I LOVE Michaels, and this one is my favorite! .It's always well stocked on their supplies and the associates are very helpful. Since I was a youngster, I always dabbled in art, and Michaels makes it really easy to assemble my supplies! I have always sewn too, I know, a lost art and sill and this is where I get my threads! Fabrics, I can always get somewhere else, but threads? They have the best selection! Jo-Ann Fabrics? Well, they are closing, but I have gotten better threads here at Michaels anyways. Stopped in at Michael's today to do a return and find some fabric paint. The gal working at the register was amazing and very chipper. She seemed like she enjoyed her job there. It was nice to see! I was looking for white fabric spray paint and that was the only color they were out of stock on... ugh! Next time I guess or Amazon. I prefer venturing here vs JoAnn's for most of my crafting needs. It's easier to find and more organized. I can typically run in and out and the checkout line is faster too. Thanks for the great service. read more

I had two signed, numbered and very valuable aviation prints framed by Michael's and when I did they (as per my instructions) mounted the certificate of authenticity on the back of the frame. These prints lose their value if cut or the certificate is lost. So I brought in three more aviation prints with the certificate of authenticity to have the same framing job done. One of my Prints, one valued at over $1400, they misplaced the certificate. As per the manager, the framing department was a mess and lacked organizing but they assured me I would get it back. That was in March 2021. It's June now and many many calls, they kept pushing me off, ignoring me. I asked for a plan in writing, they refused. Then they started telling me I never brought in the certificate of authenticity! I own over 20 of these prints and all the certificates were shrink wrapped with the artwork! I asked for an email address to communicate via email, but the Manager Ryan, wouldn't do it. When I went in person, and asked for something in writing about their plan to replace the lost value of the print, he refused. He said his boss offered a 1/2 price discount on their screw up. So basically to give me $150 for the loss of value of a print worth $1400. These prints are signed by the pilots who flew in WW2 and are not available anymore "new". So it must be purchased on the secondary market for artwork. Not only do they do crappy work by destroying the value of artwork, but they also lie, bully, and ignore a customer when there is a problem. I would recommend never bringing anything of value to this store to have it framed. I will be taking them to court over this issue. Oh I might add that he would only talk to me in private, away from other customers and when I asked for my print, outwright lied to me so another customer didn't think they did anything wrong. He also threatened to kick me out of the store for stating the obvious about how they were treating me. read more

If I could give them a negative I would. This is the first time that I've been in a Michael's Maple Grove, MN and both of the staff was awful. First the black woman with gray an white braids had a bad disposition when I asked her a question. If you don't like your job and don't want to be asked anything then you shouldn't be working in any stores with people. I ignored that incidence. I found the item and went to check out and I was the only one waiting to check out with cash. A woman that was doing returns and checking out people with cash was waiting on the manager, for another customer. At the self check out there was a white woman and I'm black she rang this woman up before me and I mentioned it to her and the cashier stated oh, I didn't know that which was a lie because she asked me if I had cash only and needed to be checked out. After that second incidence I left the merchandise and walked out. Horrible service will never shop at this Michael's with service like this Michael's may not stay in business for long. read more

Sad, but after what I found out today, will no longer be a Michael's customer. Went in to get crafting supplies for the kids that I mentor for confirmation at my church. When I asked where some of the religious themed stickers to scrapbooking where, I was informed that recently the store was told to pull all the religious themed stickers. I then asked if they had them in the back room to still purchase and was told by the manger that they were instructed to SHRED them - not even donate to an organization that could have used them, but to destroy them. I love Michaels Store but not this location, they are just plain rude. I said "Hi" to the cashier, all I got was a sour face and my total! If you don't like working there, get another job, if your just having a bad day, suck it up and at least put on a smile for the customer! read more

Poor customer service from Manager Luann, she was very rude and had the worse attitude ever. I had an issue regarding using a coupon and the answer she gave me was wrong I called customer service and they apologized for my experience and the for the wrong information that was given and sent me some great coupons. I wouldn't recommend this location at all, poor, poor customer service. read more

I called the store and spoke with the manager, Eric, about an item with a warranty that I wanted to return. This is the very busy Christmas season, but he took the time to check and verify over the phone that the item was in stock and that he would honor the warranty and exchange the item. Eric was waiting at the door of Michael's when I arrived, and made the exchange for me without having to wait in the long customer service line. Very, very rude. I asked if an item was in stock, and the employee looked put out that she needed to help me. The cashier also seemed upset that she had to help and annoyed that I had a question. We tried to get help in back, but everyone was busy. I will not be visiting this store again. Ended up leaving without purchasing anything. I will shop elsewhere. The Michael's store in Plymouth is much friendlier and much more helpful. read more
