A close friend of mine had gotten her eyebrows micro bladed by Sally, so I had to go! I am a child of the 80s and raised in the 90s. So yes, I butchered my thick eyebrows with plucking, waxing, shaving and threading to get the ideal shape I wanted. As someone with dark, sensitive skin as well, it was always hard to find the right treatment for shaping my eyebrows without leaving me with burn marks, or red bumps. Also with my dark complexion, it was a bit complicated to find the right eyebrow powder, pencil, pod to fill in my eyebrows as well. After seeing my friend Deanna's amazing eyebrows done by Sally, I contacted her office. Her husband Mat responded to me within 24 hours and did preface that they had appointments as far out as 3 months. This was about the average wait time for any micro blading business, and also common for tattoo parlors, if not longer. My appointment finally came and I was advised to not drink caffeine or alcohol beforehand. The caffeine was hard since I live off coffee in the morning, but SO worth it! The office is located 5 mins away from the freeway and has a parking lot so parking is easy. I was greeted by Mat at the front desk and filled out my paperwork. After completing my paperwork, Sally came out to greet me and we walked into a treatment room. Sally asked me which type of eyebrow style I wanted from the types she provides. I was a fan of the strokes and shading combo. Sally said that was a good choice and then went into detail of how she determines the perfect shape, size, thickness, and color of the eyebrows. After Sally drew out what she thought was the best shape and size for me, I was able to look at it and ask any questions or concerns that I had. Once we both decided on eyebrows, Sally got to work. Given my dark complexion with warm tones, Sally had to use a combination of colors that worked perfectly for my skin. While Sally was working her magic, Mat popped in and asked if I wanted anything from Starbucks since he knew I hadn't had any caffeine. HOW NICE! I have a high threshold for pain, so almost passed out while Sally added the shading and strokes. Once Sally was done, she did warn me that the color would be darker at first and as it heals, will lighten a little. When I saw the end product, I was extremely happy and very satisfied with what Sally did for me. As I checked out, Mat had my Starbucks drink ready for me at the reception desk. Where do I start?! This has been a complete nightmare for me, Sally totally ruined my microbladed brows (see pics). I found Sally on Instagram and thought her pictures looked good... big mistake ( I think it was more the quality of the photos that drew my attention). My natural brows were perfectly symmetrical (see pic) and she gave me asymmetrical brows, different shapes, one arch way off my natural brow line, one tail was much longer than the other and one arch way too high! A complete mess that has me depressed and not wanting to look in the mirror! I initially thought something was off when she was done but I thought I'd go home and really look in the mirror to judge them. I should have spoke up right away, not that it would have changed anything. I texted once I got home telling her how unhappy I was with how uneven they were. The office manager Matt texted me back and basically told me to trust the process and let them heal. He went on to say that sometimes people's faces are not symmetrical- well as you can see in the photo my natural brows were perfectly symmetrical. I should have went with my gut and got an emergency removal. After several text messages expressing my dissatisfaction, Matt asked if I could come in and speak to Sally. I drove back there (1hr) & she acknowledged that she had gone too far up on the right brow and offered a refund. There's no excuse for mistakes like that, these are permanent. Prior to that, she never called to discuss my dissatisfaction. If you are considering doing micro blading, do your research. Do not trust or assume that the artist has the mapping correct when it's drawn on your face. Make sure you checked it out thoroughly. I wanted natural looking brows, just a little enhancement. I walked away from the appointment with asymmetrical different shaped brows. I regret putting my trust into Sally. I now have to spend a bunch of money to have them removed! read more

You must TRUST in the process. I definitely trusted her to do what she thought was best on my face. I certainly have no clue and she has all the experience! Sally is amazing. But yes after that initial appointment I had a freak out! And was suddenly finding myself maybe regretting getting something permanent on my face when I have never put anything permanent on my body in my entire life. But that is part of the process. The eyebrows will look very very dark in the beginning. But they lighten up a lot. This is the pattern that I wish I prepped myself for a bit before actually going in: too dark, too little, then just right So far, I have done my initial appointment. You are in great hands with Sally. She's an expert in microblading, but also is a gifted artist that works with the nuances of your face to give you the perfect brows. During the pandemic my brows were ruined and uneven by an unfortunate waxing incident and my hair never grew back. It changed my look in an awful way. Got my eyebrows done here two years ago. They did the most horrible job. Un even eye brows. They went so deep that they have not faded away. Talked to them about it, and they referred me to the person who did them just for them never answer my calls. I didn't know what I wanted and I left it completely up to her and she knew exactly what I wanted and what fitted my face.
