So nice! We were a bit early for our 5:15 reservation, and they did have us wait until nearly the time. I would absolutely recommend making a reservation though, even for an early time. The decor is beautiful and I love the idea of the slightly open kitchen. Our server was wonderful. Very attentive, very kind. Everything we ordered was amazing - but the stand out was the octopus appetizer. Perfectly cooked, not too chewy, and the sauce was amazing. We actually had an issue with one of the meals- they brought out the chicken paella instead of the scallops. They fixed the mistake pretty quickly, but it did make us have to wait a bit! This is absolutely a must try for a fancier dinner!

What a beautiful restaurant with an open kitchen. The detail in the decor is absolutely stunning! I ate here a few times while staying for a work trip. The bar team, Nilson made great cocktails and very friendly. The servers, Kallie, Mirtha, Ashley and Tanner took great care of me while I was there and made great recommendations. Christina their director has great taste in wine and I enjoyed flipping through their wine book. They offer a really cool high altitude Malbec wine flight which was very fitting for their "theme." I thoroughly enjoyed the food for lunch and dinner. The pull apart Pan de queso was delicious, whole branzino and paella was all great. The chefs do a great job here and I look forward to coming back!

I was looking for a nice spot for date night, and I found just the one! The interior is beautiful, modern and elegant and a little maximalist. Juan was our server and he was great! The menu had a lot of great options on it. We started with drinks and I believe I got the signature cocktail which was the perfect choice. We got some steak skewers as an appetizer and Juan even brought us out a small bite-sized starter from the chef which was delicious! We had trouble deciding between lots of delicious options on the menu, although we settled on the scallops and steak which were both cooked well and we're complimented with tasty greens. We couldn't pass up dessert either! I was excited to see that they had dessert wine recommended as a pairing so we got one of those as well as two desserts that were both creatively and beautifully plated! I would definitely recommend and would be excited to return!

Beautiful space located in the Bohemian Hotel in Charlotte. I was there to celebrate a birthday and even though we had a group of 8 the service did not fail us. Our server was attentive, explained the menu in detail and even extended the restaurant week menu to us which was a plus. The food - amazing! I had the lobster bisque which was seasoned well and the full of lobster. My main course was paella with shrimp. The portion was perfect and the shrimp was well prepared. My last drink was a French 76 that I absolutely loved. I'd definitely come back to experience other items on the menu. Lovely experience!

Well let me say this. The food at this place was absolutely amazing. We had the 20 oz ribeye and the whole oak grilled Branzino. She had a mocktail I had a glass of wine with a side of sauteed mushrooms and collard greens. We also ordered the special appetizer oyster witch was delicious. They were topped with caviar and bacon. We also split the apple bread pudding for dessert. I got the chimichurri seasoning with the ribeye and I ordered it medium rare. They cooked it perfectly. Just wish it was a little bit hotter when it came out. The bill came to about $200 before tip. The environment was very posh. They had a best wine selection and they also have a private room on the side. Now as far as the service goes I think they were short staffed. From the time we walked in until the time we got our food it was about a good hour 20 minutes. Yes I'm sure everything is made to order but I think they were short of staff so it took a little bit longer to get our food. I think this restaurant also does room service for the hotel so it may also contribute to the reason. We will be returning to this spot because the food was that good.

Came here for my birthday brunch and of course, Mico did not disappoint. They always roll out the royal brunch treatment. Perfect Eggs Benedict, ice-cold mimosas, and just when you think it couldn't get better... boom. Birthday churro-donuts. From the service, to the immaculately decorated space, Mico truly knows how to make a birthday princess feel like a birthday Queen.

Celebrated a birthday dinner here with two friends. Everything was delicious from the drinks to the food! We did have an issue with some of the water glasses, but it was quickly noticed and handled before we could even mention it. Our waitress was great! She answered all of our questions and made recommendations that made for a good dining experience.

My sister celebrated her 39th birthday this past Saturday at Mico's. It was dinner for 5 people and we got there around 8pm for an 8:30pm reservation. We parked with valet for $28, which I thought was quite steep but the guys were pleasant and helpful. We checked in with the lovely hostess who had such a warm smile on her face. She even obliged in taking pictures of us. Shortly after, we headed to the dining room to be seated. The restaurant wasn't too busy for a Saturday evening so it almost felt like we had the place to ourselves. Our waitress came over and provided us with some menus and took our drink orders. I settled on hot green tea with lemon and honey. My sister and cousins got specialized cocktails/mocktails that were not on the menu. For our meal, my sister got the veggie paella, my cousins had the salmon and chips & dip, and I had sweet plantains and the truffle mushrooms. The mushrooms were so delicious, as were the plantains. I wasn't hungry so I opted for side dishes. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and the menu was priced moderately. The ambiance of the restaurant is also captivating. The lit up bar leading into the kitchen, the open space concept in the dining area, and the private dining room all add to the simplicity, yet uniqueness of the space.

One of my favorite places in Charlotte for breakfast and brunch. The Egg White Frittata is my favorite. The service is so great!

Had 8oz steak with the chimichurri & plantains as a side for drinks I had a Bohemian Gold and Figgy Fashion. Everything is great. I really love the steak. The steak was tender, juicy very flavorful. The plantains were crispy. Very sweet inside. The most delicious plantains I have. We went for an engagement. My brother is happily engaged now!!!! Server was Mirta. She was excellent. The restaurant was so beautiful. Great for taking pictures. Drinks I had: Bohemian Gold - Very light and refreshing felt like something you could drink with your meal and have a light taste figgy fashion - Very strong, you will taste the liquor in this drink citrusy Overall 10/10 restaurant.

The restaurant is located inside of a hotel, the interior is beautiful and very nice. I made reservations on open table, and I knew it must be the place to go, they make you put a credit card on file to make a reservation and if you cancel within a day they will charge $50.00 per person. Our waitress Ashley was the best, very attentive and knowledgeable. We started with the octopus, and it was delicious! We were celebrating my friend birthday and I had informed them of that. They had a nice place card on the table and the waiter sent us two spoons of something with tomatoes, micro greens and some type of cheese to refresh your palate, it was delicious! I had the branzino, and a side of Brussel sprouts I've been wanting to try the fish. My friend had the paella add scallops and a Caesar salad, the real one with anchovies and not the salty kind. We then had this cookie and cream dessert, that was okay. It had dark chocolate, the bitter kind, but the bar itself was good. I would definitely go back and try something else.

I finally got to try MICO in uptown and it was delightful. The restaurant/hotel is gorgeous with moody lighting. Our server was attentive and was a great help with navigating the menu. The Caesar salad is beyond delicious, one of the best I have had. It's done the way a Caesar salad should be done. The fries were seasoned to perfection and crispy. The filet mignon skewers were so tender and flavorful. I wanted more. The Peruvian chicken Milanese was incredible. The fresh salad on top with the potato purée and gravy was surprisingly a great combo. I didn't drink this night but they have a super creative drink menu for those who want to indulge. Overall, I had a fabulous night here and I can't wait to be back again!! Xoxo, Ruthy

Tucked at 435 S Tryon, this spot feels like stepping back in time while still enjoying modern elegance. The building itself is the star before you even sit down: a beautifully preserved 1929 Mediterranean Revival gem (originally Ratcliffe's Florist Shop) with original floors, red-brick walls and those stunning decorative Tiffany-style stained-glass windows. The arched ceilings and historic details make the whole room glow -- it's romantic, warm, and full of old Charlotte charm without feeling stuffy. You can literally feel the history while you dine. The menu has that perfect "olden take" I was hoping for -- classic fine-dining favorites done with fresh, New American flair. Think herb-crusted rack of lamb with rosemary jus, pan-seared Chilean sea bass, local shrimp & grits, or a perfectly grilled filet mignon; not leave out the duck, elk and emu. Everything is beautifully plated, and the portions are generous for this level. (Pro tip: add the lobster tail upgrade if you're celebrating!) Service was polished and friendly -- our server knew the wine list and the building's backstory, which made the night even more special. The whole experience felt special-occasion worthy but not pretentious. Whether you're coming before a show at the Knight Theatre or just treating yourself Uptown, Bernardin's delivers on atmosphere, history, and food. Easily one of my new favorite spots in Charlotte. Can't wait to go back!

Warm bread and soft butter is the ultimate pair. I got the escargot to start and was impressed at the texture of them. Usually they tend to be pretty tough but these weren't! The sauce they come with was very good but lightly spicy, so I would watch out for that if you have an aversion to spice. For my main, I got the filet and added in a lobster tail. The only thing I'll note is that the menu says it comes with fingerling potatoes and I don't think that's what I got. Not a huge issue obviously. I liked that the tables were a good distance from each other and the servers were very kind and knowledgeable. Everything was amazing and if I lived in Charlotte, I would be going here often.

We had reservations but it wasn't overly busy so I don't think they were necessary for that day and time but I would definitely recommend on busier times. I love the fact that this is more of a tapas style restaurant so you can order and taste a ton of options. Plates are generally around $14-22 per plate and they have enough for three or four (tapas style). We started with crab dip and oysters on the half shell (raw). The crab dip was rich and creamy and served with buttered crusty, buttered bread. The oysters were amazing too but a little nuance about these: they are listed by region (e.g. West Coast, Mid-Atlantic, etc.) and not listed as they type of oyster. Oysters vary greatly within a single region so I would encourage you to ask what specific oysters they serve for each region (they will look it up and tell you) to make sure you know what you are getting. We also ordered the calamari, small salad (unlisted option for the salad listed on the menu) and poke bowl to share. We went in hungry and probably ordered too much because this was all to start off. Everything was really good and worth ordering. For my "entree" or ordered the trout which comes with lentils and broccolini. This dish was fantastic and highly recommended. The trout was perfectly cooked and delicious. Our waitress, Tiffany, was amazing and did a great job. Additionally, this is the perfect spot for a "dinner and a show" since it is right beside the Knight theater. Parking is easily accessible at the Green Garage right across the street.

This restaurant is very nicely designed. It's visually appealing with tables indoors, a bar area, and an outside dining area. The hostess and my server were professional and extremely nice and made my dining experience very pleasant. The reason I am giving three stars instead of four or more comes down to value. Seafood is expensive, I get that. But I don't know that there's much value to be had here. Portion sizes are small relative to what you're paying for. And in my opinion, while the freshness and the quality of the seafood may be there, the flavor is not. I have no doubt that the quality of the seafood here is good. But I did not enjoy anything I ordered. I wasn't put off by the food, but I wish I had wanted to savor each bit. I ordered the cajun grilled oysters and the miso sablefish. I thought both were too salty and despite paying over $40 for the meal, I left still a bit hungry.

The drink menu is impressive, with the usual classics but also many variants on them; all of which sounded really good. My business partner had the Ube Sour. The flavors, including Sweet Potato powder, where unique and really good. I had a Vesper that was prepared perfectly. Pricing on the wines by the glass were very good and the selection was excellent. My business partner had the Seafood Pasta with squid ink spaghetti. He loved it and the spicy tomato sauce. There was plenty of perfectly cooked seafood. I had the roasted Sea Bass with Broccolini. So good! But what really got me was an add-on side of Seafood Mashed Potatoes. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was wonderful enough to be an entree by itself. Shrimp and Langostinos in an incredible cream sauce over buttery mashed potatoes (see pic). Desserts were also excellent. My business partner had what I think was a coconut crema, which he loved.
