The owner of the company showed up. His name is Jason, He was very , personable and knowledgeable. We discussed what my security concerns and goals were, Jason took his time and did a thorough walk through explaining potential security vulnerabilities that I overlooked, more importantly advised me on the lack of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in my home. He also pointed out that my existing security system is hooked up to the telephone line which in the event of a burglary can be cut. New technology runs on cellular networks. I never knew home security was can be so in depth. Jason opened my eyes to all these potential threats. Out of all the security companies that showed up for estimates, Jason was the only one who came with a demo. It was great to be able to see and touch the products before I made a purchase. After careful consideration, I decided that Jtech was a good fit for my family and home. I upgraded my existing system for a new smart home security system. The main panel is touch screen and visually intuitive. The best part is that I can totally control it from my Iphone or computer, not only does it control my alarm but it is also connected my cameras, lighting, thermostats, garage doors and front/back door locks in my home . If I forget to turn the thermostat down before I leave the house, it automatically goes down to a set temperature when I arm the system away. Making my home more energy efficient. My favorite part is that I can keep an eye on my baby and pets anytime from work. I can also let people into my home such as the dog walker or contractor...all from my phone. I do not have to give out my alarm codes anymore or make copies of keys which can be duplicated or lost. I am so happy that I got this system. For months, I was dealing with a zone that was suffering from voltage spikes and producing false alarms left and right. I called my monitoring company to do repairs. First, they sent someone out to replace a contact (even though that was clearly not the issue) and billed me for hours of troubleshooting, then I was stuck calling back in countless times trying to reach the "right" person to resolve my issue - all while having 2 to 3 false alarms per day! Finally, I got fed up and called Catskill Security Systems. I called them and - boom - got a service appointment the very next day. Joe came out and diagnosed my rather complex issue with ease.
