My wife and I came in on Black Friday to find something really specific in the store. Unfortunately we couldn't find it for a while so we pulled someone aside for assistance. The employee was super nice and helpful and pointed us in the right direction immediately. When we arrived to the checkout area, we could hear that the employees behind the registers were super friendly despite the craziness in the store, but we opted to do the self checkout in order to save time in the line. 3.5 This is a clean and easy to navigate store. We tried out the new Joann section of the store and please get these ladies a better cutting table. That thing is so tiny that fabric spills off the sides and the lady almost cut herself with the scissors. There's a huge floral area, scrapbooking, craft supplies, yarn, art supplies, and more. If you are into crafting, be prepared to spend some time in here when you visit. Michael's has always been close by to my house so I tend to go there often to buy paints and canvases. The website has been less than reliable as far as placing an order for pick up, but sometimes I just rather go in and see what they have. Yesterday I tried to place an online order which wouldn't go through for some reason. I went to the store and picked up my items and was meant by two employees named Jade and Jan. It's very nice ladies. My problem was that with an online order and the coupon I had to the website it was 40% off if I placed it online but only for online orders, whether is pick up or delivery. Both ladies were very accommodating and helped me still manage to get my discount for my art supplies for my daughter myself. They were extremely friendly and helpful. This is a decent outlet of Michael's. Selection is great in some areas (seasonal decorations, paint-related things) and not-so-great in others (beading/beadwork). Staff was abrupt but efficient at pointing me to where I could find things. As usual, the toughest part of a Michael's is the checkout line. However I have to give kudos to the store manager who tossed on another person at the register when she saw the snake queue wind beyond where it should have. Worth a visit if you're a regular at Michael's. Otherwise, do your internet research if you're shopping for a specific item here. Prices may say 40% off, but the item in question usually has its original price boosted to give you the appearance of a bargain. read more

They are always nice here. Love coming here to browse and get crafting ideas. Prices are reasonable and I love getting home decor here too. My kid loves the crafting classes here, and I have enjoyed them here from time to time. This place always has really nice people here who are great with kids, unlike another crafting store here in town that have a few unpleasant people working there. I coupons from here also help, and if your a teacher they have a discount for you too. Love this place. read more

Well, I really love Michaels, and when it comes to going there in person, I usually don't have any issues. Typically I find what I need myself and then I'm good to go, but lately with everything being closed due to the Coronavirus, they've closed their doors and have offered curbside pickup. I placed my order around 4:30 yesterday for two little sticker books for my planner. On their website, they were advertised to be open until 7, so off he went only to call and say that there was a sign written in an easel inside the store saying they closed at 6. Okay, cool. Since my husband was going to be in the area the next day, I figured I would send him over there to get them. He was greeted by someone who took his order number, checked our status and said that it wasn't ready. This was probably around noon the next day. He asked if there was any way he could just pick up the two sticker books since he was already there and was told he would have to come back when we receive an email saying my order for my two sticker books is ready. 5 o'clock rolls around the next day, and I call the store and ask what the status of my order is because I haven't heard anything. In the middle of me explaining what I'm calling for, she cuts me off to answer someone else in the store and then says, "I'm sorry, what did you say?" I repeat what I'm looking for again. The lady offers to place me on hold to check on the status. 10 minutes roll by and the phone rings again. The same lady answers the phone and I say, "Uh. It's still me. Calling to check on the status of my order." Her reply is, "Oh, sorry. It's really busy. I'll get someone else to help you." I know things are kind of crazy around here, and with the quarantine and stay at home stuff, I'm sure there's a lot of people wanting to pass the time with DIY projects and fun little activities. I get that. I know stores are busy, but I also know that looking up an order in the system and being a little more courteous to customers doesn't really require all that much time or effort. In short, I'm leaving two stars because I do love the store, but the customer service is really struggling to handle the pressures of a busier than normal business. read more

I pretty much go to Michaels once to twice a week. I love this store! This is one of the further locations from my house or work, but I was in the area and decided to pop in for the first time. Makes me wish I lived closer to this area, there was a great selection of items, the store was updated and fresh. If they're going to make all of their checkouts self check-outs except for one register, they should at least make sure they're working. Every time i come to this store there's issues checking out. My rewards account not being accepted, receipts not printing and today my boyfriend got double charged checking out. Staff was unhelpful in resolving the issue, not understanding what was going on and telling us to go online to resolve (which is just as hard as getting help in the store). I received horrible customer service tonight. I was walking around the store and there was a woman that was cleaning up because they were closing at 10, I got there at 9 PM mind you. She followed me around the store with a dirty mop and a bunch of dirt in front of it. She never said excuse me once when she plowed right through me with her dirt. She followed me all the way to the cash register with her mom and then I actually said some thing because I did not want to get dirty since I had to showered and about to go to bed. When I mentioned it to the associate I was checking me out she said and I quote "she's just doing her job ma'am." Is doing your job attacking customers with a dirty mop? Is doing your job following them around until they become annoyed with you and complain? I work too hard to deal with this type of shitty customer service. I will never return to this store ever again. read more

FYI- This store location is NOT pet friendly. Went into pick up a $150 custom frame order and saw a cute dog with another shopper. As a dog owner myself, saw the cute door and asked if I could pet the dog. The dog got excited and made a sound. Then 3 Michaels employees rushed over and threaten to kick us both out. read more

I was in there tonight buying a few supplies for community first village and I was exhausted and pretty cranky. It was a young girl working at the front and the lady in the back who filled my online order. They were both more kind than I could've hoped for. I absolutely love this Michael's. The manager Shannon goes out of her way to help people with their projects. And her enthusiasm and helpfulness trickles down to every single staff person. For example: this BUSY manager helped me get all my purchases to the car and even figured out how to load them when my car was completely stuffed! Now that is an amazing manager! ........ As background, I am a professional commercial artist and buy a lot of things every time I enter a Michael's. While the clerks at most of the other Michael's seem rather apathetic, this team greets everyone with warmth and enthusiasm. And it's genuine interest! So me and my daughter walked in and we noticed this coworker who was obviously injured I am calling the manager. the manager told me that she had a disability, so I went back she did not have a disability she sprained her ankle the day before. I called her manager again and her manager told me that it's not really complaining and that he can't really do anything while there was one person who was at the counter doing check out yet the woman Sprained ankle had to sort stuff out In the aisle and Manager was really giving me a bad attitude and I didn't really appreciate it. read more

I am in awe that one manager , a really nice female, helped me one evening and after knowing I was disabled she offered to let me buy an assembled little craft cart, without any fees a I would not be able to assemble at home with ease. The next evening I returned as stated to purchase and she was not there and after commenting on the situation the employee had to get approval own the head Manager? Walter I believe who didn't really Care and denied this request even after explaining Nd having two other employees witness the prior nights conversation , He still could care less and was actually very inconsiderate and prude . Dropped 2 fabric tapestries off to be framed on July 3rd. Paid for them at drop off. They gave me a pickup date of July 17th. Come July 17th, and I've heard nothing so I call. Good thing I did. I was informed that 1 of the tapestries order had been cancelled. Errr...we had already paid for it. Went in and was informed that the matting that had been picked out was no longer available. Ok...I understand that, however, instead of cancelling it, it should have been a simple -"come pick out a different mat." Spent a very long time in the store trying to pick out a different one - many didn't come in the right size or were no longer made. Finally picked one that was the right size and in stock. Many issues with the staff trying to figure out how to fix the issue, restart that order, and ensure I wasn't charged twice. I was then told they wouldn't have it ready until August 29th. The only reason they got 2 stars was because the staff that I dealt with was very nice. I have other things I wanted framed. Based on this experience, I will go elsewhere. read more

Horrible customer service. Went to purchase a slime kit which was advertised as $18 on an end cap and when it was rung up at the register it was the wrong price. When I questioned it and they did a price check I was told it was an old sign and they wouldn't honor that price. Walked out without it. Stopped by to look for a large star stencil. Couldn't find one, so searched up and down the aisles (most twice) to find a worker for assistance. Finally found one straightening frames on a shelf who told me to go wait by the stencils and she will be over in a bit when after she was finished.
