Great bar with nice people. Make sure you open a tab if you're using a card. The guy gets mad lol.

It's still dark, with dark wood tables -- a very old-school bar in the best possible way. It had been so many years that I didn't recognize any servers, but the woman who served us was very friendly, prompt and attentive. We sat at a small table for two in the bar, and we each ordered a drink (beer for him, cider for me) and we split a full order of nachos. They also brought us water without asking which was a very nice touch. Our drinks were good (mine was in a can, so it was exactly as expected). Husband ordered a dark draft beer that he enjoyed. The nachos were good. It was a generous serving and we liked how the meat was thoroughly cooked and we also liked how the chips didn't get soggy. One thing we both noticed is that there was a real shortage of cheese on the nachos, and we both feel like that's a crucial nacho ingredient: we would have liked a significant amount more cheese. Prices were quite fair for what we got. Anyway... it was a real nostalgic trip into 'Stones and we enjoyed it: we'll be back.

Random Valentine's day dinner…read more I never expect to go out on Vday, simply because I hate the crowds and how busy it generally is everywhere-- Nonetheless, it's always nice when my bf surprises me with plans! He made reservations so we didn't have to wait long to be seated. I have been here once before, a verrrrry long time ago but only for the bar, I'm sure. Back when I was bar hopping in my twenties. Never dined here. It was definitely set to be... moody? Very dimly lit, which I don't mind. I love being in darkness lol however, there were a bunch of much older customers dining there and I saw a couple of them shine their flashlight from their phones to see the menu better. They had a decent amount of seats inside and I believe there were some outside too. Our waitress was very spunky and friendly... we liked her. He ordered the Pork Chops (extra crispy), side salad. I ordered the Pesto Ravioli, with I think... Chicken Gazpacho(?) Soup? Something like that. If you can get passed the very thick, chummy texture... it was actually pretty good-- kind of like Clam Chowder? Anyway, he really liked his salad. He thinks all salads should come with raisins lol. He enjoyed his pork Chops-- however, they were not extra crispy like he asked. The rice pilaf that came with the plate wasn't the best, neither of us cared for it (and I normally loveee rice pilaf). The winner on his dish? I think it was the veggies (to me) it was cooked and flavored perfectly. My Raviolis were good, the tomato cream sauce over them was the right touch. Oh, I almost forgot... they gave us a basket of bread and butter (forgot to snap a pic)... I've gotta say, this was probably one of the worst bread I've ever received from a restaurant. We both agreed it seemed like very old bread, it broke apart very easily and felt stale upon biting. The butter didn't help it much either. We normally finish bread baskets-- we only touched the two pieces we tried and that was it... shame. For drinks, he got a beer and I got a pomegranate margarita. Beer is beer to him, as long as it's good. My margarita was good but it definitely was like a more watered-down version I remember getting back when I didn't know (or could afford) quality drinks. I used to pay for margs like that for $3 at Applebee's. Anywho, overall experience wasn't bad. It wouldn't be my first dining/bar choice but I wouldn't be opposed to returning.

During this review this is the newest "hot spot" in Fresno and with my sister's birthday this week…read morewe just had to check it out. Earlier in the week we tried to get bottle service which sounded like a great deal but they had sold out and instead we were put on the waitlist. I just felt bad for the girls because I know that if you don't have bottle service they won't have a place to sit when their feet hurt. We thought maybe this is a good thing since it means it will be popping. We were on the guest list but you had to be there before 1030. Of course we did not get there before 1030. We drove into downtown around 1115 and it was dead. No cars, no people just dead. Pulling up to Chukchansi Park we see life. There was a line of people and the parking lot was packed! We get in line only to be told the guest list was closed. Booo! So we sent my cousins who came up from The OC to work their magic ala Vegas Style. Before you knew it we (the guys) were getting patted to go inside. $10 cover charge. An attendant in the elevator whisks you up to the club which kind of reminded me of the trip up to Rain or Ghostbar in the Palms Casino. Ok not that extravagant but that's what I remember laughing about. Stepping out you see the ballpark lit and downtown Fresno's Skyline in the background. To the right you enter the club which right off the bat was small but packed. It's a long rectangular setup with the dj in the middle left of the dancefloor and the bar all along the right. Two seperate doorways on the left lead you outside to the balcony and stadium seating. All the way to the back is the VIP area and the restrooms. Ordering drinks was pretty quick considering how busy it was but the bartenders were stingy with the alcohol. Bartenders should be smoking hot and these to put it nicely, weren't. We finally got around to seeing the VIP area and I was glad we didn't get the bottle service. There was nothing special about it and people came and went through as that was how you get access to the restroom. Once it got stuffy we were able to go outside and enjoy the view. Lots of seating areas which was great to catch your breathe and socialize. There was a great mix of people and everyone seemed to be having a great time. No fights and no rude people. Even the bouncers were cool. I will say the music was hit and miss. It was a mix of top 40, hip-hop, electro house and mashups. A lot of the hip hop was just stuff we had never heard. Here we had people from Silicon Valley, The OC and Fresno and we were all like wtf is this garbage. They have TVs throughout but instead of playing MTV's I'm 16 and Pregnant they should be playing music videos that go along with the music. When it was time to go I was shocked at how cheap my tab was. Yay for that! Walking out you go back to the reality of how dead downtown is. Of course there was a Fresno PD van parked right outside in the middle of the street. Kind of reminded me of San Jose PD barricades on Santa Clara Street but since there is so much more going on its not as noticeable. But we had no problems with Fresno PD. All in all we had a good time. One of the girls had such a great time, an emergency stop on 180 was necessary to vomit. I can see where there is room for improvement but it's a step in the right direction. I am glad that a promoter is putting faith in Fresno and especially downtown Fresno. C'mon Fresno get down here. Don't be scared! Patronize this place and let's bring nightlife to downtown Fresno.

The club was half empty, the drinks were overpriced, the DJ was terrible, and the small crowd wasnt the best. This was all on Saturday night mind you. There is only one good thing i can say for this club. The patio of this club is the entire baseball stadium. So you can grab a drink, step out into the patio and see the moonlight gleaming off the green field. But this one good thing didn't make up for all the missing attributes. I wouldnt recommend this club to anyone.
