Overall I find Hobby Lobby a bit more expensive and some of their merchandise is more cheaply made than the other similar craft stores in the area. They used to have coupons which help offset the pricing but they no longer offer them. But it never hurts to check out their sale ad to see if what you want is in there. I have had luck finding kids birthday gifts here. Sometimes they have kits and crafts that are different from their competitors. Home decor is also laid out by theme so it's great to come for inspiration or to finish decorating a space.

They carry a massive stock of MTG and Heroclix. This is a regular spot for MTG tournaments, adventure league, and a slew of other games I dont know anything about. Very friendly vibe; Jimmy runs the shop and he is great with customers of any age or demographic. The shop is very clean. There is a back room with some space to play tabletop and video games. When new boardgames are released, it's not uncommon to catch them test playing in the front of the shop.

The staff sprayed down the brick bins the kids played with, had hand sanitizer available throughout the store, and the bathroom was pristine. It even had a low sink and paper towels, making it easy for kids to use independently. The family brought in food from Domino's next door, which was super convenient and a hit with both kids and adults. I also love the idea of the LEGO trading program. My kids have plenty of sets at home, and I'm eagerly looking forward to clearing some out to make more space in their rooms!
