Looking for good diner food and we were pleased with our experience. Victoria, our server, was great. After explaining that it was our first time she took a few minutes to explain the menu and the specials. She was funny, and attentive and a true pleasure. Wife had the turkey club which was stacked with meat and a lot of bacon. She liked it. My daughter had the early bird special of broiled salmon which came with a side, salad bar and a cup of soup AND dessert. She loved it. I had her soup which was hearty and perfect on a raw November afternoon. The soup was chicken rice and I would get a bowl of it next time. I got a grilled cheese with bacon. Lots of bacon. This place is generous with their bacon. Alex likes that! Took a piece of strawberry shortcake home. Huge piece and very good. A little regret that I didn't get the chocolate cake too. There's always next time! Check the photos out. Prices are very reasonable. Food was a solid 3 but Victoria brought it to a 4

So today I decided to have breakfast at Michaels Diner! It's been a long time since I ate there, close to 3 years! Everything was cleaned, tables, silverware, my waiter was very nice and he checked on me a few times! The food was delish especially the western omelette!! Great service!!!!

    Mozzarella Sticks

I placed a delivery order and ordered mozzarella sticks. Unfortunately there was no cheese in my mozzarella sticks. I tried to get a refund and the restaurant "denied the refund request due to the reason that the employee of the restaurant pack the order herself and she thinks the cheese got hard because this is a delivery order." I have ordered mozzarella sticks from there before (being delivered) and never had this issue. Highly disappointed!

Michaels reminds me of the Greek delis that were on so many corners in Manhattan over 20 years ago. The menu is quite extensive and it's open 24/7. I was here after flying cross country and leaving the airport after 10 pm. The food places at the airport were closed. I am allergic to eggs and cheese, so it always limits my menu choices. I wanted to have the veal, but it's dipped in egg before it's breaded. I had a burger and sweet potato fries. The burger was huge and flavorful. It was on a nice bun with iceberg lettuce and tomato slices. A quarter of a dill pickle was also included. Surprisingly I did not like the sweet potato fries. Unlike the sweet potato fries I get in California, these were a light yellow color, not sweet and mealy textured . Our friend told the waiter and he quickly brought me regular fries. They were very good--crispy twice cooked. The ice cream looked good and the portion was generous. Coming from California, I was amazed at the value. The burger was less than $6 with regular fries! A nice burger with fries back home would be over $10.

In the region of the USA where diners originated, Michael's is your typical Mid-Atlantic diner. It's also one I really like for a couple of reasons. The first is that Michael's is a very friendly place from the moment you walk in. This is true even if you are not a regular customer. Second, it serves as an inexpensive but hearty eatery for such a cross-section of people. Literally all walks of life hit-up Michael's at some point or another - from the college kids at the University across the street to the lonely old man living alone in a nearby apartment to a family out for an inexpensive meal. Fortunately the food adds to its pleasant atmosphere. I recently had a bowl of tasty lobster bisque followed by an ample and delicious gyro sandwich accompanied by fries and slaw. This all came at such a low price that I was amazed. And my server Allison was as friendly and multi-tasking as an excellent waitress should be. The large menu at Michael's is def on the downhome old-fashioned side but sometimes that's just what is needed!

Me and my family love Michael's. All the waiters are so kind and caring. I like the French toast with homefries, scrambled eggs with cheese, and sausage. If you like diner food and your food orders consist of simple breakfast food, I suggest going here!

Haven't dined here in years but the quality of food is just as I remember when I worked 11pm - 7am at a nursing facility, where I use to order during the early morning . I will be returning again soon . The server was ok . No wait we were seated immediately which is a plus at lunch hour

Wonderful diner with great staff. Food is great for hangovers and comfort. Under renovations now so it doesn't look the best.

As soon as I walked in, I was warmly greeted by one of the owners. It's a husband-and-wife team, which always earns bonus points in my book. I was promptly seated, given a menu, and immediately overwhelmed--in the best way--because everything sounded amazing. I ended up asking the owner for help deciding, and I'm so glad I did. I chose the chicken and dumpling soup (they rotate specialty soups weekly) and a loaded sweet potato. The soup was incredibly flavorful--slightly saltier than my personal preference, but thankfully I tasted it before adding anything. The thyme flavor really stood out and made the dish comforting and delicious. I'd absolutely recommend it if it's available when you visit. The loaded sweet potato was topped with jerk chicken, one of my favorite seasonings. You can adjust the heat, and I went with how it comes--very hot! I loved it. Spicy, bold, and full of flavor, with the sweet potato cooked to perfection. They also offer unsweetened, fresh-brewed iced tea with free refills, which is always a huge plus for me. The café itself is small, but while I was there, there was a steady flow of people coming and going--it's clearly a popular hometown spot. Everything on the menu looked fantastic, so I'll definitely be making a return trip to try something new. They serve both breakfast and lunch, and they also offer catering, which makes this spot even more appealing whether you're stopping in for a quick meal or looking to feed a group. If you're in Jenkintown, I highly recommend stopping by Welcome Home Café. You won't regret it.

The staff seems to skew much younger during weekends, but no difference - the service is always attentive and friendly. We love that they give you a carafe of coffee so you can refill at your own pace. The food has always been great the half dozen or so times we've been there, and the crispy home fries we had today (maybe it's a Sunday special as we'd never had them during the week), but regardless, they're a hidden gem.

People would get up and pay, and took quite some time before any of the staff that we're just standing around, took the time to clear the table and prep it for the next party ((who were all waiting to be seated - we were second in line with many after us)). It was well over a half an hour to be seated when we were quoted 5 to 10 minutes and three tables up and left with their table sitting uncleared as we all waited patiently in the rain. Our food was decent, but served cold, but at that point, we really just wanted to satisfy our hunger and get on with celebrating the main man of the day. We chalked it up to a busy holiday so I didn't want to rush online to write a substandard review without giving them another chance. So, we came back again during the week to give it a fair assessment. We sampled the breakfast sandwiches that were on their specials that include coffee/tea. The verdict... basic. Our waitress today was super lively and eager to serve. With a pep in her step we wished she had been here to rally the troops on Sunday. Our drinks were brought out quickly and our sandwiches.... were... sandwiches I'd like to say more, but there's not much to say. The Village Diner definitely did not live up to what I expected from a Keswick village restaurant. It could definitely benefit from a deep, thorough cleaning as the windows looked as though it has been a long time since they were cleaned. The windowsills peeling and an overall state of age and neglect throughout the small cramped diner. I wanted to be positive and I wanted to give them a fair chance, but after two times with less than satisfying meal, I would be hesitant to recommend and definitely would not be returning.
