I came to Taco Lindo while my car was getting an oil change at the mechanic down the road. I was warmly welcomed promptly upon my arrival. I ordered the special, chicken tacos. I was served chips and salsa within a few minutes of sitting down. I also ordered the Happy Hour special, a house margarita that packed a punch! . I have been eyeing this taco joint since it has opened and finally went for a pickup. The street tacos are ok but for the price, I'd hoped they were regular corn tortillas. For $2.50/taco and comparing to local taco trucks, it was a disappointment for them to be street tortillas. The rice and beans just miss the mark completely. The beans have no flavoring which just made them heated up black beans and the rice is exceptionally dry. There is potential for this place to be a true hidden gem. The cooks really need to tap in to flavoring and touching on what sells. It would've been really cool for them to have hot ticket items like Birria tacos and elote. This place has carnitas! For some reason, I've found that most Mexican places in the area do not. As a result, this has become my family's go-to Mexican restaurant. Mediocre and pricey - not worth the money. After months of watching construction on this new place, I tried out the new Taco Lindo. I was mostly disappointed. The food was sketchy and the price was too high for what I got. They have a drive-through window and a small indoor seating area. This is Mexican fast food type stuff, similar to Chipotle but not as good. My Beef Chimichangas were decent but they gave me the wrong beef. I ordered steak but they gave me ground beef. Bummer. My small amount of refried beans were watery and cold. Yuck. And my Horchata was Horshitta and bland. It didn't have enough vanilla and cinnamon. Lame. The only thing that was passable was my side order of corn chips & queso cheese dip. All of this set me back a little over 24 bucks. This was way too steep for the food they gave me. I would have been better off going to the McDonald's drive through a block away and spending 12 bucks on a Number 1 Big Mac Meal. Disappointing after my long wait to try this place out. I left feeling like I just threw away 24 bucks. I should probably give them 2 stars but I'm going with 3 stars because they have the guts to open a new place during a pandemic. Driving home and I saw this small quaint taco shack...I stopped in and ordered 2 meals to go. The staff were so sweet ..gave me a soda while I waited for my order. The salsa was pleasantly spicy. the carnitas were moist and full of flavor. the rice was seriously the best I've ever had, the best I have had! Decided to give this place a try, and I'm glad I did. It's a very small place, and doesn't look like much from the road. However, their food and service are excellent. It's a small, family run business, and has a great menu. The prices are very reasonable, and portions very large. They have a small bar and full drink menu. The Texas margarita was very good, as were the burritos Mexicanos. Very good flavor. The owner asked if we wanted dessert. When we asked if they had something that was not on the menu, he said he would make it for us, anyway. Would definitely go here again. They have about 8 or 10 tables inside, and a similar size patio that faces Hwy 65. Give them a try. You will not be disappointed. read more

This one is a difficult one for it's not that nice inside or have a great menu and by the time you pay for chip and salsa or guacamole there are better options out there so I was leaning toward 3 stars. But they do have a niche and it's "Taco Tuesday" so for that I give them 4* street taco's with cilantro, lime and onion with corn tortillas are very good the al pastor and chorizo were my favorites there the asada was good and the chicken okay. I decided to finally stop in here after a friends recommendation. I had been craving some tacos and decided I wanted maybe a step up from the local fast food taco joint. I was pleasantly surprised that they had a drive-through. Though when I did pull up it seemed as though nobody was there. So I proceeded to check online to see what their hours of operation were which said 11 to 9. So I drove my car forward and back. Thinking maybe I had been too far away or there notification system hadn't been triggered that they had somebody in their drive-through. There weren't any cars there thinking maybe they were closed for the day possibly?.. I was almost going to drive away then when finally someone answered. I started asking them about their meat in their tacos particularly their Carnitas. I don't know if it was due to a language barrier or not? I wanted to know if it was a shredded pork or more of grilled pork pieces. It seems like she didn't understand what I was saying or maybe she just wasn't really paying attention?... I finally decided on three street tacos, and was trying to ask if they had sides. As I wanted something a little more than just a couple of tacos. Again she was very unhelpful as it seems she didn't know what was on their menu. I had never been there and so wasn't familiar with their offerings. She just kept on telling me well we have hot salsa and lettuce and cheese and sour cream. I was looking for something more like rice or some chips and salsa. Which I did end up finding on my own on their menu. On their menu it doesn't really clarify what they have to drink it just says fountain pop : Pepsi. So again I was trying to ask for clarification whether they only offer Pepsi or different Pepsi drinks . She was telling me about the Horchata drinks and not telling me the types of Pepsi beverages that they offered. After lots of miscommunication due to language barrier or not really listening to the customer and what I was trying to ask. I ended up ordering three ground beef softshell corn tacos where I had to pay an up charge for a teeny bit of lettuce cheese and sour cream. Otherwise the tacos just come with cilantro meat and the tortilla. The food overall was decent the tacos were good, the rice actually I thought was pretty delicious for a Mexican rice, and of course my bottle of Mountain Dew that was supposed to be a fountain drink. The lady in the drive-through who I also believe who was the person taking my order seemed impatient when she gave me my card back. I was just putting my card back in my wallet so as not to miss place it. She was nipping at my heels to get the signed copy back. There were three receipts there and I assumed the middle copy was mine as it was a breakdown of what I was charged for I also was curious as to why I was paying so much for so little. So I ripped my copy that I assumed was mine but then she tells me that's goes with the stapled copy. I'm ask her "So both of those are mine?" She's says "No, do you want a receipt?" I reply, "Yes!" As far as I know with most businesses it's customary to always give your customer a receipt but you could ask them if they would like one if you're not sure if they would not like one. And here is my favorite moment of the whole event she "Thanks me and tells me to have a great day." I turn and look at her and ask "Can I have my food?" She looks at me like a deer in headlights. I said "I paid for my food can I get it now?" That was the crowning moment of this of the stellar experience. I gave this place a two stars because the food was pretty tasty but if I could give a separate rating for the service, I would give it a one star. Finally got the chance to tried this place but was left feeling disappointed with the very mild to bland taste. Most other Mexican restaurant usually you get both the rice and beans on the sides for entrees, but I had to pay extra to get both sides and again it wasn't worth it as both sides didn't have much flavor. read more

We made a stop here just recently, and could not have chosen a better place. I felt welcomed from the time I walked in, to when I left with my to-go order. The employees were really friendly, and helped with my questions. I had the Tacos Dorados, and it really looked like it in the picture on the menu board. The food was really made fresh, and it seems there was enough food for at least two meals. I am so looking forward to coming back here again sometime soon.
