Legends Tap House & Grill - Steak bites appetizer with chimichurri sauce. That to me it looked and tasted more like strips of tri-tip. We were disappointed.

Never disappointed. That's not true. I am disappointed that there is not a Legends in Hanford,…read morebecause I can either spend good money at a great place or spend money wasting it a chain restaurant for the same price. Best food ever, especially The Legend burger. It is so big, my wife and I have to split it. The best time to go, for us anyway, is during the week for lunch. Not too busy. The restaurant still shares the ambiance of the Spike and Rail and Pea Soup Anderson's whom of which previously occupied the restaurant. Don't let the prices fool you. It may seem pricey, but, once you get your meal and you realize that your eyes were bigger than your stomach, you're going to need that "to go" box. Like I emphasized earlier, the prices are VERY fair for what you receive. For the Karen's who only rated 1 star need to go back to Mickey D's for their 5 star meal. LOL Mike

We sat at the bar and didn't get helped until about 10mins after while they sat everyone else. Unfortunately there was the "bartender" and one waitress for the whole restaurant. So sadly we were attended to as often as we needed. Like when the food came we had no napkins or utensils. We asked for some and took about 5mins to have them brought over. The bartender was very apologetic throughout but instead of saying sorry everytime she saw us help us out. My husband ordered the tritip sandwich with chili. The gave him fries so we had to ask for the chili. I got the pulled pork and sweet potato fries. Everything was good. We ordered a salad to go and it took less time than anything else.

For starters, Daniel by far made the experience absolutely worth every minute and dollar. He was very knowledgeable about the drinks and food and had great recommendations for the customer favorites. His service was fantastic, he was on top of making sure everyone at the Bar had their needs met and was quick to assist everyone when needed. As someone who very much enjoys a quality drink, I would stick my own neck out to recommend what this place has to offer. Their drink menu contains a variety of flavors that satisfies different palates. Daniel let me sample the different flavors and I'm not exaggerating when I say that I was genuinely taken aback how different these drinks were compared to what's on the market. The place overall is pretty spacious, not too bright, really clean, has merchandise, a little arcade area, table seating, and bar seating. The most important thing for me was that it was really clean to include the restrooms. If you enjoy Hard Sodas, Seltzers, and or IPAs, I strongly recommend giving this place a try. The food they serve pairs well with the drinks.

Whether you're dressed up, in sweats, or coming straight from work, the owners and staff always make you feel like you belong. I've never experienced a place so genuinely welcoming. I don't just crave the food here - I crave the feeling of community it brings. The music is great, the events are always fun, and it's hard to imagine Selma without Riley's. I would miss it deeply if it were ever gone. Riley's, please never leave. And to the incredible staff: thank you for always making this our home away from home. You mean more to us than you know.

Well... I haven't…read moreseen a bar this awkwardly depressing in... ever. Unfortunately, it still beats their neighbor rival just called, "Sports Bar" I think it was- for the mere fact that it was OPEN. What the hell is wrong with Selma??? No joke, the exciting "Sports Bar" was locked at 4:30 PM, even though a sign outside was proudly declaring it to be "Happy Hour." Way to piss in my corn flakes, guys... So anyway, we walk past "Sports Bar" and run into 99 Club. It was dead. fucking.silent. NOBODY spoke to us except to ask for ID, which the middle-aged woman at the bar walked over to directly beneath a light, put on her glasses, and stared at for a good minute or two. There was one gray old man quietly drinking a beer by himself at the bar. There was another with a power drill screwing with some shit behind the counter, I couldn't tell what he was doing other than being obnoxiously loud and annoying in what otherwise could have been a fucking Shaolin monk's meditation zen garden. I ask the tavern wench if there were any drink specials. She looked at me as if I asked her for money. I then asked if it was happy hour (since it was next door, I didn't think it would be much of a stretch that it would be happy hour here, as well) and all she said was, "not right now." I asked the wench when happy hour started, and she completely blew me off and sat down at the bar herself. OK, me and my boy had time to kill. We were on a mission in this little shit-stain of a town, and we couldn't go back to Fresno yet. So we go to the back of the bar and play FREE pool (yeah, it looked like a fisher price "my first pool table," but it was FREE) so we played pool, laughed, joked around, and had fun in this SILENT, AWKWARD, bar. And got mean-mugged by all three motherfuckers in the place. Luckily, we got saved by the bell as the phone call we were waiting for came right after the first game, so we got the fuck out. A star for FREE Fisher Price pool, and for not getting a sawed-off shotgun pulled on me for not spending any money.

My friends invited me to join them for brunch in Selma at the curry Cantina due to their new brunch…read moremenu. I had never heard of them and thought why not. The restaurant was definitely on theme with the essence of Latin culture and also had a really nice brunch vibe. We were able to seat ourselves. I will say that we did find service to be very slow as we ordered drinks to the table. It took them some time to get the drinks and we had to prompt the wait staff to let them know we were ready to order our food 30 minutes in to us being seated. The menu was short and sweet but there were many options for breakfast at a great price point. I ordered the blueberry pancakes that came with eggs and bacon. The wait for the food to be served was very long. My group wasn't bothered by it too much because we tried to keep the table full of $2 mimosas. However there was a table next to us who left because after an hour they had only had drinks and no food. When are food was served my pancakes were cold and missing butter. When I asked the staff for butter they brought me cold butter along with cold syrup. Some of the other people at my table did not have that experience their food was warm their butter was melted after realizing that they had missed a few people at the table. The good thing about it was after trying my food I chose to go with a tostada instead as it was also on their regular lunch menu item. I really enjoyed my tostada you could dress it anyway you wanted and it was loaded. There was a really great DJ and she kept a Vibe going the whole time. My party was there till about 2:00. I ended my time there with a coffee that was made to perfection. I believe that the service will get better as the staff get acquainted with having more people in the restaurant. I sort of had the impression that the amount of traffic that they were getting may have surprised them. Hopefully the service time and wait can be shorter. They also let me know that they're doing weekly watch parties for love Island so we may be back for that.

Oh boy, where do I begin. Let me preface this by saying I have been so excited to try this place…read moresince it opened. Once I heard this place was coming to Selma, I thought it was a fantastic idea (two of my favorite food types in one experience!) To say I was severely disappointed is an understatement. Myself and two others decided to give Curry Cantina a shot on a Friday afternoon. We got there 45 minutes after they opened for business for the day. When we walked the place was empty besides the 3 workers in there. During our entire experience, we were the only ones in there during the hour we spent in there. The first issue we had was they did not have a menu up at the time of arrival. Since it was our first time there, this was quite troublesome. We were able to look up a menu online after a few minutes but this is a big inconvenience for us. They were able to get the menu up when we finished ordering. The next issue with our visit was the lack of urgency of care by the employee helping us out. She seemed a bit annoyed that we asked a few questions about how ordering works. We would order something and the employee would walk away for an extended period of time without saying a word or a sense of urgency. From the time we walked in, it took about 15-20 minutes for us to order our 3 items (a bit long considering we were the only ones in there). This employee looked like she wanted to be anywhere but there. Another issue we had was the lack of options available. They only had 1 out of the 4 normal rice options they have on their menu. According to the worker, the others were "not ready yet". You would think that 45 minutes into opening they would be ready for business that day. They also did not have all the protein options available that were on their menu. As far as the food goes, it was nothing impressive. The samosas are frozen and come out of a box, the naan is store bought, and there is a lack of freshness. Part of our food was luke-warm at best when it was served. As far as the space itself, it is dark inside and was not super clean. There appeared to be articles of clothing left on some tables and booths from the event the night before. There were ants crawling on the table I first sat down on. The condiment bar looked messy and the condiments did not appear fresh or cold. Customer service, cleanliness, and quality/ taste of food are the most important aspects to a dining experience for me. This place missed the mark on all 3 of those categories unfortunately. One positive aspect of this places is the prices are really reasonable for the portions you get. You can get a filling meal for less than $10. I normally give places a second chance after a poor dining experience but, after this one; I don't think I will be back anytime soon. Such a bummer as this place has a lot of potential.
