Had dinner here while visting friends in the area. The place is in a strip center, but is nice inside and clean. It is on the small side, and there was a wait for a table not long after we arrived. Decent beer selection and extensive saki list. I started off with the house salad with ginger dressing. It was a large portion compared to the small bowl of salad you normal get. And the ginger dressing was just right, not too runny, not to chunky. I had the Chef Specialty Roll and the hubby had the Texas Roll. His was spicy and his first bite almost did him in. But it mellowed out after that and was pretty good. My roll was a good combination of fresh tasting ingredients and I love the sauce they decorate the plate with. We also shared a few pieces of super white tuna which just melted in your mouth, sooo yumy! The prices were kinda high in my opinion, so we probably won't be back. Amazing restaurant! It's a little more expensive than other restaurants, but they make it up with quality food. I love going during Lunch. They have great deals! Good meals are General tso chicken, Mongolian beef, and fried rice. Good rolls: salmon roll, shrimp tempura roll, and the C2 roll. Good appetizers: Shrimp Shumai, wonton soup, and miso! This has got to be my favorite sushi restaurant ever! -Their Cuban 8 Roll is mouth watering!!! I want to try other rolls too butttt I can't resist this one! -I always get the Chicken stir-fry Udon....YUM! The flavoring of it is perfect and the chicken pieces are tender, not dry! It's also not all slimy like the udons I have tasted at other places. -BEST Gyoza EVER. That's a must every time I come in. -Spring Rolls(fried) are delicious with that sweet and tangy sauce. -Even the simplest dish like the General Tso's chicken tastes absolutely amazing. They did a great job on finding the right flavoring for everything! -fish is fresh!! -For dessert, I always get the green tea icecream by itself or tempura fried ...YUMMM! I must say out of ALL the green tea icecream that I have had....this place has the best one. It doesnt taste like vanilla ice cream with green tea flavoring. Michiru is a decent place. The restaurant is kind of annoyingly located in a strip mall off of the NASA Bypass. Internally is actually quite nice on the inside, pretty cool decor. The staff seemed very helpful/nice. So far so good, 5 stars - but the real reason you go here is for the sushi, and unfortunately I don't think it meets the hype. The sushi was just O-K and not entirely worth the price because it did seem like it was all show and no taste. Don't get me wrong it wasn't that bad, but not as good as the other sushi places in town. Long Story Short: If you are looking for great sushi I wouldn't say this is the place. Don't let the fancy ingredients fool you, I feel like they try to overcompensate and in turn the sushi takes a hit. Shop Notes: Really nice decor, full bar. Just came here for the first time and we really enjoyed ourselves! I started off with a yummy won ton soup and my husband began with the seared tuna salad which was amazing! Best salad we ever had and the raw tuna made it delicious! My main course rolls were the tuna which is my go to roll anywhere and the New York. New York had a refreshing taste with little apple pieces in it and they served us with the white type of ginger which wasn't too strong and I liked that. My husband also got the New York roll and then the jalapeño shrimp fritters and he loved them a lot. The only thing is that it was a little on the pricier end and probably the most we've ever spent at a sushi restaurant. Staff was very nice and patient, and good about checking up on you and refilling drinks. Over all we enjoyed it and will come back again! read more

This is my favorite sushi place in Houston. I'll back that up with the fact I went through my expenses for the past 3 years and this is not only the sushi place that I've spent the most money at in the past 3 years but overall the most money I've spent at any restaurant in the past 3 years. That being said it is not because it is really expensive. It's just that good. Whenever I come here I get the fried crab wontons. They are delicious fried wontons filled with cream cheese and crab with a sweet and slightly spicy red dipping sauce that really goes well with them. I'm gonna give this place four stars due to there isn't a big selection of rolls that aren't raw. My mom is a sushi lover but not a big fan of raw rolls. I got the rainbow salad which was good. The quality of the fish was good.I did expect it to be a little spicier I wouldn't mind having it next time. Also I got the spicy girl roll. Okay so this roll was good but I would not get it again. It tasted familiar but nothing really special about it. When I first put it in my mouth it was super squishy like mush. I didn't like that texture I like some crunch or firmness. Service wasn't that good either didn't get a refill and my salad came when my moms meal came instead of before. This food here is really good, when it's made/cooked correctly. This visit was mediocre. Our waitress; though very sweet, was slow with our drinks when we go there (10 min) and hardly checked on us at all. We ordered the C2 roll prepared medium rare. Our waitress brought it out and it didn't even look like they cooked it at all. We do love this place, just hope we have a better experience next time and if so, will gladly update my rating. read more

Walked in at about 35 minutes and was very rudely told by the lady at the front that it was going to take a "longg time". So we said okay. Waited 10 more minutes. We literally watched one of our entrees sitting on the sushi station for 10+ minutes just sucking in all the COVID germs. He let us know. Then it continued to sit there another ten minutes before we asked him to get it for us because we had been waiting too long and it was sitting there getting warm. During the time we were waiting we noticed there were only two waiters, no hostess or bartender and at least three chefs and at no time did we see a manager helping the staff that was obviously too busy handle a decent Sunday rush. Wish I could give this place 0 stars. Nothing is wrong with the food, I've actually eaten here before and I think it's a great place. My boyfriend and I went here Friday for a date night - baby in tow, the hostess sat us promptly and was very friendly. Well, 20 minutes go by and NO ONE comes to our table. Not even to offer us water or ask us if we are okay. It's a small restaurant so I feel like it should be pretty obvious if a patron has been sitting there for a long period of time and no one has helped them. There was a manager - possibly owner (dresses on normal business clothes), there while we were "dinning" who passed our table several times with no word. I'm not sure if it was because we had a fussy baby with us on a Friday night and they decided to ignore us? Regardless, we ended up leaving! Obviously, we'd been sitting there for 20+ minutes without a single person saying a word to us. And here's the best part, as we walked out 3 servers told us "thank you" or "have a nice night".
