I spoke to Shelby about it extensively in mid 2018, and she was able to give me honest feedback with the state of my eyebrows / surrounding skin. As this was a facial tattoo, I was a bit on the fence about this procedure, but Shelby was so thorough with the information surrounding the process that I felt comfortable enough to proceed. I ended up getting my eyebrows done by Shelby in late 2018, and while I am writing this review retroactively, the current state of my eyebrows definitely do speak for themselves. Fading is expected with micro blading, and while it has been over 4 years since I had it done, the initial structure that Shelby had formed has stayed strong. As I no longer live in the Davis / Sacramento area, I have thought of getting touched up by other folks over the years, but I feel that I may not be able to get the same care and attention (and confidence!) as I did from her work. I plan on making my way up to the Sacramento area soon to get a touch up on the brows and getting my lips blushed - and I trust no one other than Shelby to do a fab job on it! If you are on the fence about getting your eyebrows microbladed, I seriously cannot recommend anyone more. Aileen has refused to give me an refund and correct her work (without additional charge). I have posted the conversation between Aileen and I as well as pictures. Long story short: I scheduled with Aileen for touch up on my eyebrows to make them DARKER MORE BO $195 (2 HOURS) I was coming from San Francisco which would be an 1hour 15min drive. In the middle of driving to get to the appointment she calls me and ask if I can reschedule my appointment suggest I go to the mall or dinner until 6pm because she had an family emergency and double booked, I told her no as I have children and my sitter is only able to stay until 5pm. I admit I got to my appointment 15 minutes late due to traffic and getting lost she had to give me directions by phone as my gps wasn't working properly. I go in she seated me (NEVER MENTIONED TIME) she numbed me/got set up with equipment (10 minutes )and proceeded to work on my eyebrows. (20 minutes)Her next appointment literally walks in while I'm getting my eyebrows done and she begins to start rushing and literally 5 minutes of them waiting she says "i'm finishing up now" to the lady waiting! I'm thinking whoa what it's only been 20 minutes she can't possibly be done the website says 2HOURS ! I get up and look at the work and I tell her it looks really light and she says to wait till it heals to see the outcome. I'm not a professional so I trust her judgment and thank her for her service TIP and leave ! So 7 days go by it has now healed and I send her pictures that my eyebrows are noticeably light and dark in a lot of spots making it look strange. She says wait 2 weeks until it fully heals (before I left the shop she said 7 days). I wait the two weeks and she ignores my texts messages!? Finally I text again with pictures and she responds saying her daughter has Covid and to wait another 2 weeks I'm sympathetic so I understand and I do so ! Again I text her two weeks later ! No reply so now I'm frustrated and tired of being put off ! So I text her with a little more frustration in my text tone...she responds to that with an attitude so now at this point I'm sick of her bull crap and tell her I want a refund because she rushed and because she worked on my eyebrows for only 20 minutes!!! I told her her website say 2HOURS so why did she only give me 20 minute work !! Her excuse was I was late ! I told her if that's the case I still should've been in your chair for 1 hour and 40 minutes it's ridiculous to take my money knowing you rushed and did a bs job ! The convo speaks alot about her character and I would not recommend. I was so hurt honestly because I love her work and she does amazing job, I really wanted her to take responsibility for her carelessness and correct it ! I love my brows! I chose to get the machine hair strokes and they look amazing!! Cindy was very…read morepatient with me. I came all the from San Francisco just to get my brows done and that says a lot. Especially since it was my first time ever getting my brows done. You really have to go to someone that you can trust and is willing to work with what brow shape you want, instead of what they think looks good on you! Cindy made sure I was comfortable and she also sanitized all her equipment, which is super important at times like this right now. The pain was actually very bearable. I like that she made sure I was okay with my brow shape before proceeding. After she was done, she gave me after care instructions for my brows. Cindy is such a sweetheart and very professional at her work! I will say this as a disclaimer: be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster for your brows because the day you get them done, they look amazing, but the brows are still healing and the very next day they were so dark lol. I can't wait to see how they look once they have fully healed and aren't scanning anymore. Don't be alarmed by how dark and patchy your brows will get, it's just a phase! I'm glad Cindy warned me about this. I wish my brows could look this good forever lol. Tip: It would save some time if you have a photo of how you want your brow shape to be. You can show Cindy a sample photo! Also let her know how you like your arch for your brows. I prefer mine to be more natural and not too square or boxy looking!
