The worker was very kind and happy to give recommendations. She recommended the Tradewinds Club for something lite & GREAT. I order that with no mayo and onion rings instead of fries. Started with a Diet drink and it was brought quickly & GREAT!! Very nice, calm & low key inside. Nice wood bar with much more seating outside of it. Holiday music playing. Cheery. Lots of room! The bender told me they are currently transitioning from Halloween to Christmas. Said they are in the scary Christmas phase right now. Lol! We laughed. Order brought shortly later with "Enjoy!" wishes! Appreciated! Fresh & Tasty Tradewinds Club sandwich! DELICIOUS! GREAT onion rings too! They have ketchup and Tapatio. Used that to dip and add to sandwich to spice it up! FANTASTIC!! Leftovers too! 1/2 was plenty. Bartender had no problem getting me a drink to go and box for my food. Paid for it and left. GREAT service, Pub & lunch! Highly recommended!!

My husband and I went in the other day for lunch and the owner came in with her dog which was on a…read morevery long leash. The dog was walking through the dining area as the owner was bagging up items. Then the dog went behind the counter where drinks and food are served to customers at the bar. Who knows where else the dog goes during off hours if allowed in during business? We cancelled our order and left. We went to another restaurant in town and mentioned this to the owner there and they agreed it was wrong. And also proceeded to tell us rules even concerning service dogs in a restaurant. ( Which obviously is a different situation and they don't roam dining areas). This is California Health Code Violation. Needless to say we won't be eating here again. The Code: H&SC § 114259.5 prohibits live animals inside, citing potential contamination of food, equipment, and utensils.

The room was dusty and dirty as if no one had previously cleaned the room. There was trash in the closet and under the bed filthy and not to mention the bathroom was very dirty. I had to run the water for the longest in order to get hot water, this I understand being that it's an old building but it would have been good to know before hand. I gave the reviews a benefit of the doubt but I will not return. I did mention this at checkout but of course, the maintenance people were to blame for this. I did not get my money back either!

When my wife and I checked in on Thursday, September 4, we were charmed by the desk clerk, Wendy,…read moreand the presentation in the lobby. Making our way upstairs we were glad to have packed lightly. Once on the second floor we each commented how warm and stuffy the hallway was. We found our way to room 14 and were greeted by a nicely finished room with furniture that didn't exactly go with the historic look of the rest of the hotel. Immediately upon turning on the air conditioner we were surrounded by a racket that was deafening. Later, we tried tuning the television to a broadcast station but found that the Amazon remote did not work. The batteries were dead. Plus, there were no instructions on how to use the two remotes and there was no phone in the room to call the desk with questions. Sitting on the bed revealed that the mattress was saggy and uncomfortable and the foot was slightly raised higher than the head resulting in very stiff legs when getting up in the middle of the night. And the repeated cycling of the AC woke us both constantly. Even the FAN setting was extremely loud. The bottom line? We had the worst night in a hotel we have ever had, anywhere. It is unforgivable that the HVAC unit is there in the room with absolutely NO sound insulation around it.
