Drew, I believe his name is, was super helpful. He gave me great advise for brewing my mead and then showed me options for yeast, nutrients and the like. They also have an abundance of home brewing supplies. Thanks guys! read more

This place is amazing showed up with a project. They took it on happily did every single thing for me with a smile. I would recommend this place to everyone anyone at all times seriously! read more

Run for the hills! The 5-star reviews you may see are with the previous owner, Tony - rock star....there are NO 5-star with the new owner who lacks personality, empathy, helpfulness....anything you might need to get supplies. be careful.....if you have any other options (online) i would totally go for it. I have been a home brewer for decades and have never seen this lack of service. read more

Sold me 2 gallon fermentors and the lids don't seal air tight. Charges a premium but sells you cheap grade products. Kinda stuck over a barrel buying from this place because these stores are a niche market but id recommend ordering from a website before shopping here. read more

I was stuck in a recipe. The wort was boiling away and I had a sudden crises of confidence. I googled for home brew stores and stumbled on this store. I called them out of the blue and they walked me through the recipe without even asking if I was their customer. That's old school service. Kudos! read more

Brand-new, beautifully organized, competitively priced, and ready for business. These guys are long-time homebrewers who live, eat, and breathe the craft. Now they've opened the HB store where they'd like to shop. As of now, they can get you the basics to get set up if you're in need of equipment, and they can get you a bunch of malt and a bunch of hops. They're still taking requests for other products to add to the shelves. They'll be adding cheesemaking supplies, and starting classes and other educational programs. If you're curious about getting into homebrew, this is a great place to come talk shop and get some basic learning on how to get started. These guys are looking to spread the love of the hobby throughout the northeast corner of the lake. Can't wait to watch them grow. read more

Top quality, fresh brewing ingredients, a wide selection of hardware and accessories, and the advice you need to brew great beer. That's why MHB was selected "Home Brew Store of the Year," last year, but here's yet another reason. After spending months struggling to get tech support from the maker of a brew pump I purchased, Tony (the owner) got them on the phone and fixed the device himself. Maybe Nordstrom no longer sets the standard for excellent customer service, but Tony and MBH do. Shop there and brew great beer! read more

So glad I found this place! I signed up for an Introduction to Home Brewing class here with my beer club, and was taught by Jesse. Not only was he very knowledgeable about beer, he was very laid-back, which made the class fun. For anyone who loves beer, I highly recommend taking this class to even just learn about the process of making beer, even if you aren't able to home brew (yet). My class started at 10AM and ended at 1PM, so it's a solid amount of time. The store has everything a home brewer would need and more. They even have books just about the different hops and the kind of water in different regions because it really all makes a difference in your beer. There's also cheese-making and wine classes here. I highly recommend this place to any beer lover. read more

A great home brew store, they have lots of supplies, and a large diverse supply of malts and yeasts.

The best homebrew shop I've ever been to (I've been to 6, in WA & CA). I've been coming here for maybe 6 batches, & I hope they never close down! The folks here are very knowledgeable & incredibly friendly, & their selection of EVERYTHING is impressive (more yeast strains than I've seen at any other LHBS). They have a separate room for all the malts, which are impeccably organized, & they have wares from the local malster in Skagit Valley, which is really nice. They also partner with local micro-brewery Cairn for homebrewing classes. As an example of how great the staff is, my sister (who lives in San Francisco) was trying to get me a gift certificate here for my birthday. She called in, & they were having some weird issues with her bank. They worked with her & the bank to get everything straightened away, never got frustrated, & generally went above & beyond. Really great folks working there. Can't recommend them highly enough! read more

I am a total newbie. These guys have been super helpful. Answered every question and helped me get all the supplies I needed.

This is the legit homebrew store. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and super clean. Plus, everything is done right. All nitro packed hops, grain is labeled by maltster. Great selection of yeast and not an expired one in sight. Good selection of hardgoods too. Hit this store. Honestly the nicest one I've been in. read more

Clean shop that's well organized and carries everything you could need for making your own beer, wine, cheese, kombucha and more. The staff friendly and knowledgeable. The layout in the store is done really nicely as well, with most home brew shops I find myself stumbling around stacks of stuff but not here. We love this shop. read more

These guys have been my go-to homebrew store since I discovered them a few years ago. Great prices and Tony will always give you any help you need. read more

First disclaimer - I have not visited other homebrew supply shops to compare this place to... but they are awesome. We walked in interested in starting home wine making. We were immediately greeted to ask if we had any questions or help. We told them we were just browsing for now. They checked in on us 10 minutes later, when we were ready to chat. The associate was very knowledgeable to chat with as a newbie, and did not dumb it down for us, or even try to upsell us. He knew the basic starter kit would be enough, and there was no reason to persuade us to buy the deluxe kit. He made us feel confident that we could do it! We'll definitely be coming back here for future brewing needs, even though it's a trek coming from Bellevue. read more

Nice store, friendly staff and good selection. Prices are also very good on many items and they have a fantastic selection of hops. Very happy that Micro Homebrew is open since it now gives me to 2 locations for supplies in or near Kirkland and a store where I can find certain items that are not carried at Mountain. read more

I've been thoroughly impressed with this shop. I've been homebrewing competitively for almost a decade and have been mentoring a friend who JUST started. Staff is well equipped to have productive conversations with both of us. In addition to being knowledgeable, staff is courteous and professional. Lacking in a few products but it's a new place so they're still stocking up. The fact that they're open on Saturday mornings is HUGE. This is usually when I brew and tt's so nice to be able to run to the homerew store when I inevitably forget something on gameday. read more

I was SO excited to come here as I took a couple of cheese making classes & am excited to start making my own! They have kits for soft cheese making (I bought the mozzarella and ricotta kit) for $29.95 which comes with cheesecloth, a basket for draining ricotta (so depending on how big of a batch you'd like to make, you might want to get at least another basket), soft cheese recipes, cooking thermometer, rennet, etc. They also sell these items individually. My only gripe is that on the box, it doesn't show everything you get in the box so I had to ask if it was okay to open one. Their name also implies that they sell beer brewing supplies which make up most of the store and wine making (!) supplies which I think will be my next project from there. The staff was super friendly & there is a rewards point system too! read more

Great place to get started on home brew needs. The staff is super friendly, an helpful when you know nothing about what you're doing They explain things as you go along. The prices are on par with other places I have checked out. As far as selections go they have a wide variety of bottles an kegs, an kits. Overall I recommend this place for the north end folks. read more

Great staff, fresh ingredients and abundant assortment.

Great store with expanded selection. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are usually better than what can be found online, and the conversation and advice from staff makes it more than worth it to go here. Excellent selection of grain and hops. It's clear that the owners care about the customer's needs. read more

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. A great selection of malts, hops and other brewing essentials. They also do classes on wine, cheese and beer making. This is my new home brew shop of choice. read more

Fantastic brewing supply store! The employees are fun, and very knowledgeable! The inventory is GINORMOUS, with a little bit of everything. Oh, and great parking too! read more

Best supply shop in the Northwest! Clean, organized, well-stocked, and friendly. They're doing it right.

Micro Homebrew is a fantastic store. The employees are knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. They have a great selection without being overwhelming. This place provides a great service for the brew and wine community in the PNW. Please support an awesome local small business, you won't be disappointed read more

This is a great little hombrew shop! I always go to Bobs in U District but I am now going to come here, it's closer and an awesome spot. The staff is very knowledgable, they've got plenty of equipment and ingredients and are happy to order anything you might need that they don't have in stock. Prices are also fair. In addition to beer things they've got cheese making, wine and soda stuff. So excited about this new store! read more

This is, hands down, the best homebrew store on the whole Seattle East Side. Selection is great, prices are competitive and the staff is amazing and very good brewers. read more

Great location and great team! I hated going to Mountain and homebrew heaven as it was a bit of a trek to get there. These guys are just down the street and always open when I need my supplies. I have stopped buying online and use Micro Homebrew for all my needs. Very helpful and a great selection of ingredients! Good job guys! read more

Only Jim was there today. Selection is the same as last time, still no bulk LME, but I just finished building my second mash tun, and now have the room to go back to all grain. I had a long talk with him about the huge hop selection, hot break foaming problems, cleaning and sanitizing, and his past work as a headbrewer. This guy knows his stuff and is very respectful to others. I asked Jim if they plan to stock more items and he showed me a clipboard full of things he wants to order, but said he needs to check prices with suppliers so he can get the best deal, and it may take a few months, but they will be getting more. I still plan to bounce between Larry's and Micro for different needs. Larry's has slightly cheaper hops, but Micro has a better selection, Micro carries both Wyeast and White Labs, Larry's only has Wyeast, and grain bags are cheaper at Larry's, so there are some differences, but both are great stores. read more

Fantastic store with extremely friendly and experienced home brewers for staff. They will take the time to answer any question or assist. Great selection of grains and one the best selection of hops around. This my new go to place for all supplies. Thanks for such a fantastic shop guys! Love you are open on Sundays as well! read more

Friendly staff. They are so knowledgeable and willing to help. I will definitely go again to get some stuffs for my next beer. read more

Genuinely enthusiastic and supportive staff here...unlike that of some other homebrew stores that seem grudging about customer service (particularly to novices). Micro Homebrew also has a great selection of grains and hops, yeast, gear, and support for those related hobbies (soda making, wine and cider making, etc.). read more

I've been to 4 other local homebrew stores - this one is the furthest from home. I make the drive every time because it is silly to even try to compare the others to Micro HB. The place is spotless, the shelves are stocked, grain selection is awesome, and the staff is ridiculously helpful and friendly. read more

Great store. Great employees. Always offering to help, answer questions. Wide selection of ingredients and equipment.

Glad these guys opened up. I live right down the road in Kirkland and have been going to the other homebrew place in Kirkland that shall remain nameless but has too high prices. The selection of equipment at Micro is fairly basic, so if you're gearing up they might need to order some stuff for you. They have a great selection of grains and a pretty good selection of hops and yeast. Prices are good and definitely less than the other place mentioned above. The guys who work in there are always friendly and they open up at 8:00 on Saturday, which is great if you want to get started early. This is my new "go to" shop when I brew. read more

Great store! Everything you need for any level of home brewing, and the staff is outstanding. Everyone I've talked to there has been more than willing to take time to explain things to a novice, and offer advice. For me, the best homebrew shop in the area. read more

Our first visit to this establishment was excellent! Zach gave us one on one attention. He made sure we found everything we were looking for. He helped get our items to our car. Zach was very informative and gave us some great tips on the equipment. We would recommend this store especially if you are first starting out your brewing project. They have the knowledge to answer all your questions and do so in a friendly professional manner. read more

Best place ever! Zach was SUPER helpful in getting me started with my first homebrew setup. They are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with feedback and suggestions. Will definitely be going back soon! read more

I am very new to brewing and needed some supplies for my 1st shot at a recipe that did not come in kit form. Tony helped me out with my grain bill and helped explain some things along the way to help me in my adventure that is my new favorite hobby. They never talked down to me or acted snobbish in any way very welcoming and knowledgeable. Customer service like this is something you can't find online and what make it a pleasure to shop local. If you curious about starting to brew I would highly recommend going in to chat with the friendly staff. I no longer live close to this shop and will continue to make the drive down for all my needs. read more

This place rocks!! Stopped in to check it out and had a nice conversation with the guy who was working. I really wish I could remember his name, but I'm bad at that. He was extremely knowledgeable and it sounded like he has been involved in craft beer in this area for a while. They've got a great selection of brewing supplies, malts, hops, yeast.. Really anything you would need to brew a tasty batch of homebrew. They had some wine stuff too, but I didn't pay as much attention to that because..... Beer. Haha. Can't wait to go back and stock up for our next brewing adventure. read more
