    Tsukemen (Cold Noodle)
    Matthew O.

Michi is a decent place for ramen in the Wesley Chapel area. The ambiance of the restaurant is pretty nice and quite spacious, so a good place for larger gatherings. Service was friendly, but can be a little slow at times. The food was decent. This is one of a few places in the area where I saw they had Tsukemen (Dipping Ramen). The noodles had good chew and the overall portion size was solid. The dipping broth was also decently seasoned, however I do wish it was a bit more reduced for a more intense flavor. It would have been nice if the dipping sauce was a little warmer since the sauce came out rather lukewarm. But overall, not a bad place. I would not mind coming back again :)

I had been wanting to check this place out for a while and finally made it to have dinner with some girlfriends. I was very excited for the Ramen and all the other dishes but as soon as I walked in, I was hit with a weird odor that was kind of hard to dismiss. As we sat down, the smell kind of went away, but it was still lingering in the air. I ordered a dish and told the server several times to not put a certain ingredient in it as well as a certain protein and it came back with the ingredient on it and the protein I didn't want. Then I had asked to add a different protein to the dish and it wasn't added. I proceeded to ask for the protein that I had asked for and received it all the way at the end when I was finishing up my meal. The server was really nice but the whole experience was just kind of off. I may have to give it a second chance, but we'll see.

Service was the highlight here! I was greeted with a smiling face and superb and quick service, as I noted I had a short period of time due to my lunch hour. The pork buns were disappointing to be honest, but still tasted good. It just wasn't the same sweet flavor I'm used to with a bao bun, but it was a fluffy consistency. The contents of the bun were good, but just didn't carry the depth of flavors I was searching for. The spicy ramen was good, but also nothing to write home about. Nothing particularly wrong here, I just was searching for more flavor. The interior was clean and inviting. The prices were great. I just wanted a little more flavor! Again. I can't say enough good things about the service, and that is the reason for 4/5 stars!

NYC spoiled me in terms of ramen - but this was not bad actually. Tonkotsu broth was thin, but still satisfied. Our server was very friendly and accommodating, definitely made the experience better.

Our revisit has major indicate lack of service attention. We were at the restaurant 11:30 opening hour. There is no customer service at all. We were take it to the table with menu. We have to go to counter to get the waiter attention to put in our order. Then we have go to counter again to get them to bring the check. The service is really not acceptable. We got the Tonkutsu ramen with the black garlic. The ramen soup base and ingredients is good but the black garlic is just the tiny. We also got the curry ramen. I think is overrated. Overall I think take a step back. We use to like them. But with so many ramen choices, that restaurant very hard for my revisit.

It's been awhile since I last visited Michi Ramen - last visit was about 2 years ago - and unfortunately, some things have changed. I loved their Tonkotsu Ramen before which was super creamy and rich, however, the quality has changed. Their Tonkotsu Ramen today was more on the blander side and a bit watered down. They also changed their noodles. Their noodles used to be the chewy, al dente egg ramen noodles but the noodles now seem to be plain, thin, store-bought flour noodles. Their Eel Rice Bowl was pretty good though; it was a large portion with perfectly grilled eel with a sweet and smoky glaze with plenty of rice. Otherwise, service was quick and the food came out in a timely manner. The restaurant itself is spacious and decor was nice. So overall, it was not bad but it was disappointing to see the changes because I was so excited to eat here again.

Our server Milly is hands down THE BEST waitress we have EVER had anywhere. We come to Michi a lot for ramen, and one of the main reasons we come is because We know Everytime we go there, Milly is gonna take great care of us. She's extremely nice, very fast, we get our food immediately, and we're out of there in less than 30 mins. Food is always delicious and everyone there is always welcoming. The best ramen spot.

I have conflicting feelings about this ramen place. I've been here a couple times. The food, specifically the ramen, has been satisfying each time. Service wasn't bad. The ambience is what strikes me. The restaurant is almost too well-lit. It seemed bright in there no matter where you were sat. And then there's the smell. Can only describe it as a "stale" smell. I don't know what it is. But it can really mess with one's eating experience.

3 things about this place: 1. Really nice interior and the front desk person was super friendly and welcoming. 2. I was seated right away and the service was really nice and fast. House Salad, Popcorn Chicken and Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen were ordered and came out quickly. 3. House Salad dressing was slightly on a sweeter side but tasted good. Popcorn Chicken was very flavorful, fresh, and hot. Paired well with the spicy mayo. Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen was very good but wasn't really as spicy as I thought and I can't handle spice. So a little disappointed but it was still good. Overall, definitely recommend this place and I'd be visiting this place more often

    Pork Chashu Bun | 9/7/2022

Wanted ramen after a long flight home and stopped into Michi Ramen. Walked in and the staff was friendly, there was plenty of seating and the entire place was clean. My friends and I started off with the PORK CHASHU BUN, TAKOYAKI and GYOZA appetizers. Highly recommend the buns as the chashu pork was packed with flavor. I then ordered the TONKOTSU RAMEN w/ SPICY CHILLI OIL which is different from my usual order of black garlic. The noodles were chewy and the broth was very tast - NOT SALTY which is #1 issue with other ramen spots. There are so many other things that I still would like to try off their menu so I will most definitely be back when I'm in the area.

Yuzu shoyu with chicken - outstanding broth!

Lil family vacation dinner. All the entrees were delicious and ingredients really fresh. Service was fast and everyone working there was really nice. I've never had yuzu shoyu and it really stole the show! My son had it but I was stealing sips of his broth every chance I got. This was a really unassuming place - wouldn't have guessed how nice it was inside based on the outside, which is really more a fault of the developers of that plaza. Definitely try it out if you're in the area!

One of the few highly rated restaurants in the area that opens until 10pm on a weekday night. It was very busy around 8pm but we were seated right away. The atmosphere is pleasant and bathrooms are clean. We ordered our drinks and food and while the kitchen was a bit slow, the food came out hot and delicious. We had a few "custom requests" like separating out the toppings and rice for the braised pork belly dish - they were happy to accommodate and took care to make the presentation pretty. My kids fell in love with the braised pork dish. Pork buns were juice and yummy.

Tonkotsu Ramen spicy and black garlic with extra noodles

Would have given the place 4 stars but the cleanliness and less than attentive service caused the rating slip. First the food: really good broth and great ramen. The pork in the ramen bowl was way over cooked but other than that it was really good. Good flavor on the broth with the right amount of spice. The noodles were really good and with extra noodle portion was a healthy amount. The spicy edamame were perfect. Tossed in a chili garlic crisp of sorts had a great flavor. I could have had 3 bowls of these alone. Ambiance. Not bad. Kind of your standard Asian ramen place decor these days. The server was nice so don't get me wrong. The food came out fresh and hot each item. But they never really came back for water and soda refills or to see if I needed anything through the entire meal until I finally had to flag them down. Also they brought the check to the table without even asking if I needed anything else, dessert, or anything to go. While I appreciate the check I actually wasn't ready for it yet as I had just literally put down my spoon and chopsticks. The cleanliness of the place left a bit to be desired. The table they sat me at had straws and straw wrappers still on the floor. Then I looked around same problem throughout the restaurant. I don't think they clean the floors at each table turnover. Would go here again for the edamame and ramen though. Just not going to be one I would go way out of my way for in general.

We went around 12pm on a Tuesday and it was perfect, not too busy inside and not too hot outside so we were able to enjoy the scenery. As for food, we got the 4 pack empanadas from Empamama with two Mother Clucker empanadas and two Fresh Prince ones. We paired the empanadas with the bang bang sauce and it definitely added to the flavor, especially the Mother Clucker. The mother Clucker was an 8/10 for me while the fresh prince was a 7/10. The restaurant also offers a margarita slushy and an apple cider slushy which we had samples of and that was good. We ended up getting lemonade and strawberry lemonade from a different restaurant though because we were just feeling that instead. Overall, I spent about $30 here ($22 for food and $8 for drinks). I really emphasize that this is a casual spot and I would come here for a quick mid-day snack rather than for an entire meal. I was definitely still hungry after but the food was enough to hold me over for a couple hours.
