We have their service contract & have been very satisfied with the semi-annual maintenance of our aging HVAC system. Last October they replaced our entire system with a 97% efficient furnace, air conditioner, & humidifier. I was extremely impressed with how Chris managed the design and installation of the new system. The new system was bigger & space was limited, but Chris custom fabricated parts so everything fit together perfectly. It's kind of crazy, but now when I walk into my utility room I take a second to admire Chris's work, it's part HVAC & part art. He was very kind and thorough about talking me through what he was finding as he took the unit apart. After that, we went into my house and he gave me a rundown on what I could do to increase my AC capacity and how I could better control the air flow in my home since it is a unique split level. The service fee for him to come out was $99 which is about average in the metro area for a technician to come out. If you know of a place that does it for cheaper, message me! I think for him to come out and do a diagnostic and then give me some tips for the next 15 - 20 minutes was worth my investment. Now I know what I have to do (replace my AC unit) and I know a little bit more of what I should be shopping around for. A friend of ours recommended Prior Lake Heating & Air Conditioning, and they came within three hours and had diagnosed and fixed the issue in another 15 minutes. Scott also spent time talking to us about potential issues we might run into with this furnace which was much appreciated. We aren't normally in their service area but they agreed to stop by since they were in the area and my cold toes and hands are grateful!

I had 3 bids and these guys are the only ones who did an analysis and who recommended a boiler quite a bit smaller than what they were replacing. It was installed last fall and did an amazing job keeping the house warm over the winter, and it did better than the old one with lots more BTUs. Their price was middle of the pack but they sold me on their effort and working with me to get it done how I wanted it. Very friendly and excellent work. And we also love the new water heater.

I didn't have to rely on their say-so; the evidence was in right in front of me. They explained the issues with my old furnace and discussed options tailored to my house and needs. At no time did I feel pressured to buy an expensive new furnace; their service reps shared information and I made the decisions. The estimator discussed options and alternatives with me, giving me information to make the decision about which brand to replace my old one with. Within 10 minutes I got a call from Brian. He was beyond helpful and went above and beyond in helping me. He told Me they were closed today, that he could come out tomorrow, and he asked me what the problem was. I told him what the issue was, and told him I have some knowledge as an electrician. We continued to talk about the issue. He walked me through where the problem most likely was, leading to a blown fuse. And sure enough with a new $6 fuse, the furnace works! Brian truly went above and beyond in helping me with this. He was quick to respond, and most of all knowledgeableand and helpful. Came out for an estimate, and of the four companies that gave us quotes, Groff offered the best price for the best furnace and the quickest timeline. A few days later, they came back for installation. It took about 4-5 hours including complete set up, removal of the old furnace, and some quick paperwork for a rebate. Everyone was friendly, professional, and clean. The new one works like a charm and our house is warm again. Hopefully we'll never need them for another furnace as long as we live in the home, but would use them again if needed and recommend to others.
