wanted supreme nachos with steak, they said no. okay i'll get the grilled nachos, 2 GREEN tamales, and an order of chicken. Opened the box and got red tamales instead. I said "okay that's fine not gonna make big deal of it". I tried them, most flavorless tamales in my life. The nachos, definitely store bought, were stale, steak dry, sour cream was a glob like play-doh, guacamole old and colorless. I understand cutting corners but serving that to customers in a predominately white neighborhood that won't know any better is disrespectful. My bf is Mexican and to sum up his experience with one word "tasteless" the complete opposite of what Mexican food should be. Found this place right off highway 80 in Nebraska. Weren't sure what to expect but ended up liking it. Staff was great, very helpful and accommodating. Ordered off Lunch specials and prices are very reasonable, $7-$10 range. Hige burrito smothered in green sauce was yummy and so were the steak tacos and enchiladas. Horchata was good too. Great find just off I 80 exit 211, great food and great service. Had the lunch special #6, excellent burrito with beans and rice under $8.

I moved to Nebraska for work and have been traveling around the entire state. I am born and raised from Chicago, IL and everything about this place was perfect. I had the steak taco diner with rice and beans and horchata. The steak was perfect rice and bean were not over salted and the horchata was not to sweat. 5 stars, I will make it back( Currently living in Omaha). Gothenburg, Ne definitely has a hidden gem. read more

This little town has a hidden gem! Mi Ranchito, is delish! This Family owned restaurant takes pride in their food and treat their customers like family! Tonight I tried a chicken Chimichanga w red sauce (spicy) the favor in the "spicy" sauce made your lips tingle but full of flavor! The chicken was cooked perfectly and stuffed the tortilla shell, not like most places that skimp on the meat! The tortilla was fried perfectly and still had a crunch even though it was smothered in red sauce. My husband went for some steak tacos ( there is a Spanish way to say it but I couldn't spell it) he asked for spicy and they cooked the meat w extra peppers, let's just say he was 50 shades of red! But the heat had flavor! The steak was cooked perfectly, and laid in corn tortilla with an avocado to cool the heat! Everything was seasoned perfectly! My son had the Navajo chicken, which was full of flavor and spicy seasoning grilled perfectly w green peppers and onion and shrimp, then smother w a sauce, served w corn or flour tortillas. The wait staff was friendly and everyone stopped by the table to say hi and check on you! this doesn't even deserve a star, the service is a joke. Oh ya, I haven't eaten the food here yet. I called at 11:26 am, to order a to go order thinking i would try something new, this was after I called 3 times already. Finally the phone was picked up, i asked to make an order and the lady (who i could barely understand) tells me no i can't because they don't open until 11:30. I told the girl on the phone its 11:26 are you serious? and she said yes are busy and hung up. I called at 11:30, just to see and same person answer and said yes i could order and I asked for shrimp fajitas. She had to ask someone if they had it and said no we dont, we only have shrimp, chicken, and beef. I told her I wanted shrimp and she had to check again to see if they had shrimp. I asked to speak with a manager and was told there werent any. This establishment seems to be laughable. I don't plan on ever giving them my business after this terrible first impression. Don't waste your time, keep driving!!!! The parking lot is tiny and full of bumps. read more
