Items for sale were all reasonably priced and there were around 160 vendors. It took awhile to decide what I wanted/needed to buy. Finally bought 3 stained glass flowers ($5 ea) to put in my planters and a pretty necklace ($18). I wanted another necklace but it had no price and there was no answer from the artist after the cashier tried to get a hold of them which is a shame because they lost a sale). I was visiting from another state but I hope I get another chance to go back.

But you'll find a bit of everything else, including ... ** Lots of fabrics, notions, and sewing supplies; bolts of fabric are cut-to-size for whatever length you need ** Cards, stationary, and a small assortment of books (mostly religious) ** Decorative glassware and knick-knacks ** General kitchen items (cookware, utensils, canning supplies) ** Grill and picnic supplies ** A few small electrics, like fans and light strings ** Small clothing section with mostly knits, sweats, and Amish hats ** Candles and candle holders ** Many natural soaps, lotions, and supplements ** Cleaning supplies and household paper products ** Garden and outdoor supplies, and some tools ** Toys and games ** Office supplies ... but definitely not limited to just that, you'll surely find more. Prices are very fair. I needed a couple basic plastic mixing bowls, and grabbed them here for $1.10 a piece. I also got some fly catcher strips for 5/$1, and a fork/whisk hybrid called a Fiskie for about three bucks. I'm eyeing a nice Chinese Checkers metal tin set, that was about $11. Next time, it will be mine! Attached to this same building is Lake Breeze Bicycle, a small bicycle shop in the basement of the general store, with its own separate entrance out back. I'll write a review for that portion of the business separately, but as a sneak-peek, it's a handy, well-priced store too. During COVID times, all other customers were masked and doing our best to stay distanced in the small store. The Amish women I've seen working at the register and fabric cutting area have been masked, too. It appreciate, even way out here in the sticks, folks still doing their part to help end this pandemic. If you find yourself in this part of Orleans county, and either want to browse for nothing in particular, or look for something in particular, chances are you may find it here at J C Miller General Store. And it will likely be a good deal!

Hobby lobby is a love hate relationship for me. I bought slime and wanted to return it. It was two…read moredays since I had gotten it. I went into the store w the receipt and slime and they said they couldn't find it in their system on their iPad. A manager-looking woman came over and said she would go back to the aisle and look. When she came back she said I couldn't return it because it wasn't a product in the store. At this point my blood was a simmer. I say "here's the receipt, here's the slime. It clearly looks like your product. Whether or not you have it come up isn't my problem" The manager looking lady doesn't care and reiterates that if they can't find it, I cannot return it. I decide to go back myself. Imagine the surprise when I go back and find it! This wasn't the first time I had a hassle w returns. They have an old system and they don't take electronic payments. it's just kind of wonky how they do everything at that store. Hence the love-hate relationship! I go shopping at the store sporadically, only because they do have nice things.

I ended up spending about 10 minutes browsing the amazing crafts, gifts, artwork, and more in this lovely establishment. The owner was even making some kind of commissioned piece at the counter when I went to pay which I thought was neat. For a gift shop on main street of EA, I expected the prices to be MUCH higher and was plesantly surprised by how reasonable they were. I ended up buying some homemade bath bombs for myself but plan to return soon to get some gifts for the holidays. This is the perfect place to stop to get gifts for everyone in your life! My friend and I booked through an Instagram direct message and went during their "buy one, get one free" promotion for the fluid bear. The bears come in many sizes, and prices increase accordingly (keychain $22, 7" $58, 9" $68, 13" $108, 21" $168, 1 mini bear and canvas $38, and 2 mini bears and canvas $48). On the website, it also lists how long each project is expected to take. They also have pom-pom canvases and bags. The pom-pom canvases are: 8 x 8" $58, 12 x 12" $68, 18" x 18" $88, 18" x 23" $108, 23" x 23" $168, and 40" x 40" $328. The pom-pom bags are: A4 $88, A3 $108, and B5 $68. When we arrived and checked in for our reservation, an employee showed us the different-sized bears, and there were even some that were sitting or leaning back in addition to the standing ones. He gave us some time to decide, and then we also chose paint colours. We weren't sure what colours we wanted, so he showed us photos of previous customers' projects. We were set up at a table with aprons, our chosen paint colours, our bear on a tray, and even given a hair tie if we didn't have one with us to keep our hair out of the way. The employee showed us how to pour and mix our different paint colours and then pour them on our bears. The first pour was definitely the best one for me. The colours and patterns were astounding. Sometimes the paint doesn't completely cover the bear as it drips down, so they provide a plastic spoon to fill in those spots. The last thing before paying was deciding whether or not we wanted the bears to have a matte or gloss finish. Also, there's no tax if you pay in cash. We were informed that our bears would be ready for pickup in two to three days, and I did get a text informing me that our bears were ready within two days. I wasn't sure how to transport my finished bear home. The primary reason why anyone would visit, I'd think, is to check out the cork flooring. That's why I was there! Salesman was very friendly and informative about his product. He even let me sign out a sample piece of 1' X 3' slate of flooring. I haven't priced out their competition, re: hardwood or even laminate, but the piece I got was $5.15sq'. I'm undecided, but I'd highly recommend checking this place out if you're even thinking about installing cork flooring! You'll be surprised by the results which are actually installed all around the house itself.
