Got an Italion Sub there a week ago. The mayo had to have been sitting out all day with the kitchen above 100 degrees. I was sick for 3 days. When I went back in there a few days later and told the waitress about it the manager (Stacy) came over to me and falsely accused me of taking photos of one of the bar tenders without permission. Truly a lie. When I tried to correct her, she cut me off and made more false accusations and barred me. The most disrespectful management approach I have ever experienced in my life. She should definitely call in sick when the full moon approaches. My rating is -20. Do yourself a favor and go else where. It's the worst of the worst. read more

Local bar and Grill. Once you understand that you appreciate how good this place is. Friendly staff decent prices and a great selection on their menu. They have one of the best crab dips I've ever had. Each night they offer a daily specials Sunday night being the shrimp basket, Thursdays are tacos, but every day has its own special. Bartender was very friendly. There were at least 10 patrons already in the establishment. Floors and tables were clean. I had the crab hybrid and the meatball appetizer. The soup was good but the meatballs were a little dry. I also had a rum and coke as well. read more

We stopped for lunch on a Thursday afternoon, it was not far from our house and had passed by many times. This had the feel of a local bar and grill frequented by locals, the atmosphere was welcoming as well as the immediate friendly approach by the lady serving everyone and doing it efficiently, Cyndi is a good person for this job. Now to the food, Thursdays are consistently Tacos with a slight variance in price, soft shell vs hard shell, toppings are extra. We chose to order off the menu. My husband ordered the Italian cold-cut sub, no hots, it was fresh and a generous amount of meats.I ordered the Clam Strips and Fresh Cut French Fries. The clam strips came out first and were hot and tender, the next wave of food was the rest of the order. The french cut fries were perfect and lots of them, added malt vinegar and yum. Oh so good. Serving portions were generous and had to take home the remainder of my order. A good location, easy to find and plenty of free parking. Reasonable prices. read more

Had being going to Captains for years and enjoy the staff and the locals. Stopped in yesterday for wings, quesadillas and shrimp and the food was bland and tasteless like I have never experienced before in all of my four years frequenting . The drinks are weaker, but the prices haven't changed and the new management clearly has all bottles monitored with a contraption as not to make them as good as they used to be. The quality of the food and the drinks is a clear indication why on a Friday evening the place is sparse other than the regulars who come in for beers and lotto. The new management has driven this place to ruins and I know my family and I won't be back ever. The only good thing they have going for them is that the liquor store is open on Sundays. Time to start visiting Carson's again. Sad to see a place that used to be buzzing and hard to find a seat in fall below subpar. read more

While in the area and in a last minute decision, went in for a quick burger and beverage. Just my luck, it was $5 burger night (a Saturday special). Combination dining room and bar - establishment seemed to draw a middle-aged bar crowd with an almost-full seated bar. Nonetheless, I was able to snag a single bar seat. Worth noting at the time of my visit, there was a handful of seated dining room patrons (adjacent to the bar). Two jovial bar patrons (the self-appointed welcoming committee and "mayor") kindly introduced me to several regulars. This single handedly enhanced my welcomed feeling. Plenty of TVs to view. Bartenders were busy, gracious, and attentive. Cheeseburger $5.50 (w/fried onions, add $0.50) (w/fries, add $2) was cooked to order. (Not crazy about the fried onions on my burger; Had to keep pulling them out of my mouth; Seemed like the outer skin of the onion making them difficult to bite and chew.) On the other hand, domestic beverages were cold and quickly served. Karaoke DJ was setting up. Luckily, no one requested to sing. As for my music taste, the DJ was on point kicking out some old school favorite classic rock tunes so karaoke singers would've ruined my experience. A nice, happy regular crowd. Ok my daughter tty e and I got the burgers and I have to say that they were made with fresh ground beef BUT the problem with them was that they had no flavor at all. Meat was very good no fat at all but the cook really needs to season the beef there were very bland and tasteless, but cooked well and real hamburger. My wife got the nachos and that shit was big enough to feed 10 people, very good and tasty made with the same fresh ground beef. Service was good as we were the only people there at the time. Bar maid was friendly and polite. Please if someone who either owns this place or works there reads this START SEASONING THE BURGERS THEY ARE TO GOOD TO BE TASTELESS AND BLAND. We had never been here before & we will never go again. We went on recommendation of a customer of mine who mentioned it was $1 tacos and 2 for 1 beers. The place is a decent small size, you seat yourself but no sign to tell you that. After sitting for 10-15 minutes someone came to get our drink order. Waitress appeared hurried & slightly irritated that I didn't know what beers they had, & they have no list of drinks (even sodas) or costs. Their tap was broken so it was bottles/cans only. I asked if they could do a Shirley Temple for my girls, they have no cherries & used just enough grenadine to make it a sickly pink color. What kind of bar has no cherry garnishes? (my hubby & I went to bartending school & even dive bars have that) We waited another 15 minutes or so for someone to take our food order. It seems the $1 tacos are only crunchy, soft tacos are $1.50 (weird). We placed an order for 8 tacos and 1 beefy mac for my daughter. My husband was meeting us and hadn't arrived yet. We were too cold where we were sitting & my daughter's friend kept getting dripped on by water from the ceiling, so we moved to a different table. (I saw water dripping in many places from the ceiling.) My husband got there and sat, and about 15 minutes later our food came out: the tacos were on paper plates and only 2 to a plate, so it got crowded on the small table fast. (The table was very rickety & had coasters under it.) My daughter began eating the beefy mac and didn't like it, so she ate a taco. I & my husband tasted the mac--it was flavorless & noodles were very soggy & overcooked. In the meantime my hubby had already ordered 6 more tacos (before my daughter had said anything about the beefy mac). The tacos were ok, but Taco Bell is even better, which says something because we don't eat there. You get what they give you which was simply beef with a tiny bit of lettuce & tomato, and cheese. We weren't given any other choices, and no sour cream or salsa which we saw on other people's plates. But my poor hubby was hungry, so we ate. It seriously took another 20-25 minutes to get 6 tacos. The waitress apologized saying they had a huge food order (from where or who Idk because it wasn't very busy in there). I mentioned my daughter wasn't going to eat the beefy mac because it was soggy & she didn't like it. Her response was "I don't know what to say. None of the rest of you want it?" When we said no, she said she would throw it away. My daughter & her friend begged us to cancel the 6 taco order so we could leave. My daughter went to the bathroom & came back with a horrid look. She said there were women in there talking about how you can't flush both toilets at the same time or they won't fill properly and will overflow the bathroom. The toilet was also cracked. She was actually scared to use it. We decided it was time to go but it took almost 20 minutes to flag someone to get our bill. The waitress passed our table at least 6 times, looking directly at us with finished paper plates & beers, but went to the other larger tables instead to check on them. We never were checked on. When we got our bill, it was evident these people don't give a F*** because they didn't take off the beefy mac dish my daughter wouldn't eat. We were so disgusted we didn't even want to argue, we just wanted to get out of there. Both my daughter & her friend felt sick after eating there. I think we would've had a better meal at Taco Bell & had beers at home. I've never experienced such a lack of caring at a place, from the restroom to the drippy ceiling, to the tasteless food, and waitstaff not being attentive. My husband and I are believers in tipping 20%, more if warranted, being that he has worked in restaurants & bars before and our elder daughter works at a restaurant. These people were lucky they got 10% from me. Let me be clear: I told them it was our first visit several times. You would think they'd want to get a new customer and make the experience pleasant. read more

This is my go to place anytime I am in town. The place has it all good and cheap food, awesome drink prices and amazing people.

You can actually have a decent dining experience here. There is a private, quiet, candle lit, white tablecloth clad dining area at the rear of the bar area. The food was decent although slow in coming out of the kitchen. The menu seemed a bit lacking but most of the standard fare is present with an emphasis on seafood. I would go back again, as my last visit wasn't really planned, we just refused to wait for a table at By the Docks and decided to give this place a go. read more

We tried this place based on a restaurant.com coupon. We tried to order the salmon, and after 1/2 hour were advised they had none. Then ordered a chichen dish and after a few minutes were told thet were out of chicken as well. Desperately hungry I ordered a burger. It was tolerable, at best but it filled my tummy. Whebn I asked for the check I was told that I did not qualify because we did not order enough. My protest that "we tried, but they were out of what we wanted" was ignored. What a scam. Bad Bad, Bad.
