This store have been on the upswing lately. The staff has been helpful and the shelves seem better stocked. The online 20 percent coupon I get almost every week is very useful and helpful. They have a large selection of Cricut stuff which is what I primarily buy there. I also enjoy the holiday specific aisles. This wasn't my favorite location for a long time but the service and cleanliness is improving and I like that. It's the closet one to me so I hated going farther to shop the store by SW Plaza. I enjoyed my visit today. I will return again soon.

I had such a wonderful experience at the Michael's on 2780 Colorado Blvd. and I think that particular store's framing team is contracted with Aaron Brothers. The framing was not cheap but the results were so awesome, my pictures are always praised for the framing. Due to the expense, I will shop around for my current prints before choosing them again, but I am beyond happy with what they made for me!

    Pony Beads wrong price

I went in and purchased several bags of Pony Beads, and the price is $1.99. When at the checkout it was $4.99. I went back to verify it was $1.99 and their manager on duty Chris stated their computers is the absolute price and there is nothing they can do about it. Chris stated to me if you don't like the price return it and you can leave. After spending thousands of dollars and using Michael's as a primary craft store I will NEVER go back. And my crafting platforms will know how horrible this location and Chris was to their customer.

I don't leave reviews often, but I can't let this one go knowing I look at it every day. The frame department is horrible. From scheduling an appointment, getting help, not paying over price. Don't think your actually getting a discount, they just want you to feel like your getting a good deal with "60% off". Then, once I get everything set up, it's 5 weeks before I have to stop by and bug the guy named Chris, about my order. He calls me later that afternoon to pick it up. The absolute worst framing job I've ever seen. Edges not lined up, frame not fitting to size. And after waiting 5 weeks and paying over price. Don't ever, ever, go here.

Large parking lot shared with other businesses, can get crazy. Staff is usually non-existent or snotty when approached. Lines at the registers -always. I'm not as crafty as i used to be, but i am in here every couple of months getting something or other. I can not usually find a staff member when i need one, register kiddos are less than thrilled to be there (not sure why they even work there). As other's have said, you go looking for something - for me - wide elastic band. Took me forever to find the 2 packages of elastic there were nothing near what i needed. The woman i requested of where i might find it was pretty snippy. It was unclear if she was simply doing inventory or working there, so when i asked - do you work here, i got attitude and a snuff... sigh. Luckily i usually know what i want in a michael's and can find it on my own. This is the one closest to my house, so i'll be back, i'm sure.

When they have a BOGO sale you can save a lot of money. I needed large print frames and saved $150.

I came across Knitters Therapy last week. I had never visited the store or had even heard of them…read more- but now, I tell everyone about this locally owned gem! I was looking for a store that carried gems and maybe some jewelry. I was surprised because this store came up under "arts & crafts" which I do neither. In any case, I stopped in and instantly knew I was going to spend way too much time there. Upon entering I immediately noticed there was so much more than yarn and art supplies. I beelined straight for all of the jewelry. I was greeted by the owner, Shawna and her vicious guard dog, Tiny, the chihuahua. I spent over an hour asking so many questions about stones and their meanings, it was fascinating. Shawna did not seem to mind at all! I noticed they also have a lot of literature on Reiki, something I have heard about but never really looked into, so maybe that will be next. Shawna told me they offer knitting workshops too, it's definitely a knitters/artist like community. OK, back to the jewelry. They have charms, earrings, bracelets, necklaces and pendants both big and small. There is something for everyone. They have masculine pieces, feminine pieces and unisex pieces. The prices are extremely reasonable, especially the handmade pieces. They have pieces to fit anyone's budget. The handmade pendants are a work of art. They have very simple ones and very intricate ones. I purchased three items. The first is a small and simple blue, white, and black Jasper pendant, which I wear with a simple silver chain. The other two pieces I will treasure for a very long time. For myself I purchased a handmade pendant made of copper with moonstone and black tourmaline. I wore it out that night and received so many compliments on it, and people asked me so many questions about it! I purchased the other pendant for my friend who does not wear any jewelry but was blown away by the artistry and has always loved labradorite. He has not taken it off since I gave it to him! His pendant is also hand made with copper. What's interesting...these were the first two pieces I gravitated to - but still had to look at every piece in the store at least three times, but always came back to those pieces. Shawna told me about the different stone properties - and it just made too much sense why I gravitated to these pieces! Even if jewelry isn't your thing, or you aren't familiar with certain stones, knitting, or Reiki, I still recommend visiting this store. There is so much to look at, learn about, and admire. It is very accessible with plenty of free parking. I will definitely be back, perhaps after my next paycheck because I already made a list of what I want to purchase next! Thank you Knitters Therapy!! These pictures are of the handmade copper with labradorite pendant. I will be purchasing a matching chain soon, but for now, my friend doesn't seem to mind!

Definitely the worst Michaels location I've ever been to. Firstly, I went to this store to pick up…read morea frame. When I got home I realized that the frame was cracked, chipped, and wasn't even in any original packaging (found this out once I went to a different location to return it). The inside sheet with the sizing was all crumpled up like it had been returned before. Then I needed to order a mat for the frame. This is probably the most irritating thing I've ever had to do. Whoever works in framing is so slow, only talked in questions, has no clue what she is doing, and talks rudely. I'm pretty dumfounded that someone like that can even work there. When I ordered the mat it was as if she had no clue how to do anything or even know what mats they had. "I think we have these, I think it's this price" etc. It took a whopping 30-45 minutes just for her to make this order and give me the receipt. Should have taken not even 5 minutes because I knew what I wanted. When I went to pick up the mat, she couldn't find it, proceeded to ask me "is this one the right one?", like how am I supposed to know. For her to just say "well I think this might be it so here you go". When opening the order herself, she asked me "Can't you help!" all snarky, backhanded, and rude. Like what do you mean, this is your job, and how do you think you can talk to a customer like that? Get home to find out it is either the incorrect order or made incorrectly. It's for a 24 x 36 inch frame and is literally cut larger than that. I repeatedly said it needed to be 24 x 36 inches, for it be cut 1/4 to 1/2 inch larger on each side. How hard is it to cut 2 feet by 3 feet? How hard is it to label an order with a name or even just an order number? I then had to call 5 times just to be connected to framing because they kept denying the transfers. At least they are remaking it, crossing my fingers I'll actually get what I ordered. Will definitely NEVER be going back to this location. I debated on not even trying to go there again for the remake and going to a different location, so we'll see how this continues. Extremely disappointed.
