Brownie dessert

DESSERT DESSERT DESSERT!!! Great dessert menu. This is a new go to stop after dinner for dessert. They also have rotating specials. On my last visit they had a snickerdoodle tres leche cake that was soooo good! I would only say that the cake slicing is not so equitable, as two slices of the same cake were vastly different in size---- make them both giant! Especially for the pricing. Service was great, and the restaurant has a very nice ambiance.

I ordered French toast to-go, which came with a meat side so I went with the turkey sausage. The French toast was pretty good. It was crispy and sweet, but not overly so. The turkey sausage seemed burnt ,so I didn't end up finishing that. My order was ready when I arrived, and i was promptly greeted and helped when I arrived.

Michael's is one of my favorite local spots! Service is always wonderful, drinks are well balanced, atmosphere is casual yet elegant a perfect family vibe. They offer brunch, lunch, dinner and an event room for bigger parties. My favorites on the menu are the oysters (so fresh), the half and half crab soup, truffle Mac and cheese and the seafood club sandwich. Sam is also our favorite server

Y'all know, I love this place! I decided to take myself on a solo lunch date... I haven't done that at Michael's in a while and it was the perfect day to do it. I was able to walk right in and grab a seat at the bar, which is what I wanted. I like my regular meals, my waiter mentioned this grilled cheese sandwich and I couldn't resist. I also had the crab deviled eggs, but I ate them so fast and forgot to take a picture sorry lol the sandwich was a lot heavier than I thought. So I wrapped most of it up to go and look forward to eating it later! Glass of wine to top it off and I'm good to go!

We celebrated my daughter's birthday tonight and Michael's is her favorite local restaurant. The restaurant is clean and spacious and a good spot for a cocktail or pint. Their bar is classy and central in the restaurant. Our service tonight was good but sporadic resulting in a 2hr dining. Not horrible and our drinks were always filled. Our meals consisted of the following: I ordered the Rockfish Nicholas which was a 7/10. Had the dish had more of of the lemon sauce it would have been a solid 9. That sauce was great but I think the Jasmine rice absorbed what little provided. Ribs were a little overcooked but had good flavor, 7/10. Tasty. Cream of Crab wasn't bad and had a good amount of crab, 7/10. Tuna bowl was flavorful and my daughter selected to scratch the avocado, 8/10. This is her go to dish. Clams Casino small and you get 5 on a plate of rock salt. They were very spicy and just average, 6/10. Calamari was terrific. The platter was small but delicious accompanied by banana peppers and jalapeños. 9/10. Drinks were on point and OBTW, we sat next to their giant bar. 10/10. All in all a nice night but I feel the menu pricing is inflated. I don't have to go back for dinner but certainly will for some drinks and an app @ the bar.

We decided to have Brunch at Michael's today. Brunch stops on Saturday at 3pm. Entering we are always greeted. There were available seats almost anywhere but our choice was bar seating. The restaurant was settled and quiet like I like it. Having a conversation at the bar was not challenging at the bar. The bartender was attentive and easy going. We ordered the Chicken and Waffles w/NITRO COLD BREW ESPRESSOTINI and Get him to the Greek omelette with POME PALMOA. The food seemed to take a little time to get to us. Everything was good including the drinks. We also had a coupon for 2 free cocktails. So this was a win in our book.

It's a very good spot for impromptu dinner and lunch . Great ambiance , staff , food and beautiful bar seating . Their valentine dinner last night was great for last min plans. I ordered the roasted lamb with asparagus and potatoes . 2 glasses of little sheep white wine , and strawberry shortcake with honey graham ice . Everything was delicious. So good . I want to try their brunch menu on the weekend.

Lots of parking and easy location. Beautifully decorated. Has indoor and outdoor seating that is screened in (no bugs). Nice bar area with lots of TVs. Service was good. Attentive and accommodating. Got a Sidecar (served on ice - not typical) and a filthy martini that was on menu. Both okay. Sidecar was tasty, but ice melted and watered it down too much. Got wings that were great! Also ordered a brisket sandwich with truffle fries (extra $5). Fries were awesome. Sandwich came with fried onion, BBQ sauce, and pickles. Roll was fresh. Brisket very dry. Wouldn't recommend. Overall, nice place. Easy to get a table or sets at the bar since kinda away from all the hustle and bustle.

My friends and I had an awesome dinner at Michael's. This is a new building and the interior is stunningly decorated. We also loved our server. Overall, I would highly recommend this place! I love a restaurant that has mocktails that are actually delicious, so the earned some points right off the bat. Service was a little slow from the kitchen, but it was a Friday night at prime time. All 7 of us enjoyed our meals, which is commendable. I got their ahi tuna wrap and it was super flavorful and fresh. Their main entrees are a bit pricey, but the value seems fair, so know that going in. Definitely consider this place for your next date night or family occasion!

I visited this location of Michael's for the first time and was impressed by the beautiful decor, friendly staff, and incredible aromas--I could smell the truffle as soon as I walked in. The crab dip was absolutely delicious from beginning to end, and the crostini it came with was one of the best I've ever had--I even ordered more just because it was that good. The eggs with my brisket would've been better with less BBQ sauce. It was a bit unusual, but I gave it a shot. My husband had the chorizo and corned beef hash with sunny side up eggs and said it was really good. My Appletini wasn't great, especially at $15, but now I know for next time. Our server--whose name I unfortunately don't remember--was very attentive and transparent. She let us know that the tip was already included because it was brunch, but I still left her a little extra because she was excellent. Overall, I don't have any complaints. I'd definitely come back and just try something a little less adventurous next time.

- Food: The food was mainly good. The tuna bowl was very filling, flavorful, and well presented. However, we found the rice in both dishes to be mushy and tasted spoiled. The rice had a weird after taste. - Service: not bad, not great. our server clearly had a long day! the place was pretty crowded for a sunday night. we waited a bit for but nothing crazy. - atmosphere: michael's cafe had a very modern and clean look to it. we really appreciated the decorations and lighting scene that was on going. - parking: the lot was plenty big. parking was easy and stress free. Overall; we would come back Michael's!

Made my reservation for party of one at By the Docks When I arrived. I was greeted quickly (bless her) and explained I was a little late. While I was waiting for her to see me she received a call and made a comment about "who books a reservation 15 minutes ahead of time". (Well that's actually what I did.) and when I said that's actually what I did. The hostess looked at me and said "well you don't count" smiled and then she then sat me. My server, Leslie greeted me. I ordered my food (crab and lobster egg rolls), and a glass of the house white wine (a yummy Pinot Grigio) to pair perfectly with my seafood egg rolls. The interior was bright and open with bronze and wood accents The wine came out about five minutes later and then I proceeded to wait for roughly 30 minutes for the appetizer that was meant to be my entrée to come out. the appetizer came out hot and fresh, chock full of lump crab and lobster laying on a bed of the Asian slaw.. shoo mercy, everything tasted great, but by then my wine was empty. Parched lil bit. I opted for the strawberry cheesecake. (Shout out to Yia Yia's bakery, y'all know your desserts!) People, It was the size of my head and creamy and light and the tartness of the strawberries was on point. I mean it was so good, it'd make ya push your granny in the creek, good! When Leslie brought out my check she let me know they comped the wine for the delay on the egg rolls.. Well shucks... that, y'all, was great service recovery. Turned my first experience here from meh to well, bless em... Hot tasty food, (even a delay can happen on the best of nights), and a yummy dessert.. By the Docks.... We will be back!

She wanted Italian, but her fav place in the Carroll Island shopping center was closed for vacation, so we went next door to get Mexican. Shhh... don't tell her but I wanted to go here all along, but I know that her only experience with "Mexican" food is Taco Bell and how she thought (yes, in the past tense) that she didn't like Mexican food. Yay for changing minds!! As we sat in the restaurant, many people came in claiming that they had come to the shopping center to get Italian, but had ended up at El Piquin and I celebrate this. I hope this place wins over tons of customers and sticks around for a while because THE FOOD IS AMAZING!!!! You should also probably know they have an alcohol permit and have beer and margaritas. We didn't order any because we didn't want to make my mom uncomfortable, considering the boyfriend was driving and we had gotten a flat tire the day before so we were driving around on a donut and she was already kinda nervous about that... but the music is bumping, the food is perfect and I bet a margarita or two after the sun goes down would be just the thing... hashtag futuregoals... Anyway... Chips and salsa come to your table gratis. Delicious. Everything you want. My mom and I both got carnitas street tacos and WOWZERS. The meat is perfectly seasoned and diced. The tacos come with a half grilled jalapeno (I took my mom's cuz they were spicy and I think she would have never recovered - hee), a grilled spring onion, limes, raw radish and cucumber - your choice of flour or corn tortillas. If you need cheese, sour cream and pico de gallo, it's gonna cost you extra - but you've been trained that sour cream costs more. The boyfriend had Bistec Encebollado ($15.50) - Steak & sauteed onions, served with rice, re-fried black beans, cheese & 2 fried eggs. Served with our house salad & 4 corn tortillas. He was pretty thrilled with it, but the chicken wings (appetizer) didn't hit quite right. He doesn't know why. He said it wasn't the sauce. The Boyfriend and I will definitely be ordering from here again. But I think the real victory was that my 70-year-old mother ate just as much of her meal as I did. SHE TOTALLY LOVED IT!!! I count that as a win.

Remember when there was a Safeway and a Rite Aid and a craft store in that shopping center? Yeah, I'm from the neighborhood, from the way back, before Walmart even! If the fact that I have been eating at Pasta Blitz for this long isn't enough of a recommendation for you - BEHOLD! Here is a proper review. This past week I required eggplant. I feel like you can't go wrong with the EGGPLANT PARMIGIANA - thin slices of breaded eggplant, stacked with cheese, covered with sauce and then more cheese. It comes with spaghetti, but you can request other noodles instead. Personally, I'm a big fan of angelhair, but do you. The EGGPLANT PARM SUB is also quality. The boyfriend started off with MOZZARELLA CAPRESE (fresh Mozzarella cheese, fresh plum tomatoes, garlic, olive oil + fine herb). He always gets this. I don't know why. He never finishes it, and I don't feel like it's worth the price. He also had a MEATBALLS PARMIGIANA SUB and a CHEESESTEAK (extra cheese and onions). I LOVED the meatballs. But once he bit into the cheesesteak, there was no turning back for him. The man simply adores a cheesesteak sub. My mom got the SHRIMP PARMIGIANA (the Friday special) and was over the moon about how tender the breaded shrimp were and lamented that there were only three. She had penne as her pasta. While we didn't order these items this time around, I also recommend: - SPAGHETTI CARBONARA (bacon and finely chopped onions in a rosé creamy egg sauce topped with Parmesan cheese) - SAUSAGE, ONIONS & PEPPERS (green peppers, onions, Italian sausage and homemade marinara sauce) - PENNE ALLA ARRABBIATA (spicy marinara sauce and the finest imported grated Parmesan cheese) Just say "no" to the spaghetti pizza unless you want a laugh, or if it's on your bucketlist to try. I don't know why anyone thinks that's a good idea. This is the kind of establishment where you order and pay at the counter and they bring your food to the table. Prompt and pleasant service. Carryout is a big thing here.
