The food was really good and the menu had many options to choose from including all day breakfast. My boyfriend and I had the steak quesadilla, cheesesteaks, french toast, bacon, and milkshakes. I got vanilla and he got a creme sickle and we both enjoyed them. The only problem was my order wasn't right. They forgot the cheese on my cheesesteak and mayo. The waitress took it back and came back with cheese slices that had been toasted on top and mayo in a small cup on the side. Also, another waitress near by was so giving her table an attitude and once they left she searched the table for a tip and was livid when she didn't find one. We normally hit up Andy's for off-hours dining, but decided to check this place out for a bit of variety. I just had a grilled cheese sandwich, nothing special, but I was in love with the fries they came with. The boyfriend had French toast but didn't share, which is usually a good sign. Our server was bubbly and attentive and did a great job with refills. So it's a little tacky and outdated (the tableside juke boxes all have handwritten signs in poor English that say something like "use at your own risk"), but the prices are reasonable and it's open 24 hours, so I'm willing to cut them some slack. read more

I'm used to the Michaels in Bensalem which is so much better than this one. No one knows what they are doing. The service is sub-par and food is ok. It's the closest diner but I will drive to a further one because I'm not coming back anymore. I can't even call in an order to pick up. The guy had no clue what the menu was. Put me on hold every two seconds to check something. Took me about ten minutes to order two things. Awful, just awful. Please work on hiring people who can do their job effectively. Now... I have never been during normal AM hours.... I am typically visiting between 12AM and 3AM... the service is ALWAYS PATHETIC! I dont care its 2 AM....are u in the business of service or not???! I go to school nearby so I've been there many times at 3 am. Their omelettes are great, decent wraps and sandwiches for a diner. I am a french fry lover, and if I could eat their French fries for the rest of my life, I would until I died of heart disease. The fries are crunchy, golden brown, not too potato-ey with a light flour coating. The service is usually semi slow, but I'm usually not in a hurry when I'm there. The waitstaff is usually kind and personable. The place is usually deserted from about 2pm to 5 pm and then from 5am to 7am. Kind of a little outdated hole in the wall, but nice. read more

My bf and I freq here. This place is nice and affordable. It's very easy access to healthy food too. The entrees all comes with salad bar and it has a good variety. Considering the highest price you can get for an entree is less than 20, you get a salad bar, a main dish and a dessert(certain times), this is a good deal. Some of the entrees are not good, I agree with another reviewer about chicken croquettes, don't order it! But the sandwiches are really good. Oh and their breakfast, I love their waffles! We love coming here for brunch. Every few weeks, my girlfriend and I come here for a nice casual brunch. There is always a line of people waiting, but the longest we've had to wait was 15 minutes. It was worth it. All of the other customers are very friendly and most of the staff is great. We have had an unfriendly waitress (which is why I'm giving this 4 stars), but other than her, the staff is wonderful. Food comes out FAST and is always hot and delicious. I'm a bacon lover and the kitchen is very generous in their helpings. The food is very reasonably priced and is worth more than you pay. Best diner in the Philadelphia area. Extensive menu, have had the gyro, Reuben and tuna melt, all tasty and a great value, come with super delicious fries, fried lightly in clean oil. Also have had diner classics like meatloaf, broiled flounder and chicken croquettes. Great prices and entrees come with a well stocked fresh salad bar and tasty homemade soups as well as hot fresh rolls. Cream of broccoli tonight was delicious. We live in Mt Airy near the way over priced and under cleaned Trolley Car, and definitely prefer to drive 10 minutes to Glenside. read more

Been coming to this diner for the past 5 years and I usually always go away happy. Just this past week I had my typical breakfast at 3PM and got a really nice short stack of pancakes, some scrapple and some home fries. Everything cooked well as usual and the waitress staff was VERY cordial. I will say, the service was slightly slow, but overall it's usually a great experience when I visit and definitely my go to diner whenever I'm in the area. I also ordered a slice of the Baclava (did I spell that right? and it was awesome! Definitely have some unique desserts here! Next time I'll try some of the sandwich's and see how we do with that! If you want poor slow service this is the place to go. Took forever to take our beverage order. Free refills limit of 4 where do they do that? Don't drink your beverage too fast the waitress will let you know. The taste of the food was just ok. I had my favorite rueben with the tuffest corn beef I ever had in my life. One thing I can they were slow with EVERYONE. We saw one group of about six just leave because they took entirely too long to bring their food. We will not be going back. The food and service here are horrible! I typically visit after hours and between the unpleasant hostess and the slow and unprofessional servers, I will NOT be returning! They need chik-fil-a customer service training and a serious course in cooking. It's a shame too because it's a nearby diner and would be convenient if it were a viable place of business. The cakes and other pastries in the front case look good, but nothing we ate actually was. The salad bar is lackluster, and the dinner rolls in the nearby case cold as stone. The late-day breakfast foods others were eating looked good, but the dinner items we had -- meatloaf, chicken croquettes -- were subpar. Mashed potatoes were tasteless, mac and cheese one-note and average at best. Soup wasn't very good, either. Service is friendly and quick, though. Overall, low-end diner food. read more

From a former Arcadia student's point of view, Michael's is the epitome of convenience, seeing that it is right across the street from campus. It's great if you want a place that serves breakfast all day or just want to go and get a milkshake or a piece of pie late at night between studying and doing homework. Wasn't a busy Sunday, and the service was slow. Our waitress was adorable and super kind, but didn't pay much attention to the table. My eggs Benedict was awful. The eggs were cooked to the center, and not runny- how eggs Benedict is supposed to be. Onions are almost raw when they were asked to be put in the homefries. They pay very good attention and service their regular quickly. Hard to watch when you need a knife or a refill on a drink and they're treating their regulars like Kings/queens. I grew up eating them and they remind me of back in the day. Well, they were not good. You can tell they were bought frozen from the frozen diner food supplier. I used to love coming here, especially after hours. The food here is of very poor quality. Everything tastes old. Today I had the roast beef sandwich... It was very salty and was more on the old school cafeteria level, just nasty. I then had ice cream for dessert. It tastes like it's been in the freezer since the beginning of the year. I've been wanting to try this place. It's right across Arcadia University and right off PA309. Service started off being really slow. No drinks, water or waiter. Menu is typical for a diner: lots of choices. The salad bar was good and a decent selection. The waiter problem apparently was a result of miscommunication. Clam chowder was good. Had the fried shrimp and scallops with generous portions. The scallops didn't have much flavor which is okay, the natural sweet flavor was able to come out. I didn't care for the shrimp. French fries is the kind with a batter coating. The meatloaf was okay, mashed potatoes were good. Had to try the desserts. Either there's a problem with the refrig they have them kept or they don't sell much desserts. The exposed sides were dried out for both the lemon meringue and light side of the moon.
