They have young people working there but are knowledgeable about what and where things are i liked that. This store is dangerous. It's not uncommon for me to spend a $100 while exploring the HUGE selection. All my coin collecting needs in one stop. Everything from cotton gloves to holders and even the Bible of collecting The RedBook and Bluebook. They offer all types of DIY crafts along with collecting supplies of all types. Clean store and friendly helpful staff. The store has reasonable prices and always have stocked shelves. Keeps me going back for more. Always leave stocked and happy. read more

Craft store with everything under the sun and lots of themed home decor. Great for diy'ers, crafters or those who need some decorations. Overall I find Hobby Lobby a bit more expensive and some of their merchandise is more cheaply made than the other similar craft stores in the area. They used to have coupons which help offset the pricing but they no longer offer them. But it never hurts to check out their sale ad to see if what you want is in there. I have had luck finding kids birthday gifts here. Sometimes they have kits and crafts that are different from their competitors. Home decor is also laid out by theme so it's great to come for inspiration or to finish decorating a space. read more

I've never entered with enough time or money to work ALL of the aisles! I love their craft supplies, especially for jewelry making! Recently I've decided to start drawing again and I'm searching for oil pastels and charcoals. Great prices and wonderful choices! This store is very handicap accessible, my wheelchair and my service can make it up and down all the isles without an issue and we have enough room to turn around. They have a wide selection of anything you could be looking for ranging from crafts to decor and all well priced. read more

We needed to find a large, poster-size picture frame for a recent project we had finished. Our search took us to a few other stores first, but we didn't have any luck finding the right size. This led us to wander into the massive craft and hobby store that is Hobby Lobby, where we at first meandered aimlessly, having no idea where to look. Eventually though, we found the framing area with the frame we needed on the furthest corner... and it was 50% off! So we bought two, the second for when we finish the next project. Hobby Lobby was much better stocked than the other stores, and the sale was a nice surprise. It certainly might be worth taking a peek if you're running desperate for craft and hobby materials for your own projects! read more

There's nothing wrong with this store specifically - except that the prices are a bit high and it is very disorganized. I've been to the McKinley location on a couple of occasions including a long time ago and both times, I got what I needed, which is really all I can expect from a store like this in the end. Time to time I venture out here. I'm not a big artsy or crafty person so I don't go to this kind of store. I think the first time I was accompanied my ex. He likes decor stuff etc. Yesterday I had to pick up my daughter from work at corelife so I figured I would stop by and look for frame for my puzzle. I usually just buy it at Walmart but surprisingly for whatever reason Walmart has barely any frames! So hobby lobby it is. Since we have enough time before actually picking her up, we decided to browse around rather than just grab and go. They have quite good nifty stuff. Even fabrics. And jewelry making stuff. I cant stand this chain for a few reasons. Mostly because I don't find the aisles well marked and don't find things easy to find as a result. And since I tend to come to craft stores for specific things, not to browse, Id like to know where to find them quickly. But there was not a Michaels around that I found, so I popped in here for some paper stock. Eventually I found it. And the pricing, while slightly higher than it may have been at Jo-Anns or Michaels, was fine. It could go to 3 stars if they marked the aisles. Easy parking. read more

This place amazes me and THANK THEM for being closed on Sundays - I like a business willing to stand behind tradition and keeping some things sacred! The selection in this store is incredible - the prices are a bit confusing - simply because there is always so much at 50% off - however, the thing I wanted the most wasn't - :( I would have given this place 5 stars, but when I came upon a broken garden fountain and management wouldn't give me a deal on it - it left me a bit not interested - always received much better service in Erie PA! read more

I like Hobby Lobby. In fact, several of the aisles, especially the paint, pens, and paper aisles give me a total boner. This location is just like all of the others I've been to, but they have a whole section designated for clearance, which I LOVE. I came in here looking for 100% silk fabric (which they don't have) and a wooden box. I ended up finding a beautiful wooden box that was full priced so I used a coupon that I pulled from online while I was in the store. Even after the coupon, it was only $6, which I think is a great price! I totally love their decor/home goods items. I got a cool gold feather wall hanging for like $3 which I love! Another section that gives me a boner is the drawer pulls section. Omg!!!! It makes me want to replace every knob in my home several times per year. Knobs and boners galore at Hobby Lobby. Just don't forget to look up a coupon online!! read more

The sales associate Caitlyn apparently has a variation of the adage "The customer is always right", but substituting "Caitlyn" for "The customer". I have no idea what her malfunction is, but when I stopped at the counter to inquire about framing a painting, she was totally uninterested and dismissive of anything I had to say, talking over me repeatedly before I could finish my idea. What I was able to explain was that I was price shopping. My last painting cost a sizable amount at a reputable local framer, and she boasted that Hobby Lobby could perform the work for a lower cost, insinuating that local shops overcharge. If I was a less secure individual, I would think this upstart was attempting to make me feel stupid. After going through my requirements and providing a quote, the price was MORE than the local framer. To whit, the local framer, who is excellent yet doesn't particularly need the business, had told me before I went to Hobby Lobby that his framers have no less than 15 years experience at his shop, and he doesn't use coupon because he doesn't mark up the price so as to create the perception of value. Caitlyn was somewhat humiliated by the price quote she calculated that was more than my framer charged, and being the gentleman than I am, I did not take the opportunity to deflate her pomposity. Caitlyn and Hobby Snobby are an appropriate couple. read more

I have to say they do carry a large amount of stuff but what they do carry is on the pricey side. They don't let you use competitors coupon which to me is a huge deal since the best coupon they usually have is a 40% off. I've been there a couple of times since they have opened and have had an issue every time I've gone in there. I understand that they have just opened so I'm giving them a 3 star instead of the 2 I think they deserve... The first time I went in during their soft opening they had a massive amount of employees working on the floor to the point I couldn't go down an aisle without seeing an employee or being bothered by one... I'm more of an independent shopper, I know it's their job to ask me for help but it was ridiculous how many times I was asked if I needed help, in fact the one girl was rather creepy about following me even tho I told her I didn't need help... But I was just more annoyed since there did seem to be a lot of people doing nothing on the floor and they only had 3 registers open, I'm sure they could have sacrificed one of their minions on the floor to help cash. I spent more time in line than I did the whole time I was there. Which was probably in part to the fact that the customer in front of me had asked to talked to a manager because she was told she could use a competitor coupon by someone on the floor... Even tho the manager was up there she decided it was more urgent to deal with the mailman which had a problem than deal with the person who had asked for her... I just thought that it showed that they didn't care how long everyone had to wait even tho we were paying for their merchandise...Instead of honoring the percentage off that she was told she could use she was told that they didn't take coupons because they didn't need to... I work in customer service and if a customer is told one thing they should honor it especially since it was a manner of a10% difference... The second time I went in I bought some paper which was on sale. Apparently they have to hand key in everything AND they have to know what's on sale. The cashier I had was very friendly but she missed giving me the percentage off on some paper after she rang me out.. For a store that seems to have the technological capabilities to scan things it almost seems like the dark ages the way they have to ring everything up... I'm sure they have lots of accidents where people are charged the wrong price because they just have a messed up POS system... The last time I went in I went for a specific piñata for my sons birthday party which I had seen the previous time that I went there and was disappointed when I had to pick one of the other ones that didn't go with my sons birthday party decorations. When I was cashing out I asked the cashier when their truck day was and she kind of rolled her eyes and said that it was "today" ... And that was that she didn't seem even the remotely interested in actually helping me get what I needed... read more
