The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy your meal. Our waitress, Tina, truly made the experience exceptional. These places really need to take in consideration that not everyone has the time that they may have. Think of the customers maybe they are on a time restraint and think a fast food joint would be the quickest, not the case here. The food is typical Runza which I do enjoy, getting a Runza or the mushroom Swiss burger is the way I go. Love the fries when they are hot and the onion rings are ok. Always check your bags if you get it to go as a number of times the food will be wrong, usually forgetting to put something in the bag.

I had a cheese Runza meal with frings and it was solid, great amount of rings and fries and their ranch is just the best. My wife had a cheeseburger meal she was a little disappointed "a Runza burger used to slap once upon a time, now isn't that time" but she enjoyed her fries. Our baby enjoyed her chicken strips and mandarin oranges. There was a friendly elderly group inside while we were there and were super supportive of our 1 year old walking around and burning off some energy before going back into the car seat. Sunday at noonish, we popped into Pal's & boy did it feel familiar with all the nods to Wisconsin! Turns out there's also a location in the Dells, as a side note. The infamous fish fry, the WI pizza, WI cheese & Driftless Glen proudly displayed (& served). It's big, lots of space to gather. The environment is relaxed, comfortable, friendly & the beer we tried was good. We didn't eat, as we already had lunch plans. We'll hafta hit up the WI location next time we're through, too.

Really poor experience. After a long day driving, we chose this place because it had ok reviews and…read morewas close to our hotel. Alas- it was one of the worst eating experiences on our 2 week road trip. Biggest problem- only one server for the entire place and she had to do it all except for actually running the grill. She did try, but could not keep up with a full house on a Friday night for dinner. Took her 10 minutes just to bring menus, and at least a half hour to get food to us. When food was brought out we had an item missing- a shake that was never made or brought to the table even 45 minutes after ordering it. The Philly cheese steak was cold and had clearly been made and stood for some time before being brought out. The BLT was cold, as was the chilli. The chicken on the chicken salad had also clearly sat for quite a while before being delivered to the table. Another big problem was cleanliness. The floor was dirty. The room had flies buzzing around. At one point the server dropped a tray of coffee mugs and clearly broke several. She didn't sweep them up. A few minutes later, a busser came out from the back and kicked a broken piece of cup along the floor. He just left it there rather than picking it up. It was still there in the middle of the floor when we left. They did remove the shake that never came and the 2 items that were cold and not eaten from the bill. I think the server was doing her best but only so much one person can do.
