The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy your meal. Our waitress, Tina, truly made the experience exceptional. She was wonderful, attentive, and genuinely amazing--friendly, efficient, and made us feel right at home from start to finish. Highly recommend for a delicious breakfast and outstanding service. The server Michelle was friendly and greeted me with a pleasant smile and demeanor. The chicken salad was subpar and it was not at all what you would consider an entree sized salad. You can easily get a better salad at the Casey's next door. The sweet potato fries were good, but I'd hope so since they are freezer fries. The place is definitely outdated and needs some help. read more

Happy I walked in instead of eating food from Casey's; Super comfortable environment . Had a wonderful experience with comfort food made straight from "Mama in the back "! Straight forward; quick paced service ! Mexican scramble / omelette with rye toast & goood beans was what was enjoyed ! Had to taste the Pecan Bread pudding and was not disappointed! Breakfast all day, yes please. Stopped for a late breakfast as we passed through town. Perfect timing right before the lunch rush. We sat immediately at a little table and was waited on right away. I got the stuffed French toast thanks to hubby. They have apple, strawberry, blueberry and pineapple. I went with blueberry and was not disappointed. Congress with a couple generic sausage links. Hubby got a breakfast scramble which did not top French toast. read more

We didn't know of this. Accident to find as we're driving to another place. Good here. Local made cheesecake for app. Really good. Apparently is a buffet during some part of day. Breakfast all hours. Mex Scramble for me in preparation. Chicken Stir Fry also coming. And all is very good and we're coming back. And the buffet is on hold. Waiting for change back to several years ago. read more

Pleasant stop on the highway as we traveled through. It's nothing fancy, and could definitely be deemed a hole in the wall. But, it's locally owned, wait staff was kind and efficient, place was clean, and the burger and chicken sandwich we ordered were quite tasty and fresh! On a full scale restaurant rating, it's prolly a 3-3/4. But for a small town, highway travel setting its a certain 5 star. read more

It has been some time since I been to Mickies as we live in a different city but the food was good when we went. I honestly never even knew the name of the place as its not really advertised on the outdoor sign. Not many breakfast options in the town of Cozad we sometimes will stop here for a bite to eat. I really wish these places would update the decor as with most of them in Cozad they are outdated and smell a bit musty. The food is good, reminds you of something you would make at home , nothing fancy but typically good food. Bacon , eggs , toast. Food was cheap enough for the 3 of us and the coffee was refilled constantly . The staff do spend "time" at the tables of people they know which sometimes slows down the process. Fine if you are slow, but not fine if you have travelers wanting to eat and go. Right next to a motel and off the interstate makes it for easy access. I recommend going if you have a bit of time to sit and relax, if your in a hurry its not the place to go. I give it a 4 as they are trying really hard to do what's right , food is fine and location is great. read more

A well rounded menu and excellent food. My omelette was done to perfection and toast was actually dry as requested, good going! My deal breakers are: 1. The interior decor has never been updated. Still resembles the overall appearance of the cafe that was here back in the 90s. 2. They charge hidden fees. Sign out front states free coffee with the purchase of meal,FALSE! Menu states that toast was included with my omelette, charged 50 cents extra. read more

As I walk up for the second time at 8:24 the ignorant lady decided she didn't want to deal with me so she closed the store. The first time I can here 5 mins ago, I asked for the vegan options she said she had fish.... Be very careful of your dietary restrictions because these people are not educated enough to know about food. Then when you try to deal with their obtuse retorts the get short tempered and close the restaurant... I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they don't clean either the outside of the building looks ran down and reflects the staff. I have more bad things to say, but I'm hungry and a vegan can't eat fish..... read more

A nice alternative to the superabundance of fast food chains you find off the interstate. The efficient waitress took our order and minutes later we had our food. I had a basic hamburger (hand formed) and French fries, and my husband had a chicken club with fresh fries. (We were given a choice of fries or onion rings with our sandwiches.). We would have liked the fries to be a little browner, but they were fresh and unsalted. We were in (1:20 pm and out (2:05 pm) in 45 minutes. read more

The food is actually pretty good. I really like their chicken strip dinner. They serve breakfast all day long. Very reasonably priced.

Very good food! Sunday we ate a buffet that was very large and had an outstanding selection of food! They had anything from eggs to chicken fried steak, they even had some Mexican breakfast items. The service was amazing also! read more

Used to eat here now and then. The BLT "eats." It's not great but in a pinch it worked until they raised the price to $7.00 for JUST the sandwich. That was the last time I've eaten there. read more

A good, old fashioned diner type menu. Great taste, good value, friendly and competant staff. Quick, smiling service and darn good food.
