Very nice, organized store. Greeted when I walked in. The team was very friendly, and helped me find everything I needed.

Whenever I've been here they have a sale which I appreciate. The customer service is a hit or miss, you usually have to find someone if you have a question rather than them asking if you need anything. It appears like they were short staffed last time I went. Anyway I found the paint I was looking for, on sale and confirmed with a worker the paint would work for a D.I.Y. Project I had. The paint was true to the color, I chose copper, rose gold and forest green which I recommend. They also have a good sale on wooden ornaments that you paint/color yourself. read more

This one definitely isn't my favorite store. I showed up to watch a Peep Dipping Demo for 3:00 PM today. I showed on time, but they weren't ready. I was confronted by an arrogant and rude attitude, so she must've been having a rough day. The young associate was taking the chocolate warmer out of the box. No big deal. I asked if I should come back, only to be told this was not a craft, it was a demo, and I wasn't going to do anything but watch. OK, not sure why I was told that because I believe I knew what I'd signed up for. I asked again, but she wasn't answering me...so I walked around the store. Walking around the store I had 3 different people ask me where things were. I wasn't sure if they couldn't find a store associate, I looked friendly, or I looked like I worked there. Haha. It's all good. But each person mentioned how hard things were to find, and stock was very low. Later I went back around to the Peep stand to see if I could learn anything, but they were busy talking to other people. I took a peek at the Peeps that had been dipped in different types of chocolate (one was even a pearly punk), and they just looked like partial Peeps (an ear, the feet) dipped in different chocolate. Out of the whole time I was there (over 30 minutes), i didn't see anyone working at this store...except for the demo lady. read more

I love the free (or nearly free) events they host called "Make Break". My son and I have been to 3 so far and have a great time. It can get kind of hectic but the employees always stay calm even though there is like chaos and glitter all around them lol. As far as the store itself goes, I'm lucky if one employee even acknowledges me (other than the nice cash register ladies). But I'm resourceful and can usually find what I need by myself. Michaels regularly sends me coupons by email. I stopped in today at 1:00pm to pick up cake pop supplies for my grand daughters school project. Imagine my shock when I pulled up my new coupon to use it, only to find out it wasn't good for TWO MORE HOURS! IM BEING SERIOUS!!! The clerk told me I couldn't use the coupon until 3:00 pm!!! It was 1:00 pm and I mentioned that. She rudely told me, you can't use it till 3:00!!! Sorry. Then moved forward with my transaction. THIS IS SO RIDICULOUS!!! 2 damn hours!!!! REALLY MICHAELS? The store has minimal staff to assist customers when there are questions. The two young people working up front that insist on wearing masks either need to remove them or learn to speak up! It is ridiculous to have to continually ask them to repeat because they are speaking quietly behind a thick mask. Hire people that can either work without a mask or train those that insist on wearing masks to speak more clearly. read more

Crafts! Crafts! Crafts! That's pretty much how I feel when I walk into a Michaels. Besides the occasional homemade Christmas card or seasonal decor I don't come to Michaels much for myself. My +1 is a painter, which brings me here for "stand around while she makes a decision about paint brushes" time. But there's usually something seasonal or otherwise interesting to draw me in. The few times I've come here for a home decor item or to make a Christmas card I've been able to find what I need at a good price. They are conveniently located near my home, which is a plus. And Michaels app has coupons and the staff is helpful and checkout process moves pretty quickly. Thumbs up and four stars for Michaels! read more

Don't come to their framing dept. Awful customer service. Girl had no ideas and looked at me like I should know exactly how I wanted it framed. Even told me I could just help myself to the samples hanging on the wall and choose which one I wanted. Isn't that what she's been trained to do? She was looking at her watch so her mind was obviously not here. Do yourself a favor and go to the Southlake location. I went there and got my print framed exactly as I hoped thanks to Shaun. I'm not sure it is fair for me to review a place like this. I dutifully accompanied my lovely wife as she set off on an adventure across this store to get her chores done. She walks in and immediately loves the flowers on the left. Then she loves this, that, and the other. This is one of those stores that I don't know what to say about. I don't shop at places like this, but my wife does. She commented during our trek across the store that she felt it was one of the better stores for finding items that she wanted. I usually enjoy my experience at all Michael's. Today I had to make a return at the one in Keller. I stopped by the front door and asked the person at the register where I needed to go and her response was get in line. So we walk around with our return, set it on the counter. The only way we were acknowledged was when she asked if we wanted to put the return on our card. The transaction was completely. I said thank you. Next on register 1 was her comment. read more

Hateful not helpful. I went in there looking for a glass etching tool. The woman greeted me with a nice voice, but as soon as I asked where I would find one her demeanor changed immediately. I patiently waited for her to look on her device to see if they carry them. The young lady beside her suggested I go online. I continued to wait to see if she might find it available in store. When she found that they don't, she said in a very abrasive tone " we don't carry tools like that here, just like we don't carry a drill, or screwdrivers" when I explained it's for crafting on wood and glass as well (holding she could look in a different department maybe?) she reiterated more irritated with like I said we don't carry TOOLS. Just wow. Maybe she was having a bad day or something but no excuse. I would have tried the cream etch if she wasn't so nasty about it. I left, and can promise I won't be back. read more

This place is a cluster. They are doing inventory or something of that nature while the customers are shopping (which is completely understandable), but the items are scattered all up and down the isles on the ground. They have their buggies with boxes at the beginning of the isles where you can even get down them and good luck getting down them with a cart anyways. There is just crap everywhere. Very disappointing experience with this Michaels today. I've had several posters framed by them in the past few months. Today-I arrived with the last poster-wanting to frame it like the others. After waiting for almost a half hour, I was told the frame I wanted wasn't on sale today but would be tomorrow. The salesperson asked if it was ok to give me the sales price today. Her department mgr told her no way-I'd have to come back tomorrow. The cost difference is about $60. I'm headed to Hobby Lobby and will probably pay more just out of principle. Love this place. Can usually find what I need for my crafting hobby. My only concern is that there is often a long line to check out when I am there, and they often have to bring more people to the front to help thin-out the crowd. Otherwise, this is one of my favorite places to just go and look around, and they often have great deals if you keep your eye out for coupons! read more

The customer service at this location deserves a 0. I walked into this location early in the week to exchange a planner my boyfriend had purchased for me at a different location. I asked if that was okay prior to getting the one I wanted. The cashier was AWFUL, to say the least. She looked to be bothered by me for making a purchase. It was a Monday, later in the afternoon, so I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Everyone is allowed to be off once in a while. However, I didn't get everything I needed and was going to return later during the week. She happened to be the one on the registered and once again, I got that "ugh" attitude. She even put my change on the counter rather than handing it to me. Once in my car, i honestly couldn't understand the attitude nor did I want to. I walked back inside and return my purchase. I work hard for my money and wasn't going to spend it at a location that simply did not want it. I really enjoy Michael's back to school sales and crafts for homecoming. This location will not taint my feelings towards Michael's as a brand but, I will not be going back. read more
