Under Virginia state law (Code § 46.2-1209), you are exempt from owing fees if your car is stolen and you come to claim it within 5 days. However, this information was kept from me (I arrived on the 4th day) and I was forced to pay the fees with my car held hostage by this unethical and predatory company. Three years ago my Hyundai was stolen by a stupid kid and I suffered financially because I was working 3 jobs and two of them required driving. I couldn't pay rent and I had to starve. My car gets recovered and towed unfortunately by these criminals. I literally did not have the money since I suffered a financial loss. But the ugly black girl who runs the front desk thought it was funny and was laughing at my misfortune because extortion is hilarious apparently. I had to get a loan from my employee just to get my car back. I hope every single asshole in this establishment starves and becomes homeless for the trauma and hardship they put me through. These pieces of shit shouldn't be allowed to run a business especially with their sketchy practices. Rot in hell. read more

Extremely Unprofessional and Unclear Business Practices!!! October 2025, my car was towed by Mid Atlantic Towing in Woodbridge for partially blocking a driveway. I take full responsibility for that mistake; but the way this company handled the situation was completely unacceptable. When I called to find out how to get my car back, I was told the total was over $300, mostly because they claimed my car was "abandoned" even though it had only been parked for less than 12 hours. I confirmed with the PWCPD responding officer and dispatch that they did not relay that information to them, leading me to waste an entire day figuring out where the source of that information was, especially as I was told the "abandoned vehicle towing fee" is $256. However when I asked for an itemized invoice, I was told I was "reading too far into everything." Every time I asked a reasonable question, I was met with attitude, dismissal, or deflection instead of transparency. No one, at any point could produce any real form of documentation that one would reasonably expect to be readily available for this kind of business. The sad part is that even the responding officer told me that they "don't really document" these types of towings in full detail, which further lent itself to my overall dismay. The next morning (Monday), I went to their office at 8:30 am(which says it opens at 8:00 a.m.), but no one showed up until almost 8:50 a.m. My calls went unanswered and were eventually blocked yet when my friend called immediately after, someone picked up right away. When the staff member finally arrived, she was rude, confrontational, and unprofessional, making personal remarks like, "I see why they towed your car," and "I would've towed you too." She even said that the owner had "warned her" about me and that staff had been discussing my case, undoubtedly in a negative way based on how she treated me right out of the gate. All I wanted was my car back and a breakdown of the charges. I stayed calm and polite, paid the full amount without issue, but never received a proper invoice: just one vague "abandoned towing" charge that has already been proven verifiably incorrect by anyone with common sense enough to realize that it's impossible to have abandoned my perfectly working vehicle in front of someone's else's driveway for less than 12 hours. Later, the Prince William County Tow Coordinator confirmed that Mid Atlantic is supposed to have staff on-site during their posted hours, which clearly wasn't the case. This experience was frustrating, disrespectful, and honestly concerning given that they're a county-contracted towing company. I'm sharing this so others know what to expect and so the county can take a closer look at how this business operates. To Mid Atlantic: being in a tough industry is no excuse for treating people this way. How you speak to and handle taxpayers in a county capacity matters especially when you're working under public contracts. This is a situation that could have turned much more sour for your business if I was someone who had the time and energy to invest in a more thorough form of restitution for my inconvenience. I hope this company seriously rethinks how it trains its staff and handles public interactions because otherwise it's only a matter of time until they treat the wrong person this way and they take it further than I did. read more

Excellent service by Mid Atlantic! The dispatch was friendly, informative, helpful and contacted Mark, the driver to let him know we might need assistance with getting the vehicle out of park. He arrived on time and with the right tow truck for the job. Mark was friendly and made a point of moving the vehicle to the driveway taking steps to ensure it was loaded and unloaded safely without any damage to the vehicle. He positioned it exactly where we requested. All around great customer service and attention to detail. I called to make arrangements and was verbally abused by this woman! She was so rude, yelled at me and then hung up on me and said "you need to figure this out on your own"! I got into a car accident in 2024, this is the company that was called to get my car. When the driver got to the scene I ASKED how much would I be charged for towing, he gave a set price and I understood. Fast forward to me actually going to the "company office", I was told that I would have to pay a storage fee, a tow fee, AND and admin fee. I was confused at first because I told one thing by the driver but all of a sudden multiple fees are getting added on????? Thankfully *ONE* of the receptionists, AALIYAH, was very kind and caring. She was so nice and helped in the biggest way possible tackle the large amount of money that I owed! I genuinely appreciate her. If I could give her 10/10 I WOULD! However.... The other "receptionist" Courtney, was not helpful whatsoever, was not nice, very rude and cold. I got a voicemail from her claiming that she was trying to contact me for a "few weeks" (which was not true) about getting my car off the lot. She called me 14 days before they close their lot to tell me "You need to get your car, we close in 2 weeks". They also told me that I would not be able to remove my plates from my car to take them to the DMV, which was a LIE according to the DMV.. Moral of the story, stay away from this scamming company. My family and I have dealt with towing companies in the past, but they generally were not good experiences. That, however, is not the case with the Mid-Atlantic towing company in Woodbridge, VA. My wife was in an accident and had absolutely nothing but phrase for the gentleman that came to tow her vehicle. When we went their office, I met the gentlemen, and truly was a courteous friendly individual. I wish I had known he was the one that towed my wife's vehicle at the time, because I sincerely appreciated the kindness he showed my wife. Also, the young lady that worked in the office was just as courteous and helpful. Again, towing companies generally do not have best reputations for being helpful or considerate, so I thought it important to pass on our sincere appreciation for these individuals. read more

Today someone close to me was involved in a hit and run accident where she sustained several injuries. The suspect fled prior to police arrival and she had to be transported to the ER. Her car was disabled and towed away to mid Atlantic lot in Woodbridge. This information was provided to us in the ER by VSP. When we attempted to get her items from the car, the first tow worker was very professional and polite and advised us to sit in my car and wait for the head guy to get back. When he did, we attempted to speak to him from a distances over the loud engine of his truck and he began yelling at us and asking questions about an appointment. He wouldn't even let us ask question just kept yelling and not listening to what we where trying to ask. He then tells us to call and schedule an appointment and at that time we called the number and he picked up his phone and says your calling me. Then he tells us since we don't have an appointment we can't get her stuff and until later. read more
