I bought it back the next morning to point out the damage they tried to put it off on me as if I scraped up the wheel after I left the shop. The picture clearly shows in the picture the condition of the wheel before and after. The picture is time stamped and taken about 4 days apart. I took the before picture to get the tire size to order the tires online and book an appointment. The picture clearly shows a gouge all the way around the wheel, with grease marks in spots. This type of damage could not have been caused by hitting a curb. There are no scuff marks on the tire consistent with the wheel damage. The person at Discount Tire I spoke to took pictures and submitted my information to a third party company called Fleet Response. A company with a F rating with the BBB and poor Google rating, so I didn't expect anything good. I chased them down after 2 1/2 weeks: The guy from Fleet Response finally called and said claim denied, just as expected. I held back on providing my review of this business pending how they handle this situation. I am very disappointed. Problem occurring at the store should be handled by the store where I made the purchase, not by a 3rd party claims denier sitting in another State. The technician put solvent in the grooves to make it looked age. What a shame read more

I am writing this to warn others to check their itemized receipts closely. I explicitly requested a specific tire model, but they altered my order to a much higher-priced tire without my authorization. When I caught the billing discrepancy on the itemized receipt, they did correct it, but they added on the tire certificates which were not on my invoice before. The overall experience was incredibly deceptive. The front-counter staff exhibited completely unprofessional behavior. While I was in the store deciding over the phone with a parent about what tire to get, they were whispering and laughing excessively right in front of me. The disrespect continued even when I called this location; right after he corrected my invoice, he was caught laughing out loud because he thought he had hung up the phone on me. read more

These people would say anything to get you to buy a new tire. I simply needed a repair on my left front tire and the representative said my thread is a 3 so he cannot repair. "You need to buy a new tire." You guys are money hungry. I don't recommend. read more

I went to another tire place and they told me my leak couldn't be fixed and i needed new tires. Said i only had about 1000 miles of tread left. I was shocked but they said EVs go thru tires very quickly. Anyway went to Discount and they not only fixed my tire for free they said i had about 5000 more miles of tread life. Wow, always had good service from here, three times over past 2 years... Not this week. Long wait to get checked in, priced and check in my car. Then they called me 3 hours later to have me drop off my car. I said it's already in your lot and you have my keys. The next day nothing from them thus I called at 11am (5 minute wait on hold). Then they again could not find my car, two more minutes of dead air. Oh found it, it's done. We then completed our call. I came here to get a new tire after getting a nail in the side wall of my current one. When I came in the guy checked out my wheels telling me I needed to get all of them replaced to which I refused and said I just wanted to get a new one for what I needed. Then when I was paying for the one tire he said it would be $330!?! I then asked to see his computer to see the breakdown and magically and it was 280 to which he responded that "the system messed up" and then I had to ask for the mandatory warranty on the tire because I originally bought it from this company. After "checking" and "making sure" he added the base warranty to make the total cost $252. So yeah make sure you know what your paying for if you come here because they will try to up-charge you if your not aware. Went from $330 to $252. read more

Chris at Discount Tire helped me get the tires ordered and there by 2:30 PM. Then they worked me in and in 4 hours I was completely on the road! They were busy and did not flench. **BEWARE**SCAM** Came in with my car to have tires rotated and balanced. I was informed that my tread was at a "4" on 3 of my tires and a "5" on the other and needed all 4 replaced soon. They even recommended to keep the best tire on the rear. The issue: tires are only 25K miles old and when I checked the tread depth they are at 60% tread left. In no way needed new tires for another 20-30K miles. As well as working on cars for the past 25 years...I have never been told or heard advice to keep your best tread on the rear of a front wheel drive vehicle. You need your best for steering and power. This smells of a very dishonest practice and meant to take advantage of people who don't know better. Aside from that their techs do a great job and torque everything to spec which is great practice. But I question their management and sales team greatly!!! read more

Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I got two brand new tires from this location. When I left my car was shaking and rattling I knew something was off. I brought it the next day, they said it was their bad they weighed it wrong. Ok.. back on the interstate STILL rattling. I took the car to another location and they found out the inside of the tire was practically broken to pieces (I'm not a car genius but something to do with the tire piece to reduce noise when driving). I got a flat tire 51 miles away from home. I arrived at the tire shop at 5 PM, they closed at 6 and all bays were full and no appointments available. Austin (Senior Mgr) assured me they would look at my car before they closed if I could wait. They got to it rather quickly... GOOD NEWS: I had the road hazard warranty, a new replacement tire will be covered - no charge BAD NEWS: my tire size out of stock, needs to be ordered (but...I don't live nearby) GOOD NEWS: we patched your tire & over inflated it...you can drive about 50 miles before it will go flat BAD NEWS: I was 51 miles away from home. The whole team then sprung into action to help me...they came up with several potential solutions and ultimately Thomas installed a run flat to make sure I got home safely. Austin went above and beyond and called another location closer to my home...and had them order a replacement tire for me...the same kind I had originally (that went flat). All of this was done after hours...they stayed an hour past closing just to help me & make sure I was safe. I read about Discount Tires history and the founder Bruce T. Halle would be proud to know that the same philosophy he used in 1960 to transform his 1 shop (with an inventory of 6 tires!) into a thriving business "through respect, fairness, and a willingness to always pay it forward," is alive and well and still present 62 years later! Donovan was very condescending and rude when my family did not want to go with the discount tire brand. We had already paid for tires and he wanted us to switch. I will give him credit, he did want me to leave with tires that would keep me safe but he was not very kind. He also told me that only one of my tires was at the legal limit and needed to be changed. When talking with my father on the phone he told him that three of them needed to be changed. Additionally, it was the end of the day and they did not give me an alignment with my tire change and told me I'd have to come in another time because they were closing. Doesn't seem very safe to me. Ended up costing us $242 extra dollars. As a woman, I did not feel safe being there by myself with 5 men that were upset they had to stay after 6 PM. I insisted on sitting outside to wait for my car. It was not a good experience and I do not recommend to other women. read more

My daughter's tire had a nail in it. I called around to find availability and pricing on her tire, and Discount Tire gave me a no haggle great price with no pressure or bs. The tire was ordered, Discount Tire followed up with a call saying the tire was in, and the tire was installed two days later. The complete transaction was the way it should be, and my daughter's car was on its way, with both me and my daughter happy. While the prices may be good. Their scheduling is certainly lacking. In addition, I found out doing my own research while waiting over two hours that there was $110 rebate on the tires that I ordered that they did not offer me. That in addition to their poor, scheduling and excessive wait time I got a refund and will take my business somewhere else. I had a tire replaced several months ago, and had all four wheels balanced at the time. Recently, I discovered bad vibration in the wheels. I popped in to Discount Tire on my way past, and "complained". It really wasn't much of a complaint, though, because Joshua simply said, "No problem. We'll fix it." we love our local Woodstock discount tire so we booked an appointment to inspect tires. My wife came out here with a screw in her tire. She said they claimed it was non-puncturing they wrapped up her visit and she left. What she didn't realize and what I didn't realize until she got home was they left the screw in the tire... I ran water on it and it was in fact punctured. I ended up taking it elsewhere for removal and an eventual patch as the screw was significantly longer than it appears. Why they would leave a screw in a tire is beyond me. Puncturing or not it needs to be removed. This is the last time we come to Alpharetta discount tire not a good experience. read more

Being that it is relatively new (less than a year old) it is cleaner than most hospital operating rooms. The waiting room is spacious with lots of natural light and offers coffee and bottled water. The staff are knowledgeable and honest and will offer you different tire options to suit your budget. I've been here several times, purchasing two sets of tires for two different vehicles as well as custom wheels. They will work with you to order whatever you need (if not already in stock) at a competitive price and will keep you updated on shipping status. They are a no frills tire shop and only deal in new tires, tire repairs and custom wheels. They don't do any other auto related repairs which is good that they specialize in just a few items and do them quite well. They are quick and will get you in and out.
