We first contacted Total Home Solutions to find out why our A/C wasn't properly cooling the house,…read morethey came out that afternoon and fixed the issue. The cost was very reasonable and didn't feel like they were overcharging for their services. This week with the cold snap in MN our furnace was having issues with keeping the house warm. Called Troy at Total Home and he had Kevin come out that afternoon. The Condensate pump went out and tubes were plugged. Kevin had it fixed in a couple of hours, the pressure switches also had gotten wet and needed to be replace. Which if we didn't have the best furnace these may have been cheaper but with the pump and switches the price that they billed us was still very reasonable. I know that when we have our A/C unit replaced that I will be calling them to provide the services. They are awesome, come out when called, the work is always good and Kevin is great!

I needed a new furnace and got a number of great quotes. I went with the contractor who made me feel the most confident and that was Total Home Solutions. Troy answered all my questions thoroughly and then some. He also gave me some terrific price options and was able to schedule me in quickly. Troy and his crew arrived on time, and installed my new furnace, in a rather tight area, in no time and left my furnace area spotless. I can't thank Total Home Solutions enough, or rate them high enough.

RUN AWAY DO NOT USE THEM THEY ARE SCAMMERS…read more If I could give zero and turn these guys in I would. On January 23, 2025, I had a technician from Metro come to inspect my furnace, which was not functioning properly. The technician ran several tests, showing me that the furnace was not operating as expected. He claimed that the original installers had improperly set up the unit, then identified a huge air leak and adjusted the gas pressure. He also noted that my temperature levels were dangerously high, which he described as a failure and cause for worry. After making adjustments to the system, the technician told me that the furnace would continue to run inefficiently until it eventually failed, he also did something to cause my humidifier to leak all over, citing the improper installation as the cause. The technician also informed me that I would need to replace the unit entirely, which seemed unwarranted, as the furnace is only about two years old. Also told me it would be almost 12k for a new one or a cleaning and seal for almost 4k. When I scheduled the inspection online, the website clearly stated a $60 diagnostic fee. However, when the technician presented the bill, I was charged $215. Upon questioning the discrepancy, the technician explained that the $60 fee applied only if a part were replaced, labeling the work he did as a "quick fix" rather than a diagnostic service, despite the coupon's terms indicating it covered diagnostic repair. The whole reason I scheduled with them was because of the 60$ ON THE SAME DAY, I had the original installer come to assess the furnace. After the bad tech told me the furnace was installed improperly. He immediately came out no charge. He explained that the issue was simply that the damper fins were closed, which prevented proper airflow. He corrected this and addressed the gas pressure issue. The technician confirmed that the previous technician's actions--turning up the gas pressure--would have likely caused long-term damage and elevated CO2 levels, putting my family's health at risk. The installer also stated that a simple cleaning and adjustment of the fins would have resolved the issue, without the need for any major repairs or a full replacement. I have photos of the coupon, the invoice, and evidence of the inaccurate statements made by the technician. It won't allow me to upload the invoice nor the service information that was done. I uploaded the pictures. These guys are dangerous.

Not to mention the job was not completed and no other company wanted to touch their giant mistake. The real kicker is when we called them about our soggy ceiling sink the disaster pan was overfilling they denied any water damage( I have this phone call recorded) it took three years of fighting with the home reality company CINCH (also goes by sears home warranty) who assigned us to General Heating and AC. Cinch is another huge problem assigning work to companies that are not competent at the job, after fighting with them for many summers they only agreed to pay for half of the very costly reinstall of the unit! Our home owners insurance went up due to this, we had no AC for three summers. General heatings team of Cheryl and Zac are extremely unprofessional. Zac admitted this was only the second high velocity unit he had installed which showed some there was a plethora of things done wrong. This company has caused me endless headaches, hours on the phone, and thousands of dollars down the hole, if you are assigned to them from a home warranty company for the love of God request to be placed with a different company! Finally getting this review out since we can finally say we have working AC due to the wonderful company Binder Heating and AC. I don't know how to stress this enough especially if you have a high velocity unit so not book this company!

We continued to talk about the issue. He walked me through where the problem most likely was, leading to a blown fuse. And sure enough with a new $6 fuse, the furnace works! Brian truly went above and beyond in helping me with this. He was quick to respond, and most of all knowledgeableand and helpful. Came out for an estimate, and of the four companies that gave us quotes, Groff offered the best price for the best furnace and the quickest timeline. Everyone was friendly, professional, and clean. The new one works like a charm and our house is warm again. Hopefully we'll never need them for another furnace as long as we live in the home, but would use them again if needed and recommend to others.

We have their service contract & have been very satisfied with the semi-annual maintenance of our aging HVAC system. Last October they replaced our entire system with a 97% efficient furnace, air conditioner, & humidifier. I was extremely impressed with how Chris managed the design and installation of the new system. The new system was bigger & space was limited, but Chris custom fabricated parts so everything fit together perfectly. It's kind of crazy, but now when I walk into my utility room I take a second to admire Chris's work, it's part HVAC & part art. To top it all off Chris & his wife Megan are both very nice, honest, no drama, no BS, no lying & Cheating. The kind of people that my wife & I like to do business with. Jeff & Kathy Bryan

I mentioned that we didn't need an emergency visit and he fit me in his schedule for the next morning, quoting $175 for the service call. After diagnosing an electrical short in the contactor, he left to pick up a replacement part, and finished the job that same day. At no point, before or during the repair, was I given a total cost estimate outside of the initial $175 or a chance to approve the total job amount prior to completion. It was shocking, then, that the final invoice came out to $800: a $175 diagnostic fee, two hours of labor at $175/hour, and a $275 charge for a part (contactor) that retails for $50 or less. In addition, I wasn't given an invoice upon completion of the job, but rather I had to ask for it twice afterward. If any part of this review gives you pause, I'd consider taking your business elsewhere.
