Valerie is an EXCELLENT teacher-- fun, engaging, and most importantly, flexible. All three of us were at different levels and she was able to gauge our abilities and figure out common things she could teach all three of us while allowing us to pursue our own projects. It was easy to book a lesson and she was very responsive. Not only were the lessons great, the store is beautiful! There is a huge selection of yarns and even better, lots of samples to inspire. The shop is well-lit, comfortable, and roomy. I am already looking forward to our next lesson!

Valerie is a delight to talk to and has always been helpful for all my knitting needs. I would check with Valerie before ordering from anyone else, because I know her prices will be competitive, and my order will be processed and sent out immediately. If ever I am in that area, you can bet I am going to visit this magnificent store!

The good: - Friendly owner and customers who were taking a class - variety of yarn qualities Not as great: - was not offered to wind the skeins of yarn so had to hand wind it - not necessarily their fault but not liking the $40+ skein of yarn I bought as it's pilling a lot (I hand wound it loosely)

The WONDERFUL PEOPLE in this store STITCHES BY THE SEA, gave my mom a business card to a yarn store 3 cities away. So very nice and thoughtful. I don't know if the stores know each other or not, the vibe they put out there made me what to do something nice for them, hence a Yelp review. This wonderful little shop is for cross-stitching and such as the like. I will be going in there one day soon bc of how kind they were to my mom. Thank you very much!

I was greeted quickly by one employee who walked away. However, another woman with short hair came up and asked if I had been in before. When I said I had not, she took me on a brief tour of the store, including pointing out the sake section and restroom. She even checked in with me when the original employee was struggling with a phone call and I was waiting to check out for some time. The store is laid out by yarn weight except for a separate baby yarn section. A lot of variety in all yarn weights and plenty of goodies to browse. Thankfully for my wallet I had to fit everything in a carry-on for the flight home so I just got yarn to start a quick project. However, I could see myself coming back next time I am in FL to browse (eh, buy) again!

At least that's my philosophy so I can excuse my very out of control habit of buying New York and I already have boxes at home! This morning I found exactly what I was looking for, I went on the app and had a 30% off coupon plus I get my teachers discount at Michael's as well so I saved a nice bid and that is also a reason I love Michael's.
