With Christmas around the corner, I was in the market looking for a small tree for my place. Since I have been a Michael's member for a long time, I received an email alert of their Christmas Sale, especially their Black Friday and DoorBusters. On the app, I came across the 4ft. Pre-Lit Lakewood Spruce Artificial Christmas Tree, Warm White LED Lights by Ashland. This tree was one of the DoorBusters promoted. I called to verify and unfortunately they sold out, but had the other option, with the colored light. So I decided to go to Michael's and check it out. When I arrived, I came across the display for the 4ft. Pre-Lit Lakewood Spruce Artificial Christmas Tree, Warm White LED Lights by Ashland up close on display. I asked one of employees if they will be getting more and unfortunately they are not. They sold out within minutes because these were part of DoorBuster Deals they had advertised. I was looking for an associate and came across Daisy. I asked if it was possible if I could purchase the display. She told me that she had to ask the manager for approval. I was granted and was able to purchase the display. I asked Daisy if they had the original box that came with it. She told me that she was going to check and see. Unfortunately, there was no box anymore. I asked if I could get a box of the other tree (colored lights). She went above and beyond and constructed the tree and gave me the box. The customer service I received from Daisy was outstanding and it showed that she was willing to help me out. My overall experience was great and the assistance from Daisy, made it enjoyable. In my personal opinion, I would recommend Michael's and this was my first time coming to this location and will continue to do so. I recently went here and the store looks great and awesome for Christmas. So many amazing decorations to pick from. I went in for Christmas gift wrapping supplies and they didn't have any wrapping paper yet. So I ended up going elsewhere for what I needed since I needed it right away. They have switched to self checkout machines. I'm not sure how I feel about them. They only have 2 regular registers and they were using them mostly for returns. It was definitely a learning curve. I had a gift card and the employee had to come help me and she had to swipe it at least 8 times to get it to read it. Most of the employees were at the front helping with the new registers. Only a couple on the floor. I ended up finding a bunch of cool stuff to go on my craft cart though. Over all a great visit but they didn't have what I was going in for and the self check out isn't necessarily my favorite. read more

I went to this location back when it was an Aaron Brothers to get my Daft Punk poster framed. I paid a hefty price but the quality of work was worth it. Fast forward about 15 years and now its a Michael's!!! I came here to get one of my autographed Deftones posters framed. The store is huge, very friendly staff. I felt right at home and everyone was wearing masks! Now that I'm making Guns n Roses ('86 - '91) money I had no problem paying top dollar. I met one of the frame specialist named Jason and we go over the different types of frames and mats. I felt very comfortable with Jason and asked a ton of questions. The total charge was way cheeper than I expected!! This will now be my Go To place for my frames. I have a 25 year collection of concert and movie posters I will be getting framed. Now that I'm older and not spending all my money on hot skinny babes or single moms (my greatest weakness) I have enough to get all my posters framed. The prices were beyond reasonable, the service is above what I was expecting. Deff ask for Jason if you're going to get something framed. They also have a great selection of do it yourself frames. I was immediately told that I couldn't come behind the counter to look at the frames on the wall. Gasp. How does one select a frame from 10 feet away??? I then told the clerk what I was looking for and she selected some frames and placed them on the counter. I was able to select one and the clerk began measuring my art work. I told her that I wanted it cut down. She then said, "Oh, we aren't allowed to cut any artwork." Another barrier. I rolled up my artwork and walked out. Getting there: This Michael's is located in Citrus Plaza. If you're heading east on the 10 fwy, the easiest way to get there is exit Alabama, take a left and enter into the plaza near the Target and keep driving down and you can't miss it. There's plenty of parking, but it gets crowded. Experience: I've been coming to this Michael's for years! They normally have what I need, unless there's a particular season and everyone is buying the same thing I am (hence Sorority Big & Little week). Not a good visit today. I was shopping for supplies for my dads 65th birthday party and I asked an associate for the aisle for the wooden dowels to put my cricut creations on for centerpieces. So disappointed to come to do curbside pick up and be told at 6:18pm that they will not bring items to my car for their "safety". They don't do curb side after 6pm. This would of been great information to know prior to coming to do curb side. I went for random shopping and to see the easter deals because bunny season and one of my favorite types of decorations , found the diy shoes , found generic bunny ribbon that didn't have Happy Easter or Happy Spring on it even found fabric markers with the help of the super friendly employee who's name i forget. Anytime I go to this specific location of Michaels it's always a hit or miss. Either the employees are super helpful and nice or they make me want to never come back again. This last time I went in it was the latter and I am so happy I don't have to come back to Michaels for a long time. I've been in and out almost everyday getting things I need for my sisters baby shower and almost every time I've been in the employees have been super rude. I bought $500 worth of florals and they gave me grief about having to return a couple of jars I didn't end up needing. I hate when places treat you like crap because you have to return something. I bought a paper cutter that I needed to return because the blade didn't work and the girl helping me refused to return it because it was open. I'm returning it because it doesn't work so obviously it had to be opened for me to know that. Not only this, if you ever buy a large quantity of heavy items don't expect them to even offer you a box. I bought $200 worth of chargers and they were really heavy and when I asked for a box the cashier told me to just come back and forth and carry them out to the car. I've been a Michael's customer since the Redlands, California store opened. Today I went in to buy a package of candles for $5.00. There used to be multiple cash registers operated by humans, but now there is just one. The rest are self-checkout terminals that do not take cash. I waited in line for about fifteen minutes, and an employee asked if I was using a card or cash. I said "cash", and she said "I'll help you over here." I followed her, she scanned the box of candles, and I handed her a $10.00 bill. She said "Oh, sorry, I can't take cash here." I said "but you asked me if I was using a card or cash, and I said 'cash'". So I had to get back in line to wait for the one, single human cashier. When I eventually got there, she scanned the candles, pushed buttons, scanned them again, and pushed more buttons. She stopped and looked around the store, apparently for someone to help her. I said "is there a problem?", and she said "it won't scan." At that point, I said "this is ridiculous. I'm going to Hobby Lobby," and I walked out. I went to Hobby Lobby, and they had five registers with five human cashiers operating them. I spent about a minute in line. Not only that, but Hobby Lobby has more stuff than Michael's. I can't think of any reason to ever go back to Michael's. Michael's has lost a customer. read more

Amazing Christmas Experience I usually have a great time at this Michael's, but this time they went above and beyond for us. Christmas shopping can be stressful, and we were looking for white Christmas bulbs everywhere which apparently everyone else was looking for since there were none left to be found. An employee named Christy, someone who examples Christmas happiness, helped me try to find some. As my family and I were at the cash register, Christy returned and showed us these beautiful white and sage ornaments! Someone had just brought them in, and these were some that she was considering buying herself. They were gorgeous! We weren't going to take them at first bc we didn't want to take them off her hands, but she insisted that we take them. We were so touched by her selflessness and her investment in us. 'Reluctant' because my artistic skills are lacking ;) lol and choosing a frame, mat, etc seemed like a daunting task. Jordan took a look at the painting and went to town choosing frames and liners, providing several different options. As her coworkers walked by they each selected another option.
