When we walked in, the first thing we noticed was that several tables needed to be cleaned. Seating was limited because many of the empty tables still had dishes and trays on them. We ordered at the register, and I got the pastor specialty tacos with a jamaica. The cashier asked if I was sure about the jamaica because she said theirs is a bit sour, and she even offered me a small sample first. I thought that was thoughtful customer service. After tasting it, I still wanted it, it didn't taste sour to me at all. It just wasn't as sweet as the jamaica I'm used to, and I actually enjoyed it. The hint of ginger was a nice surprise and something I'd never had before. The tacos were good, maybe not the best I've ever had, but definitely solid. I loved that the tortillas were handmade, and adding some of the table chili gave them the extra kick I was looking for. Before we left, we noticed another couple clearing off a table themselves because there wasn't a clean place to sit. If I could offer one suggestion, it would be to stay on top of cleaning the dining area. Customers shouldn't have to wipe down or clear tables before enjoying their meal. It may have just been an unusually busy day or they may have been short-staffed. Overall, there were definitely things I enjoyed, and I'd be willing to give them another try. Hopefully next time the dining area is a little cleaner because I think that would make the overall experience much better.
