Our party host was Kay and he was incredibly personable with both the kids and the adults. It was an EASY 2 hours. I highly recommend this for a birthday party, team event, school party etc. 8 kids included in the price and you can add/refund kids over 12. I had an awful experience at Michael's when trying to get a simple set of balloons. The worker at the balloon station told me it would be a 30-minute wait for balloons, which I thought was odd since there were just balloons, it's not like their blowing them with their mouth themselves. So I helped myself and grabbed some pre-made balloons at checkout. I decided to just grab those instead, the workers were very unhelpful. All I wanted was a few balloons, so I picked up some non-foil ones labeled $1.99 and politely asked if they could be blown up. Despite them being simple latex balloons, I was told again--very bluntly--that it would still be a 30-minute wait. The tone and attitude were completely uncalled for. I've always had great experiences at other Michael's locations, so I was shocked by how unprofessional and rude this store's staff were. Customer service has become terrible. The staff is slow, rude and not helpful at all. The online ordering process seems straightforward until they cancel half of your items. Don't expect them to honor online pricing in store, they won't! The last few times I've been in the wait time for the one cashier has been about 10 -15 minutes for a 3 person line. This is the worst Michael's I've ever been to. The organization is absolutely horrible. The store is so messy and torn apart and you can tell how the employees don't care to fix up any of the shelves. Nearly every sale sign said 40% off price as marked but every item I picked up had no price attached. And everything is so incredibly overpriced that the 40% off is barely a good deal. Visited on Saturday, 10/16/21. This place is inside a plaza next to 99 Ranch, Ross, Target, etc. When I visited it wasn't as busy as I expected. I feel like Michaels is losing business in general nowadays; business used to be very good back in the days. I was looking for paint brushes and asked an employee for assistance. He wasn't as helpful since he stated he doesn't typically work at that location so cannot really answer my question. I feel like employees who rotate at several Michaels location should be trained more to answer simple questions and learn where things are located. They have cute stuff too. Would give this a "zero star" review, but Yelp makes me give a minimum of one star. I should have known that this was going to be a bad experience when I walked into the store and encountered "Thelma"... She was talking to employees with a dismissive tone.... I was looking for card holders and envelopes that I could insert my 5"x7" photos into and mail them as thank you cards. I had done my homework at home and saw that they were in stock at this Michael's, hence the purpose of driving to this particular store... I walked into and after Thelma finished barking at her employee and dismissively told a customer that she couldn't give her the bathroom code (Instead of immediately stating "I can't give you the code" why not say "I'll send somebody to open it for you"). She asked if she could help me... I told her what I was there for and she immediately stated, "we don't have that"... I stated yes you do and she again with a tone of superiority stated "no we don't "... I told her I just saw online that they were in stock here, she the. Demanded to see my phone, which I had in the car and then told me "If we have it it would be on aisle 53 or 54. I went and located my items and was delighted because there was a "Buy 1 get the 2nd 50% off sign" hanging RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY PRODUCT, RIGHT IN FRONT... I went to check out and the register didn't take the discount off.... I showed Thelma the sign and in the fine print showed that Recollections brand paper products were buy 1 get one 50% off... I stated that it was a Recollections paper product.... The sign didn't specifically state envelope and paper card... I told her that it was false advertising and she lectured me about their sign placement. I told her to forget it and that I was going to Yelp this incident. I shook my head and said nope, Yelp... When mentioned Yelp review for the second time she agreed to exactly what their sign read... All this for a $3.50 price adjustment.... I was ready to head over to Hobby Lobby down the street.... Save your time and stress, as long as you can endure the wait at the Hobby Lobby check out counters go straight there.... After shopping at Michael's for over 30 years, no more..... Wow! The store is amazing. However, I went in the store today and was checking out and asked the associate Cindy for help multiple times. She did not care at all. Was completely standing there on the phone. She was absolutely not doing anything or at least was pretending to do so. She seemed extremely bothered when we were checking out and needed to delete an item. There was a long line too waiting on us so we decided to leave the self checkout register like that. That's when she decided she wanted to work. Idk why people hire individuals who have a hard time working and want to just get paid to stand there like a lump on a log. This Michaels was pretty busy for a Saturday afternoon compared to the one we usually go to in La Habra. They also seemed to be more stocked with items than the La Habra one. I don't have anything to complain about with this store, other than that their Cricut iron-on vinyl section was really lacking in selection, but maybe it's because everything was 50% off. Customer service here is awful. First of all, I had been in the frame section with my boyfriend and no one was around to help. We circled the store a few times and were in the frame section for about 10 minutes and finally this lady asked if we needed help. We had already made our decision to just find another place to purchase our frames because they lacked in inventory. I had to do a return and this cashier copped an attitude with me. I simply asked WHY am I getting cash back when I paid with my card. She gave me this smartass answer. If your system is not up to date with debit/credit transactions don't get snooty with me. I have worked in customer service & idk how Michaels does not have the option for returning debit transitions BACK on to the card, its 2020, other companies have figured it out with their point of sale systems.. you should to. I walked in the frame department and Nichelle was there still busy with another customer. Finally finished and right away helped me. She so knowledgeable of the products and helped me choose the best frame for the pictures I brought. It was a little pricey and more than my piece of art but it was worth it. read more

I'm a part time crafter and this has been go to for all my crating needs. Love their apps, it tells you weekly deals and events for the week along with coupons you can use for extra savings. I usually come here because the store is easy to navigate, associates are helpful and they have great seasonal specials. I come here mainly for their crafting papers, best deal so far is $2/packages of 50 pcs. I also come for the super cute candy table decorations such as succulents, floral and geometric figures. Tips, download their apps for coupons and deals. Most coupons are for one item but you can ask your significantly other to buy the second item and use the same coupon. read more

I'm sorry, but this is the worst Michaels location I've ever been to. I've been here about 5 times and every single time the store is a big mess and the staff -except for the person working cashier- were very rude. I usually come here for paint or markers. When I pushed the button on the aisle to request for help, it took a very long time for staff to come over, and when they did come over, the staff acted like it was such an inconvenience to check if something was in stock. Aside from the disappointing service, this location really doesn't have a great selection of markers, paint, paint brushes, or sketchbooks. Yes, lots of the store brand, but not a lot of other brands. Everything seems overpriced. Kinda learned my lesson that I should always just buy art supplies online. read more

By far best framing staff ever! Ive been to several Michael's for supplies, flowers, paint, canvases and of course custom framing. This Michael's framing is by far.....the best one. The framer Thomas was absolutely outstanding! He was patient with me helping me decide boarders, colors, sizes etc. Just so professional and creative! I can't even believe they allow this woman, Millie to work in their store. She was so beyond rude....cussing and literally yelling at my daughter. Then my Daughter asked if the gift card she was using needed to be scanned instead of using the card reader that appeared to be broken. She then yelled and told my 13 year old to shut up and let her try to figure out how to take her gift card for payment. She lied and told us her name was Marie and accused my daughter of having fake gift cards??!!! She just got them for her birthday and my girl is the sweetest shyest girl in the world so she didn't even know how to respond to this woman's gross attack. The staff is rude. They cannot SAY thank you. When the customer says 'thank you' after they've paid, the cashier either says 'sure', 'of course' or 'no problem'. What happened to basic common sense courtesy and kind customer service? They need better training. I visited your store today on Grand Ave in Chino Hills. I had to return an item that stopped working. I was already having the worst day, but I approached your associate Blanca. I had a hard time finding my receipt, forgot my card, and overall was a complete mess. She handled the situation with such grace and kindness that it brought tears to my eyes. This level of customer service is so rare right now with everyone on edge due to the constant daily abuse from customers. I really liked my experience at this store. Great finds for any art and craft, for people in any age range. I went searching for a frame (they had a large selection and great deals of buy 1 get one half off). They have a whole sept for JUST framing, who were able to answer my question about the layout of the inner paper. I found a fantastic $34 frame on clearance for $8. Incredible! Then the lady at the cash register told me there were 20% off coupons online and politely waited for me to pull it up on my phone. So sweet! Sidenote: look for there's coupons before u go to the store, apparently there's great new deals every couple days; they only accept coupons with barcodes, only directly from the Michael's website. read more

I have done two curb side pick ups. Both times I was on my way in 10 minutes. I have called where it just rings and then hangs up but I just call back and Someone will answer. All these bad reviews about the pickup are rude. There are at most probably two associates in the store, heck I'm sure maybe even one. (I worked in retail and if a store is slow and needs to cut hours they will have one person alone, my retail store was double the size of micheals) Obviously you have to park and call and wait. You can't just block the road, apparently some people need to be told if you block the road yes you will get a ticket. Don't go to the door, let's be honest this isn't a grocery store you aren't going to die if you don't get your glitter right away so relax! Did some purchase here, everything went well, except for one thing. I was with my daughters and the little one had to go to the bathroom. She is small and does not know how to hold it very well at the moment but big enough not to wear a diaper. I ask an employee where is the bathroom, and trust me I always carry disinfectant to clean everything before they go and place my own toilet cover. The employee informs me that the bathroom is out of order for the public. I've gone to other places to make my purchases during this pandemic and this is the first one I hear that would close the bathroom to its customers. Very disappointed. read more

When you ask for something, employees will tell you what isle to find it but never walk you there, make recommendations, or give you any other info. Employees won't even make eye contact with you because they don't want to answer questions or help anyone. Store will always close early and they bar the doors so you can't come in even when the store is technically open. The problem with this store is the staff. read more
