I worked directly with Ethan and Dallin--both were friendly, communicative, and professional throughout the process.

I see suboptimal reviews of CW on this site, which amazes me as I found them awesome. VERY long…read morestory short--bought ancient house a yr+ ago and original backdoor was deteriorating and hanging from a hinge. Initially went the Habitat/Preservation Station route to find vintage replacement. Those are terrific places--I love them! But no doors that fit were available. Started calling carpenters, numerous handymen, and wood-workers. Only half called back and when they came out, seemed interested but then I never heard from them again. A year (and cold winter!) went by with "hole-y" door so unstable it dragged on floor. Recently, after an East Nash neighbor was delivered a CW door, I called Paul at CW, visited their office on Melrose, and Paul spent ample time discussing options. Left with an estimate and names of a few installers CW recommends. Today--a year after this miserable search began, but only a few weeks after finding CW, my new door (plus transom) was installed. Wood, minimalist (like I wanted), and functional. I wish I had gone to CW a year ago. Note: you don't have to use installers CW recommends--I chose to as I was in a hurry and they (The Door Guys) promptly answered phone calls, which is a rarity right now. So here is new door--not yet painted (will do that myself), and window shade came from old door. But a very very welcomed sight. I cannot recommend CW enough.

The latching door warped like a banana and so that we have it taped up through the winter awaiting installation of another door from a new manufacture. The factory rep. (Joey) told me the door was installed improperly causing the warp and that the gap at the top of the door (allowing wind and rain through) was within tolerances. Also pointed out that the top of the door hadn't been painted. So basically, it too bad, so sad for me. I won't be buying from them again.

Had a couple cracked panes and couldn't find a replacement window anywhere. So glad I came across…read morethese guys. Came back few days later and it looked like new. They also helped me with replacing the tilt latches and replacing the balances which she had to order out of a catalog. Doesn't seem they up charged, either. Probably spent 1/3 the price even if there was a replacement window. Highly recommend!

Short version: My $355 glass replacement turned into an $1800 glass replacement…read more Long version: I am giving a two star review and not a one star review because the two women who work at the front desk were very polite and responsive. The delivery team of two men was also kind and professional however the glass maker was probably one of the rudest individuals I have ever encountered. I called All Star Glass to see what their typical wait time for replacing a piece of glass was and they notified me 24-48 hours. After reading the Google reviews it seemed that this was the norm for them. This was important to me because I dropped the glass off on a Monday and needed it by the latest Thursday because I had a flight out of Nashville at the end of the week. I also didn't want to not have a front window for my living room for the entire week especially when I was not there. No worries however because I was told it would be done Tuesday. After receiving no update on my glass, I called them back and was told it would be done the next day (Wednesday). After again receiving no update on Wednesday, I called again and was told it would be done Thursday. By the time Thursday rolled around I called back and was told it would be done Friday even though I made it clear early in the week that I had a flight to catch. When I called Thursday, the woman at the front desk handed the phone over to the glass maker who immediately started yelling and getting very angry, telling me that NO ONE told me the glass would be done in 24-48 hours (just read the other comments. This seems to be the norm) and that HE told me it would be done Friday (I would have never agreed to this in the first place considering I had a flight and wouldn't be able to get the glass on Friday). The glass maker continuously called me a liar, yelling at me, threatening to hang up and not make the glass, saying that no one told me 24-48 hours despite the fact that I was told MULTIPLE times that this is how long the order would take. I tried being cordial as I shared my frustrations of needing to now change my flight but the glass maker didn't care, continuing to throw personal jabs and calling me a liar, referring me to the worst customer he has ever dealt with. Every time I tried calming him down (because I really did need the glass) he continued throwing personal shots at me. Very unprofessional. $355 for glass and $1500 later for having to change flights at the last second, the glass is installed. I would strongly recommend that the owner of All Star Glass gets a new glass maker as the current one is not well.

Understanding there are challenges with installations, the was no communication until the morning of the install other than a call to cancel due to preceded weather. Our windows look fabulous but our front door not so much. If I was rating windows it would be 4.75 stars (2 windows arrived broken ) but for doors I'd give 1 star. Nicole salesperson 5 stars ! Although , we paid in FULL up front for a slight discount we were told that it would be completed to customer satisfaction. "Don't worry" they stated. Unfortunately , that is not the case? Our front door has a large gap 3/8 inch around the entire perimeter of the door on the inside although the outside appears correct. The door also measures much smaller (several inch difference)than our original solid wood door which seems odd and no one seems to be able to explain why. According to install papers : CHECK SLAB TO FRAME MARGINS - INTERIOR Achieve and maintain a 1⁄8" to 3⁄16" margin, all corners. Again , ours is 3/8 around perimeter. Sadly , the people who can do something (help customer) leave money on the table if they agree with the consumer? They are paid upon job completion so definitely a conflict of interest. Installers are paid at the end of the install . They take photos and submit to Pella for reimbursement. The door rep and installer says that's the way that door is. It's the max space allowed by manufacturer standard. Not sure why customer would want almost a half inch gap around their door but that's what we were told. The several installers 6-8 on install days felt it too was off. They tried adjusting for hours but it just didn't fit properly until a supervisor came and said ; no it's correct Funny , he is the one who measured originally? The install team was professional , hardworking and precise. Immediately , (day of install) we reached out to our salesperson Nicole who was terrific throughout the process of selections. She referred us to Johnathan (manager) who we reached out too as well. He said he would get back to us but sadly did not until I reached out again today. (Several weeks passed and no contact) He too never came to look at our door ? Asking for an amicable solution he had none. He stated the door is cut by machine ? I guess machines don't make errors? He claimed that he has never had anyone mention the gap and his only solution was to move door to one side which would make gap much larger on other side? We asked for a discount or new different door? He said ; no! Anyways , he said nothing can be done. I would definitely look elsewhere for doors. Again , windows seem solid. We cannot in good faith recomend Pella for any doors especially front doors. Please look at photos. The quality and sizing is off and very disappointed to say the least Our front door looks awful from the inside. Buyer beware !
