I came in with a more challenging pattern than I've ever done and no idea where to start. Ben was super friendly and helpful. He looked over the pattern and helped me get everything I needed in terms of yarn and needles since none of the needles I have would work for this project. I really appreciated that he checked if I knew how to wind the yarn I bought (spoiler alert, no) so he explained how I could do it at home and then wound it for me in the store. I'm really excited for this project - and also the next one, which I found by chance in the store and he printed a copy for me. Overall, this shop came highly recommended to me by a serious knitting friend and I would absolutely make this a go-to for my future yarn needs.

Ben, the owner, patiently helping some knitters.

Absolutely lovely store. Very cozy. Customers are encouraged to sit, knit and visit. The merchandise is great! Lots of selections. I was impressed with Ben's, the owner, patience as he helped a nice lady learning a new anf difficult stitch. He is very knowledgeable about his stock and knitting.

Visited today coming in from out of town for a conference. Ben was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and extremely helpful (and completely charming) !!! Lots of customers asking questions and he never got frazzled. Highly recommend this shop both for new and experienced knitters.

I love to shop local, where you can actually feel the yarns, especially in such a lovely shop with such a friendly, informative owner.

My mom seems to shop here somewhat often but now that I know, I'll be honest: I don't love the overt Christian branding and that alone will never make this store my first choice. That said, I can't deny the variety they offer. No matter what craft you're into whether it be sewing, quilting, painting, home decor, seasonal projects, etc. Hobby Lobby seems to have just about everything imaginable under one roof even if it may be extremely challenging to find/the layout of the store wasn't great... While I'd prefer to shop elsewhere when possible, I can see myself returning if I'm in a pinch or need something specific. I can admit it's a convenient option. Three stars for selection and convenience with some hesitation on the overall vibes and prices.

Hobby Lobby: Come for one frame, leave with fall exploding in your trunk. THAT should be their…read moredadgum slogan! Let me be clear: I'm not what you'd call a crafter. In my head, sure--I'm out here crocheting whimsical potholders and making my own scented candles like some kind of Pinterest sorceress. In reality? I want to wake up with the skillset of a seasoned maker without ever enduring the YouTube tutorial struggle. I don't want to learn to crochet--I just want to already know, you feel me? But none of that stops me from wandering the aisles of Hobby Lobby like I belong there. Because baby, I do. I may not be gluing rhinestones to wreaths, but when it comes to home decor? This is my Super Bowl. No matter the style, no matter the season--modern farmhouse, vintage cottagecore, "my house looks like an antique shop and I love it" chic--Hobby Lobby always delivers. Fall? They've got pumpkins in every size and personality. Christmas? Don't even get me started unless you want to hear me wax poetic about artificial garland and buffalo plaid. Need a random decorative sign that says "Gather" in cursive? Oh honey, they have seven. And I will consider them all. (Who am I kidding: I already own all seven!) Walking into Hobby Lobby is like entering a magical vortex where time doesn't exist and your cart fills itself. I always leave with twice as many items and zero regrets. And while I may not craft, I absolutely curate vibes--and Hobby Lobby is my go-to for all things "seasonal personality disorder but make it stylish." Five stars. Ten stars. A whole galaxy of stars. And a cart full of throw pillows.

It feels very old fashioned in esthetic is the best way to put it. Even more so, they offer a section for bday parties, which I think is nice for crafters, but it really lacked the luster I would want if I was hosting a bday here, adult or especially child. I did like the selection of Halloween stuff. There's traditional black and orange, there's more girly and modern stuff, and there was a section for black and deep purples they were starting to put up. Another nice thing is they had plenty of registers, including self-checkout AND people working their own registers.

Sooo, I turned to "Siri" and asked where Michael's was & it was down,a little over a mile further . It was right past the Amherst Buffet parking lot (yes, that's what I refer to it as,lol), and in the plaza where Trader Joe's is. It's way in the back of Trader Joe's lot. Easy enough to see when you're driving down Niagara Falls Boulevard. The new location is more spacious, cleaner & it seemed like it had more products. I , of course wanted to but everything I saw, but we went there for 1 thing, which they didn't end up having. I ended up getting something anyways (hehehehe), & they were cheap, which is why Jim bought them for me. =D. (I always make him spend too much $$) So, it's a very nice store, large selection, neat & clean, Nice employees, but of course, crazy expensive! I do mean crazy EXPENSIVE for most things. Otherwise, if you need stuff for almost any kind of "crafty" project, they probably have it.
