Shawna was unprofessional, I was nervous when I first came in, she handed me a bunch of paperwork and walked off. During the micro blading process she played loud music, constantly answered her phone , and it was painful as hell and she never warned me that she wasn't going to numb my eyebrows. I understand that you have your own perspective on the appointment, but I want to clarify a few things. You did go over medical history and other information with me after handing me the paperwork, but my concern is that you could see that I was very nervous, yet instead of taking a moment to reassure me, you overwhelmed me with a lot of information at once, then you left me to sign all the paperwork. I didn't feel supported in my initial meeting with you. The issue with numbing was not that I expected a certain type of numbing agent. It was that during the appointment, my eyebrows were not numbed at all during the first pass and that was extremely painful, and I was not warned about it beforehand. You also answered your phone three times during the procedure to speak with your son, which I found distracting and unprofessional. You may not have found the music to be loud, but I did and was not asked about it. Afterwards, when I tried to schedule a follow up, you said you would call me in a few days but didn't. I eventually texted you today, and you told me what days you were available but no times. After waiting to hear back from you on a time to meet, I decided I no longer wanted to pursue the appointment. I'm not questioning that you may have intended the experience to be comfortable or relaxing. I am explaining that this was not my experience. I started looking for locations to look into getting my brows Microbladed. I found Brows Embroidered on Yelp (best reference tool ever to look for decent and good reviews) I got a quick response back from Shawna. I had my initial appointment set for May 30, as I started to ask and just see by chance if she would have any availability sooner, she told me that day was her only availability left. I was still shocked because of her places I've contacted are booked out 6 months in advanced. Later that day (Thursday 5/11) she sent me a message regarding a possible open spot at 12pm the following day (which would be for Friday 5/12). Her response time was so quick and to come to think of it... all this happened in one days time! I informed Shawna that I would not be able to make it at that time, but if she could see me at 1:30pm I'd be off from work already. She said she had an appointment at 2pm, I thought maybe I was just pushing my luck. Shawna said she'd get back to me by 12:30pm the following day, regarding the available slot time at noon didn't confirm, she'd squeeze me In last minute and I'd be her last appointment for that day. She was honest, her communication skills were straight forward and she was very courteous about letting me know that if she hadn't responded to my messages it would be because she was with a client. So come Friday 5/12 @12:30pm, she texted with she'd be able to see me at 6pm. I hadn't responded till 2 hours later, I had confirmed the appointment and she still kept it open for me. I was extremely appreciative of that. (Having to not do your eyebrows and having your brows microbladed as an option definitely would save me time, energy and trying get my girls to be even! I know your eyebrows aren't twins, but they're sisters. I struggled with always trying to get them perfect!). Anywho, that's why I was so excited because knowing that I would no longer have to draw them on anymore. So Friday came, we met, I felt as if I'd known her all my life, her vibe, her ora was nothing but good energy. Shawna went over the procedure, the pre and post care, cost, she took her time with me, I felt very at ease considering I wasn't too familiar with the area and didn't know if I was venturing into a sketchy part of town, which actually wasn't bad at all. Starting the procedure she placed the topical over my brows, I waited 20 mins as she went over the after care, we had a light conversation aside from the procedure. After the topical had set in, she had me lay down and started sketching the baseline for my brows. She was so patient with how I asked for her to lower the arch or heighten the arch, make the point perfect etc etc, such a perfectionist, I am. The procedure was minor, pain was minimal almost none to me (I've had ink work done before, microblading is nothing like the physical tattooing sensation of pain). She had taken before and after photos, I couldn't believe the difference, the full filled in wispy look of natural brows! I was glad I got it done and I was in such luck. When we got done, I paid and Shawna had gone over the post care again to touch up and express the importance of after care. Today is Day 3 of my brows, it's healing just fine and the new layers of skin are starting to come through! Thanks Shawna! I couldn't help but list every detail from start to finish with finding you and finishing up the process!!! I left out some pretty important things to come to think of it, the sterility of her equipment, sanitation which are all plus plus! The price, the price is way more reasonable than all of the other microblading shops that I've inquired to, you get what you pay for. I've had my eyebrows microbladed about 2 years ago back in Roseville. I wanted to find something around Fairfield and Vacaville so I didn't have to make the drive, I started to research around the area on Yelp, Facebook, Instagram using hashtags galore and just stumbled upon Brows Embroidered. I'm so glad I did. I read the reviews, stalked her IG and FB pages and went on her website. It only took me 1 week to consider going to Shawna. I loved what I saw on her social media pages and her website had a really good layout. I loved her logo too! Super cute and simple! I emailed and texted her and she was very quick to respond. I was able to get an appointment the same week. She was very accommodating with my work schedule. On the day of my appointment, I headed to the address. The building is right across from the Solano mall in the small medical plaza across the street. It was very easy to find and there is plenty of parking. There is a planned parenthood in the same plaza so there may be some protestors around but They were very peaceful and didn't bother me. As soon as I walked in, her office was very clean and tidy. It looks just like the pictures. She has an adorable family pic on the wall, which is what started our conversation. Shawna is so personable and easy to talk to. I felt very comfortable with her as soon as I walked in. She put on the numbing cream first then we just sat and spoke for about 15-20 minutes for it to sink in. After the numbing cream sat for a while, she cleaned up my bushy brows and measured them to set up a shape that complimented my face. She was very meticulous and you can tell she knew exactly what she was doing. She outlined the shape first before getting started and wanted to make sure I was happy with them before she continued. After the ok, we got started. The whole procedure from start to finish took about 1.5 hours. I've never had a tattoo but I've been told that the pain is comparable to getting one. This is my second time getting microbladed so I knew what to expect as far as pain. My explanation of the pain is scratching your eyebrow with your nail. The numbing cream really works and helps. I have a high tolerance for pain but when I pluck or mess with My eyebrows, I tend to sneeze. So we had to take a few breaks so I can get my "Achoos" in lol. Bottom line, if you want bomb brows, go see Shawna. She's the best in town, has very competitive prices and puts her all in perfecting your brows. I hardly ever write reviews on Yelp, but I was so happy with my experience at Brows Embroidered that I needed to write this review! I have struggled with overplucked brows ever since middle school (ugh, WHY did I ever succumb to that thin eyebrow trend as a pre-teen??), and spend so much time perfecting and filling in my brows everytime I go out. It's so time-consuming! When I learned about the microblading procedure that has got so much more attention recently, I was definitely intrigued. I did some research and found Brows Embroidered in Fairfield, and was won over by the reviews on Yelp. The website was also SO informative with lots of samples of Shawna's work, so I was eager to book an appointment ASAP! The website originally said they were booked until July (I reached out in early June), but luckily there were cancellations and Shawna found an open slot for me in June. I was psyched! Just a heads up -- prior to my procedure, Shawna requested cash only for payment so make sure you have the funds in time for your appointment. I had no idea what to expect when coming in, in terms of whether I had to describe the shape of the brows I wanted, but fortunately I left it all to Shawna to handle and I'm glad I trusted her. She knows what she is doing! The appointment consisted of her rubbing a numbing cream on my brows, which needed to stay on for 30 min. She then went over the paperwork and aftercare instructions carefully. Next, she cleaned up and trimmed my brows, then drew the shape and outline which I approved. She makes an effort to create a natural look, and used the shape of my brow bone as a guide. Then the procedure! It does sting a bit, and depending on your pain tolerance, and could be a little uncomfortable. But it wasn't bad at all. And it only took about 10 min total per brow! I was very happy with the end result, and EXTREMELY satisfied with the service. Shawna was so friendly and easy to talk to, willing to answer all questions, and is a perfectionist. Before booking an appointment, I did an unbelievable amount of research and comparison analysis of the before and after pictures and reviews. I wanted the most natural looking brows and refused to receive anything less. Shawna appeared to be THEE best in my area. I booked an appointment and anticipated the day to come. This was my first time microblading my brows and I was suuper nervous . I found Shawna on yelp and liked not only her before and after pictures of her work but also how comfortable ppl said she made them feel . Right away when I walked in for our first meeting she was very friendly . I had also explained to her that I've never been really good at putting on my own brows and showed her a picture of my everyday me . My brows were too dark and much to thin .
