Love La Bodega tacos! Always enjoy their food. The Birria Tacos are great and the new birria eggrolls are unique and tasty. The esquite is top notch - highly recommend adding the hot cheetos! The mangonada slushy is the perfect mix of sweet, spicy, savory, and refreshing!
My sister and I did takeout here as it's a smaller place and not really a sit down place. I recall ordered 2 sauces, medium & hot. I was a bit disappointed when I got home and realized they put none in the box/bag. The tacos definitely needed sauce and without it I did not like them at all. The rice was just okay. I also ordered horchata. It was fine. I probably won't be back because of the fact I didn't like the tacos in the authentic form I had to eat them but that's just me.
This place is a 10/10! Must stop for tacos we tried this as a local spot and it did not disappoint. The generous amount of food you get is also incredible. They have a tiny parking lot that is unique and a little difficult to get into. The inside is small but the staff is very friendly and for being as busy as they usually are they were so quick! Can't wait to go back!
Absolutely delicious! Ordered a few street tacos to try for the first time here and loved them all! Ordered more and loved them too! All of the meats were delicious and the seafood ones are worth the little extra cost. The nopales are one of my favorite taco fillings and these were excellent! Ordering was super quick at the front counter and my order was brought to me in a timely manner. The restaurant is small, only seating a handful of customers, but don't let that stop you from coming to try these! If it's full inside, order takeout and eat in your vehicle! Delicious!
Stopped in to La Bodega Taco Bar and had some REALLY good tacos. Ordering is at an automated kiosk or online and seating is pretty limited. My order came out quick and was well packed to go. The Asada Tacos used good quality beef and tasted great. The green sauce (medium) was tasty and the Birra Egg Rolls were way bigger than I expected them to be and were quite good. Highly recommend this spot and I will definitely be back.
I love tacos and I wanted to love this place but sadly the selection and flavor just isn't there. My favorite thing was the crazy fries, which we got with steak. The tacos were not good though. The chicken has an odd taste, I think maybe it is drenched or marinated in the birria, which I don't enjoy. The kids meat was pretty basic, $7 for 1 taco without any veggies or toppings and some fries. I don't think I'll be back.
Amazing birria tacos! They were overflowing with flavorful and tender meats, and served with a delicious birria consommé - one of the best I've tasted. We ordered the 3-taco quesabirria and got one with chicken, one with asada and one with birria. All were great. The melted cheese and crispy tortilla shells dipped in birria added great texture and flavor. The staff was very friendly, accommodating our special requests, including a mangonada slushie without Tajin and an extra tortilla since there was so much meat in the tacos we had enough to make another one! Will be back to try the birria ramen and crazy nachos that we saw others eating.
Stopped by here the other day for lunch. It's a small place tucked away on the corner of Texas-Tonka in St. Louis Park. Very unassuming place. There is a few spots where you could sit but mainly a take out type of area. Friendly staff but you order at the kiosk and they make it for you. I ordered a Birria Ramen to go and they packed it well for me to transport home. I had heard a lot of good things about the birria ramen and it did not disappoint. The tender meat in the consommé with the ramen noodles was rich and complex. The flavors were great and worked so well together. It definitely filled me up and satisfied in a way that normally is reserved for comfort food. Definitely will be visiting this place again and maybe try the other things on the menu but this ramen will be hard to beat.
WOW WOW WOW! The Quesabirria tacos are so delicious here! When we arrived, there was a short line, and we were prepared to get takeout but we got lucky and were able to snag one of the few outdoor tables. We ordered queso + chips, Quesabirria tacos with medium salsa, and churros. The star of the show was by far the tacos. Portions are HUGE, they're super flavorful, and the medium salsa had a kick without overpowering the other flavors. Service was super friendly, atmosphere was cheerful, and I can't wait to become a regular!
I really wanted to try this place. Their posts on social media are so enticing! And Birria Ramen? I HAD to try it! The St. Louis Park location is a tiny thing. There are some window seats, or you can grab a seat at one of the tables on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. I think my mistake was eating there, rather than taking my order to go. They did not have a restroom either, which made dining in difficult. The Food: Birria Ramen: There was very little flavor in this. The only thing I could taste was the onion and cilantro. The meat was also lacking flavor. The dish was so oily. I would not order this again. Birria Tacos: Very similar to the ramen. Lacking flavor and oily. I ordered the birria tacos with cheese. The cheese tasted almost plastic. I was so disappointed. We didn't finish our food. I want to try this place again, maybe I went on an off day. But I think 2/5 stars is fair. I'll update if I end up going back!
Great food, fast service, good price! Had a fun date night here my favorite was the torta and the crazy nachos are a close second. The medium salsa that came with the tots was mind blowingly good. The birria ramen wasn't my favorite, a tad rich for me. However, it was a unique item I haven't seen elsewhere

Have been eager to try this place for a while and finally got the opportunity to stop in and grab a light dinner before a show. I ordered 1 pastor taco and one steak taco and was so impressed! The tacos were FULL of meat. The flavor was the best! The pastor taco matched a place that had a line in Mexico. I know this place is known for their birria and looking at the menu while waiting, there are several things I would love to try here. We will definitely be back! read more
The food is delicious here, their concept is freshly made. However, they cook to order. So there will be a waiting game. I've put in an online order before, the waiting time will say 20-30 minutes. Showed up after 30 minutes and had to wait another 20 minutes for my food. Staff is super nice and there's usually 3 people working. This is a small restaurant, there's high tops and bar stools for dine in, however it's limited to maybe 4 chairs. Everyone usually orders take out. read more
My wife and I were on our "New restaurant Saturday lunch" There are a ton of places to eat around this area, wontons, desserts, cheese and sandwich store. We entered La Bodega and unfortunately greeted by a big kiosk screen where you place your order. i would personally like to talk to the person taking my order. i ordered an al pastor torta, which was pretty expensive, $20 after tax and tip, which was weird to ask for a tip when no-one really took our order, just our food on a tray. The sandwich was huge and full of great ingredients, even the tomatoes were excellent. A little expensive, but from what I saw, each entree could serve two. read more

Sometimes you get a craving for birria that just won't quit! La Bodega is my go-to spot for birria deliciousness! I had not had the chance to try the birria ramen so this past visit we snagged some along with some crazy nachos and tacos! The birria ramen is awesome. First of all, the portion is huge! And the birria is plentiful and flavorful! It is definitely filling and fun to eat. Would recommend, especially when the colder weather rolls around. The crazy nachos are also sooo good! We got carne asada as the meat topping but I really think any meat option would be tasty. The fries come with crema, queso, guac and salsas and oh my gosh it was perfect! Finally the tacos. I got al pastor tacos. That's my go to taco so I've had them from many spots.... These always hit the spot!! I topped off my meal with a mangonada slushy which I inhaled. So refreshing! La Bodega has two spots, one in Saint Louis Park and one in uptown, so two places to get your taco fix! read more
This place is small but mighty! Not many seats are available inside as it's more bar style seating but there are a few tables outside to enjoy your tacos. I had the birria tacos with consome, which comes with 3 tacos, your choice of hot sauce and plenty of limes. Fiancé had a steak burrito. Tacos came with tons of meat and flavor. Loved the consome as well! So good! The burrito had more rice than meat and lacked a bit of flavor. Definitely get the birria anything on the menu - my fiancé ended up dipping his burrito into my consome for more flavor. Service was fast. They encourage you to order at the kiosk up front when you walk in. I will be back for the birria ramen! read more

After hearing that Birria Ramen is the new it food, I had to try some for myself. La Bodega Taco Bar is on Minnetonka Blvd and Texas Ave. The restaurant only has a couple of available seats so it is the perfect pick up spot. The kiosks are easy to use and the food was prepared quickly. The chips were freshly made and the greasy bag proved it but they were tasty. The queso was a good consistency but could have had a little more flavor or spice! The Birria Ramen was a large bowl that would last me at least 2 servings. The meat was juicy and flavorful. It was perfectly cooked and tasted great with the onion, cilantro, and limes. The ramen noodles were not my favorite and I ended up eating the meat out if the bowl. The consume was on the thicker side and could definitely be thinned out to make this dish easier to eat and more similar to ramen or a soup. read more

Favorite place in the cities to get Quesabirria Small setup, really meant for take away, although they do have seating if you can't wait The is succulent, the consommé flavorful, ate it all up with no crumb You have to stop by if you're in Hopkins. Not my first visit nor my last visit, #worth for your rotation of yummy foods. read more

I took one look at a picture of La bodega taco bar's birria ramen and I knew instantly I had to try it out for myself! When you first drive up, the location is unassuming across the street from a strip mall in SLP. The location is mainly takeout with only a few bar stools inside. My fiancé and I ordered the birria tacos, birria ramen, and horchata and drove to the park 3 blocks away. Some taco bars you go to will have a tiny bit of meat, not La Bodega! Every taco was overflowing with meat and the ramen was filled with it too. Not only that but the flavor was spot on also. Highly recommend this place for some yummy and very satisfying Mexican food! read more

Heard rave reviews about this new spot near us so had to try! Turns out it's mainly a takeout place: they have a few chairs that folks mostly use to sit and wait for pickup orders. Plan on taking out! We ordered online, which was a smooth process. Here's what we got: CARNE ASADA QUESADILLA: pretty simple, 4 slices with lettuce, pico and sour cream on the side. Meat was good but not mind-blowing. BIRRIA TACOS: Definitely the star of the show! The tacos were more like dorados - dunked in consommé and pan-fried to be a bit crispy - yum! The birria meat was good, not as juicy as we've had elsewhere but packed in each taco. The consommé was good but we've had more flavorful. ESQUITE: First bites were super sour/salty before I stirred it up from the toppings! A bit on the saucy side for me - I could have used more corn, but really creamy and good. CHURRO: No photo evidence because it got eaten too fast! Delicious, but a bit pricey for one churro. We'll likely be back for birria because it's close and convenient! read more

Food was amazing!!! You get so much meat for the price ($13). Parking wasn't too bad. There's a small free parking lot. There's not as many seats here though. It's all counter space for seats. I didn't mind it. It was cozy and chill. Definitely will be back. read more

I found this place on TikTok, one of the comment told me to try this place. Didn't disappoint for sure. Soup was fine. Taco had lots of meats in it. For the taste, it didn't quite right. I respectfully understand everyone has different opinion. To sum it up, I am recommend you to try this place. PS: Corn was delicious read more

I LOVE La Bodega Taco Bar. When I'm craving birria tacos and queso, La Bodega is my go-to. The food is amazing and very reasonably priced. Inconspicuously located in a small strip mall in St. Louis Park, you'll find the postage stamp size La Bodega (they've opened a larger location Uptown.) There are a few dedicated parking spots directly in front of the restaurant. You place your order at a kiosk and when the food is ready they bring your food out to you. The food is consistently tasty and fresh and the service is always approachable. There are a few outdoor tables and about 5 bar seats inside. Just FYI, there is no public restroom at this location. La Bodega is locally run and operated by the same owners of Michoacana! read more
